I have Real Environment Xtreme installed, and their 3D-Contrails.Now, I'm level at FL370, with a contrail ofcourse, but it's still the defaukt contrails! (With all the other planes they are the REX contrails) Someone knows what to do?Renzo

I know what the response is going to be is to change alt but the problem iam having at the moment when iam above fl 240 to fl 350 and winds are between 40 to 90 in any direction my speed tape goes eractic goes up and down like a yo yo which mean genrally i get overspeed flying an md 11

I know how to add a DME arc into the Nav display, by entering it into the FMC Fix page. It shows up as a dotted green arc. Is it possible to add the DME arc to the active route so that it becomes purple and can be tracked in LNAV?

Hi guys,I've been trying to search for this topic but can't find exactly what I looking for.I've been trying to fly my PMDG plane (B737NG in FS9 and B747X in FSX) in fog. Usually in clear weather, I use the FMC provided to key in my route and obtain Straight out departure with ATC, thus I'll be flying VFR.But in fog, I have to fly IFR but I do not really know how to obtain the clearance from ATC. What I did was to create a new flight plan between the 2 airports using FS default flight plans just to obtain clearance, but I still continue with my own flight plan keyed into FMC to fly en-route (which is different to that of the FS flight plan)Is there any other way to get ar…

Hi,I was using the MD-11 via online flying and was told to transfer to an even numbered frequency but when I tried to change to the specific frequency it wouldn't work? The trouble is I can't remmeber which one it was which maybe isn't any help but has anybody noticed this or is this a general problem?ThanksJason

Hi. I was wondering if it is possible to have a FO display of the ND and PFD for the 737NG. I would like to have a monitor display the FO side of the cockpit with which I could drag the ND and the PFD to. I think this would mean changing some things in the config. file. The remedy might be to be able to double up on the pilot's ND and PFD as save them as the FO display side. I guess I would like to have a selection under instrument views as "FO displays" and then be able to call it up and undock it and drag it to another monitor. Just an idea I have. I've been using the MD11 in FSX for many weeks with great success with everything functioning as it should.But in the last fortnight an inexplicable problem has occurred ... when in autoflight/nav mode the aircraft struggles to hold the programmed fmc course.During climb and cruise it will veer up to forty degrees either side of the course as it struggles to hold the desired heading.At first I thought it was due to wind shift changes (I use Active Sky Advanced) but I've since ruled this out.The aircraft has been behaving perfectly up until now and I can't figure out what's going on.Anyone else experienced this and if so what's the solution?Thanks.Frank

Hi,I was planning to get my printed manuals for MD-11 and first I tryed to login at PMDG's online shop. I was startting to fill in those boxes what is asked to, but when I come to the countury I live in I can't find it. All of them are there even those tinyest ones, but mine (Slovenia - it's small indeed but not small enogh) is not there! :( How is this possible?Aljaz

hisometimes in the FMC i read messages that i don't understandi searched in the manual, but nothingthese messages are:-UNABLE NEXT ALT, when i engage VNAV after initialising the FMC with a SID;-MAX ALT FLXXX, it happens sometimes (XXX is a variable number)and another issue:i usually calculate the fuel with the tables and the tutorial provided in the fuel planning page of the manuali calculated the fuel based on a ZFW and a trip lenght,and i calculated a reserve of 45000 lbs of fuelbut when i setup the FMC, i go to the progress page and i see that the planned fuel at destination is 0.0 lbs, so in the reserve section of the PERF INIT page in the FMC i have to insert 0.0 to …

hi, i experienced a weird issue with the PMDG 744 Xi was on a route from heathrow to hong kong, and about ten minutes after departure i was flying at 25000 feet with LNAV and VNAVafter passing this altitude the autopilot began rolling to the left surpassing the maximum bank angle (i heard the warning sign "bank angle), without following the route wich was a straight linei disengaged the autopilot and with manual control i leveled again the plane, but as soon i took my hand off the joystick the airplane rolled again to the lefti checked the IRS and the trims, all normal, i also thought about a weight problem, but looking at the fuel planning tables in your manual, my plann…

Hi probably not the right forum but when i taxi out and look on outside view i notice theres smoke coming from the wheels like that i left my brakes on but of course havnt sine i wouldnt be able to taxi any ideas

I just began starting the MD-11 with the engines off and I have a quick question about the GW entry on the Weight INIT page. When calculating the GW do I add the ZFW+total Fuel+ taxi Fuel or is the 1500lbs for taxi assumed? I read the section in the manual but I'm still a little confused; thanks.

Hello,I have the PMDG 737NG - Whenever I disengage the Autopilot, I completely lose control of the elevator! No matter how far forwards or backwards I push the stick, the elevator doesn't budge, and the aircraft stays in its current pitch unless I adjust the trim. Other control surfaces remain controllable.Thanks for your help and time,robbier

I set up a flight plan and import it into Radar Contact and then into FS9 that ends at a VOR that is the IAF for a runway but of course the runway has not been assigned as I am at the departure airport. Everything is great and I fly along interacting with ATC and when I get to the last waypoint prior to the VOR mentioned, I get clearance to ILS runway xx. I have to go to my CDU and select that ILS from the Dep/Apr key and when I do (and the hit EXEC) the approach lights up on the expanded map mode showing the "route" in the magenta color.I then click APP on the MCP and the CDU flashes Invalid Nav and the APP light will not light. Hey guys beta team is it possible to place a weather radar from reality xp to B744 and MD-11?

Lately I`M not able to get the FMC to work properly. I follow the tutorial step by step, but when I`m finished there are no ETO SPD OR ALT in my FP. Therefore I`m not able to activate vert. prof mode. There are also lots of information in the weightpage that is not there. No ILS frq/hdg is shown in the NAV RAD section. This makes it rather frustrating to fly the MD-11, I love this plane. CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH THIS?

I have a few ideas for ssome future releases for PMDG. I live in australia and we have a regional airline called Regional Express or REX. They operate a fleet of Saab 340 turboprop aircraft. These are lovely aircraft that look very sleek. Some people call this aircraft the modern DC3 because it is so reliable. After a browse around the freeware sites I found there were no aircraft that met my standards for FSX. I would love to have a PMDG Qulity version of this aircraft and think it would be very popular. Also you should make an Airbus A380 for FSX as your next airliner, this would be a very popular addon and would lots of fun.
