I often fly with PMDG 747 into kai taki have all the appropriate navaids and procedures, but when i start his flight i get on the primary eicas display the yellow caution message: LANDING ALTi read the pmdg manual ablut the abnormal procedures, and under the title LANDING ALT the manual says: Condition: Disagreement between controller landing altitude and FMC landing altitude. CREW ACTION: LANDING ALTITUDE SWITCH MAN LANDING ALTITUDE CONTROL SET Manually set landing altitude.where are these switches???where do i manually select landing altitude??please help!!

Need some help here - just had a midair problem and had to land at nearest airport but was overweight... well the plane, not me lol.I put the weight required in the Init page of the fmc and had dump time of 0005 - so pressed the dump switch and left on for 5 mins to reduce the fuel.What I want to know is, is this the right proceedure? as I had Dump valve disagree in the ecam.I read the fsc has no control over dumping but am I doing it right? Can't find the proceedure in the manuals.John Ellison

Hi Guys - Would someone mind helping me with the taxi procedure and ATC?Lets say im at a gate, and dont know what runway im allowed to take off from. How do i use the default FS2004 ATC for take off? Directions to the runway? I assume once i have the runway, i can then input the SID and link it to my route?Also, when i land, ( i get landing permission from ATC fine ), how do i get to the gate? Anyone recommend some third party ATC?One last question - what is the 'standard' taxi-ing speed or throttle setting?Thanks again for your help.

Hello there,I have read not statement about the next update for the MD11.I know you are very busy on the BAE (but I do not have FSX so I will not fly on it yet) but I wanted to know if you plan to release a fix to the ILS interception (which was not totally fixed by the first patch).Maybe you are working on many other updates (polar navigation and so on) and you wait for this completed before release it? Hi everyonerecently I've been practicing my crosswind landings with 747however i'm always getting podstrikesIf I'm crabbing while I touch down, usually podstrike happens when I try to correct my heading after touch down (if I correct it slowly it will drift off the rwy center line)If I do it the one wing low method, it's always too low such that the outer engine hits the ground as I landI'm landing with ~18kts crosswind, which should be well within the structural limitsis there any method which I can try? thanks in advanceSam

Hello,Does anybody know which was the last AIRAC that matches FS9 runways? Does any navigraph one match or only the older navdata.at ones? With newer ones, several airports runway on the FMC doesn't match FS9 runway, even default airport, as MS doesnt always have fs9 airport in the exact real life position, which AIRAC bases itself on. HiI have two problems one is with the boeing 737 seriesThe PMDG fuel menu in the drop down doesn't work. If I select the fuel option it loads up the options to change various settings for the plane and not the fuel menu. The only way I can load fuel is using an external PMDG fuel PlannerThe second problem I have is with the MD11. The aircraft will load and initialize only if I select the defaul precision manuals painted aircraft. If I select another livery that I have installed from a download from your website the panels are black and the aircraft does not initialize, I do not get the green bar stating that the aircraft is initializing and therefore I cannot fly a li…

I cannot seem to get any of the downloads of the MD-11 from the PMDG site. I also have the disc version and everything seems to have downloaded but when I open FSX and select the aircraft, nothing appears except the default PMDG MD-11 passenger, freighter etc. I'm trying to download the Delta MD-11 with GE's but they do not appear in the selection menu....Any ideas?jack

Does of anyone know of a plain white paint job or any other plain paintjob for the 744 pax and freighter, also for the MD-11 pax and freighter. If there are none available would any pianters be willing to do one of these?ThanksAndrew

I'm new with PMDG software. I just purchased the 737 800/900 DVD for FS9. When I go to the Load Manager in FS9/PMDG file, I can not put any values in the boxes of the Load Manager or move any of the cursors. All the values show "0".Can anybody help? Thank you, Georgios Makridakis.

Anyone who uses both have any problems? I have one that I have seen so far and that is when I use the key assigned to fspassengers nav,speed,altitude etc. When I use the key assigned, the input values desired are not vocally sounded and put into the autopilot. Thanks

However, when I tried to install both the update from my version (1.0) to (1.2) I encountered a few errors.I bought the 744F a few days ago and tried to install it. I figured that since I had only 1.0 I had to update it. I can't install the 744F until my 744 is updated (I figured) so when I tried to update the 744 it gave me a few errors. I was wondering if you guys could help me out and give me a clue to what is going on with this! Hello all. Last week I installed fs9 and the PMDG MD11 on my new system. I also added some add on liveries and everything worked fine. Yesterday I installed the 747 and this is when eveything went wrong. When I tried to change aircrafts, my simulator would crash. I then uninstalled the 747. Now fs9 would not load the add on liveries on the md11. The texture folders are correct and the CFG file are correct. Fs9 would only show the Default PMDG MD11. This problem is with the MD-11. I can see the landing, taxi, logo, wing, and runway turnoff lights but that is it. I cannot see the nav, beacon, or strobe lights whether it is day or night. I run FSX with almost all of the sliders more towards the left. I keep the Global textures at the max and the aircraft settings pretty high as well. My specs are 2.0 Ghz Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo Processor, 2GB Ram, Nvidia NVS 135M video card with 128-MB memory. To my surprise with this system and the setting that I use, I will get 15-20 FPS at the busiest airports in FSX. So does anyone have any ideas as to why I cannot see these lights and what I should do?Jared

After 2 months reading and research, printing 600 page manuals (on work's printer, obviously), I have just completed my first ILS landing in the PMDG 747.I know i probably shouldnt post this, but im so pleased!I just wanted to say thanks to the people that helped me and the PMDG support guys.
