I have been out of the loop for a while, after getting tired of the poor performance and poor visuals in FSX. The graphics engine can no longer cut it in a world dominated by the likes of Cryengine.So what is the latest from MS? The last I remember the team was fired and FS11 was canned. Is this still the case?

When on the initial approach fix, or any point along the approach for that matter, why is it that when I tune Com 1 to the ATIS freq of terminal airport I hear zilcho. Whats going on. I need the weather to help plan the approach and can only get ATIS sat at the gate of the departure airport. Hi all,I never use to have this problem but recently I was flying the 747 FSX and I just could not put the frquency in. Usually I go to the fmc click on dep/arr button and select the arrival airport and click on an ILS runway and select then I go to nav radio always on the fmc and the frquency is there but this time for some reason I ma not able to, can someone help me please.RegardsPatrick

That's weird: I just downloaded FSUIPC v3.9, start FS9 and select the PMDG MD-11 and get the message that FSUIPC is too old and that I need v3.81.Anyone else having this issue??

Was wondering about the kneeboard for the PMDG 737-900. It would be nice to pull it up as well as the past atc instructions. Is there a way to get this on the panel?ThanksChris

Or maybe I never knew; I get the heading in degrees and nm (#) between each waypoint, but what are the top two numbers?For example 7000 & *3300 between STOIC and DIXXIE?Thanks in advance for re-educating me, LOL... :(

Somehow my Aircraft seems to have intermittent problems with all the Flight Displays,it turns on and off. I can run FS2004 with the MD-11 and all other PMDG products without a hitch, but when I actually load the MD-11 it appears the panel works for just under 20 secondsbefore it shuts down.I start the panel config with all different types of them and they don't seem to work.I've troubleshooted everything. Just needed some verificated and help on solving this really annoying problem.-- I've included a few screenshots, that should be enough evidence to support my case.P.S. I have completed all the neccesssary checklists, turned on the standby power ect... APU is functioning…

Hi Guys - Iv just re-installed the PMDG 747 and Mega Airport Heathrow (EGLL)All fine, but when i tune to EGLL to get landing clearance, and choose Select Another Runway, there are no runways in the list (only 9L, what ATC always give me).Any ideas what that could be, and how i maybe able to put the runways back in?Thanks!

Hello,I have been wanting to do a long haul flight, KJFK-EGLL, and want to start learning the process of flying over the Atlantic. I've done some reading about flying NATs, know where to find them, and have a very general understanding about them.But, I was wondering if there is a good written explanation about doing this type of flight. I would be dong this flight on VATSIM. If anyone has suggestions for study material, I would really appreciate it. I'm not asking for a long description in the forum, since I don't want to waste people's time, but was wondering if anyone had a good source for information material.Thanks for any advice,Chris KPMDG 747-400FS2004

Hello,I am having trouble putting together flight plans that work from start to finish in PMDG 737NG in FS9. Does anyone know of a resource that has flight plans that I can input with the correct approach and departures already in the plan. I have had both the PMDG 737 and 747 for about 2 years now and have just now began to try to learn them. I know I need to learn how to put this info together on my own but the leaning curve of the aircraft is enough for now. Thank You :(David Sanderson

I add the product to the shopping cart and then click on checkout, but the screen then comes up saying, your cart is empty, please add something to your cart. After landing when I put in a little thrust an alarm sounds and only turns off when I reduce thrust. I know why this happens when taking off but not after I have landed at my destination. Wondering what I am doing wrong. I've also noticed that air conditioning is lit up in the warning window next to MCP. Packs are on from the minute I start engines until I shut down after a flight. I've tried doing different things on the overhead panel but cant get the light to go off.Thanks. Chris

When I try to use the MD11 load manager, it won't open and I get the message when double-clicking the exe:"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\PMDG\MD11_LoadManager.exeThe application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail."Any suggestions? This is the very first incident I've had with the MD11, and I find the load manager very useful. I'm using Vista 32. I am having issues with high N1 percentages when starting to taxi. I have to be at about 50% N1 to barely start moving. The plane is <50% loaded.Any ideas why that is?Thanks,Marek

See this video I have not managed to cause any "tire failure" warning, but it would be cool if theres some certain touchdown V/S limit that would trigger the warning and start deflating the tires, and as they deflate, the airplane starts to loose directional control.

I was doing a flight from KIAD to KJFK in FSX and as I was filling the flight plan I noticed there was no data(no runways no sids no stars) so I just ignored it and just took off and decided to just fly to a nearby VOR and continue but then later I was flying from KDTW to KIAD and again, no data(No runways, no sids, no stars) so I asked a friend on gamespy and he had all the data but he said he updates his sids and stars often though. I asked another person and he didn't have any of the data for KIAD so I thought, I will just update my sids and stars but nope that didn't work.
