Hello guys,Im not sure it's completely realistic (please rectify my way of thought of it is), but i kind of like to manually take up the plane to about 4000 and activate Profile navigain once im level.The thing is, when i press autopilot during roll the i get T/O thrust also during the initial climb. my question is if it's possible to only allow the Autopilot to maintain a certain speed and not take over the NAV nor climb phase of the departure ?Thanks in advance.Paul Glinston

Sorry for posting this in here but is IVAO still online?, I have tried several times to join but there is an error on there webpage at the end of the registartion process, something about there email server. And I don't get an email response. I have tried contacting them and get no response, plus on there site there is a link to see who is online, and for the past several days I have yet to see any pilots or atc around, so just wondering if anyone in here uses IVAO or not and if they shut down or something that Im not aware of.

Hi Guys - Real quick question;Assuming i dont what runway ATC will have me land on, how do i know what STAR to program into the FMC? The STARS are selectable in the FMC (installed 0906 Airac).Bear in mind i cannot contact ATC (using the ' button) until im pretty close to the runway and i can see it in the 'Airports Further Away from Me' section.Can someone please help me? Ideally i dont want pages and pages of charts cluttering the place!

Before I configure the FMC I start FSpassengers inputting how much cargo weight, loading passengers and selecting the amount of fuel I have calculated for the flight out. FSP automatically takes that amount of fuel in weight/gallons and spreads it our evenly out all 3 tanks ( example 40% full in Left, Right and center tanks). I can change this but not sure what I should put in which tank. Should I completely fill the wing tanks and whatever is left put in the center or should I just leave an equal amount in each tankI use the 737-900 aircraftThanksChris

I spent about 6 hours this weekend flying around on short-haul trips (about 1 hour each way) and I have a couple of questions: Is it possible to use the second radio stack? I was always using the first one and was wondering how to get number 2 to work? I was wondering what the test switch does on the NAV section of the radio stack. A hand appears but I have no idea what happens when I push it? There is a traffic button on the EFIS panel and when I push it I get a circled section on the display. What purpose does this serve? I was wondering how to get the 737 to step climb. I have the MD-11, and I can get it to step climb just fine. I cannot find any mention of it in the manual, except that it is there. No description on how to use it. Any help is appreciated.Thanks,Brian

There is an issue with both pmdg airplanes in fsx where they cannot handle turbulance properly. This happens to no other addon airplanes, pmdg airplanes make s turns and cannot stay on track with weather from active sky advanced. The only solution is to turn off turbulence effects, which is quite a downer. I realize you are busy with other projects, but please pmdg, keep supporting your most popular and best products!

Just curious, is climbing to your cruise altitude at an airspeed of 315 per FMC calculations ok? I was always under the impression you were to climb at an airspeed over FL100 at no more than 280.Thanks

I apologize for any redundancy...I honestly have searched this forum and others and am suffering from information overload (between trying to be a solid virtual pilot and now learning this AWESOME md-11) Anyway...I've done the tutorial flight and am now trying to translate it to flying in my home stomping grounds in the U.S...from what I've read... you can make a flightplan from FSX flightplanner and import it someone into the FMC...but fsx stuff will not be up-to-date or accurate, nor will it incorporate sids/stars right? So that leaves the following options...1. create my own...which I've seen that other people do, but I am confused about it...I guess this almost belong…

Hi I'm in Kandahar Airport and approaching starts here from high altitude closer to secure area to avoid shooting by Taliban .The small and large planes just diving before landing and in the last phase level and final .Now I'm trying to land same way with PMGD MD-11 but I have real problem to reduce to the landing speed ,auto or manually its impossible .I know that MD11 is equipped with speed protections ,how pilots would land in real life Same problem in Innsbruck (LOWI) Austria .I cant reduce below 170 ktnPlease adviceJacekHappy landing

This has happened several times. I have just started my engines and completed my after engine start and taxi checklists. I then increase the throttles but as soon as I do the power level drops down to idle and i can't increase power. I review over the procedures to make sure I didn't forget anything but I get the same problem. I restart my flight all over again doing the same things but then everything works like its supposed to and I am able to continue on with the flight. Wondering if anyone out there has had the same problemThanks,Chris

Hi all .. Just purchased the MD11 and really enjoy the aircraft. Almost completely working 100% except for one little detail. The plane taxi's a takes off fine and fly's great but when I land it goes straight down the runway until I fall below 60 kts and turn off Rev thrusters. As i slow down it suddenly starts to pull hard right. The rudder pedal goes right to the floor rudder is hard over and I have to almost give it full left to get off the runway. checked the brakes ect to make sure its not over heated and tried settings both in fsx controller settings and also in fsuipc both do the same thing. Hi. I have a problem with PMDG 747 Airspeed Indicator. The problem is that during the flight the Airspeed Indicator shows for exaple 356 knots while the Ground Speed shows 512 knots. I was wondering if this a bug or there might be a soloution to this issue. By the way I have FSX on my PC.Thanks

I just received through the door MD-11XInstalled the software and appeared to complete normallyRan fsx and selected a default aircraft (172)Then selected the md-11I got all the normal messages about dlls' and clicked on thoseI then saw that the cockpit didn't have any instruments at all. Im running the latest patches for both fsx and vista 64any help would be appreciated.John Maracle

in every checklist for the 744 I am never told to de-select apu bleed from the overhead panel once the apu is off. Shouldn't I do this? Or is it not necessary?ThanksAlex
