Now that developers found their way to implement icing conditions as a bitmap change on the visual model, the thought came up: This should be possible with windshield precipitation too. The triggers for this: Rainy or snowy conditions and when on the ground. I'm thinking of a static image here, like i did it (as shown below) with FSX effect system. The effect system isn't very suitable for this because the bitmaps are about 5 meters outside the plane and can't be switched off when in spot view. But it shure adds from inside (you can't see the animated drops that hit the screen or slowly slide down the windshield). Just a hint :( Gerrit

I understand people have AP and AT disc on their yokes, how do you guys do it? The Key assignment menu only recognizes keyboard input, so how do you assign yoke buttons? I've been flying with PMDG for years, but I must've missed something super obvious on this one. Please, do tell ;)

Hello,I'm building an external autopilot for 737NG 700 that use the keybord keys and use an old keyboard with USB bus.Is possible to know the FSUIPC OFFSET for show on electronics external displays (on my external MCP) the current Heading selected, CRS, altitude, vertical speed, airspeed as currently show on the MCP of the panel?I'll use it with an opencockpits (www.opencockpits.com) card connected with parallel port of my PC to show current setting.Sorry for my English.Thanks a lot.Rossano Capannini

Hi PMDG Team,i am a proud user of your "Queen" and purchased the MD-11 two times (once download at release and later the boxed Version) to support you in releasing fascinating products in future. But every time i change plattform for my FSX (first it was Win XP, then Vista 64, now WIN7 64bit RC1) , it's really fu**ing bad to install all the liveries one-on-one!Why you don't create liveries-packs which include all the available liveries for an aircraft, for them who want to have all the fantastic liveries installed, and don't have time to install it one by one, that's stupid!I hope you think about this well-meant criticism.regards from Vienna/AustriaP. Hi allI was wondering if someone could help me with a landing issue with the PMDG 747-400 pax and PMDG 737-800 at EGLL with addon Mega Airport London Heathrow scenery (FS9). Thought I would try here first before going to Aerosoft forum in case this was a lack of data input by me for the pmdg.Just to outline my understand of this, I'm quite newish to a lot of this.My problem is that when I land at egll on the mega airport scenery the plane always seems to land about 15 feet or more to the left of the centre line every time I try to land.When I enter the routing and approaches into the fmc it is all from the fmc data and is not changed by me at all. After install the server pack for PMDG744X, I think I find out a little mistake in A/P model. When use VNAV climbing to an assigned CRZ altitude, if the MCP ALT setting is lower than the CRZ ALT which be assigned in FMC CRZ page. The PITCH Command mode in PFD will annunciate ALT instead of VNAV ALT, also on the MCP, ALT HOLD light will be enlightened. VNAV light will extinguish. But the FMC still have control to the speed. I can still either use CI value to change speed or by input a speed manually. The SPD light is not enlightened on the MCP.This seemed abnormal. If engage the ALT HOLD mode, the SPD should be controlled via MCP not FMC.This behavior I haven't meat before…

Greetings All,This issue may be discussed elsewhere but I was wondering....I'm trying to to/from NZQN however the data appears to be unknown (eg RWY05 unknown). Further research in the FMCWP file shows that AIRAC0907 has NZQN with RWY05l/r and RWY23l/r.Does anyoneone have a current NZQN SIDSTAR file?. Alternatively is there any resolution that I could apply to rectify the problem.Because of my inexperience I'm not sure if this is a PMDG or NAVDATA issue.I would be grateful for any steerage of the solution.Thaks,Shane StoppYPPH

helloi have installed the pmdg 737 onto my system,, i run vista 64 biti install via the regular .exe files and after installing, i see the texture files located in the aircraft and in the .cfg file i see them listed in proper numberical order.when i load fs9 i only see textures installed from the 700 model but not the 800 model.please help

Hi All,Firstly I have contacted PMDG Support about this and I have had some answers that unfortunately have not solved any issues. So I thought i'd share the problem here to see if anyone can help?The original problem was that I can not load any flights. I.E if I wanted to practise my approach in the MD-11 then I would like to load the flight just before hitting the LOC. I just downloaded the 600/700 package yesterday (so it is version 1.3). I am updated to MSFS 9.1 and have an unregistered version of FSUCIP 3.4. So far, great product. One thing, my failures do not seem to be working correctly. For example...1) I'll select an engine fire to occour within a few seconds. But, instead of an engine fire the eng overheat lamp illuminates on the throttle quardrent. No bells, no nothing, no EICAS warning. 2) I'll select gear failures...nothing apparently occours.3) APU fire works!I haven't tried every single failure, but aside from the APU failure, nothing else is working properly or at all????I did do a forum search for this and didn't come up …

PMDG - "Error initializing DirectSound. Application will now exit."Then FS9 closes completely. This happens whenever I select the PMDG 737 in FS9 menu.I googled the error find some solutions, but they all they say is it has something to do with DirectX drivers not being installed or whatnot. But the thing is I have run the PMDG several times successfully before this (I just got it a few days ago; have just been reading manuals and tinkering with the cockpit).Anybody had this problem before and know a solution?MichaelEDIT: Also, I just found out I don't have sound working at all. I remember somewhere that Robert mentioned something about the J41 advanced failure module would have some new features in comparison to the past PMDG releases. I also remember that he mentioned he wasn't sure if the new module would make it into the initial release, or, be released shortly after as an addon to the J41.I just saw the J41 product page at the PMDG site and it didn't mention anything in regards. Not complaining, just curious if this module is still a plan for the J41 release?JB

In the shiFty picture thing on PMDG's website, there's a picture of what looks to be a Saab 430. I may just be mistaking it, but it looks different than any other aircraft PMDG has out.

Well I finally (better late than never) took the plunge on my first payware airliner. After a lot of reading and some personal preference I decided on the PMDG 737-600/700. For the most part, I have not been disappointed...it is definitely a lot to absorb!! As I am in the process of familiarizing myself with the aircraft, I decided to try a couple 'shakedown' flights (sans FMC) justto see how some things function. Hi Folks,Was flying into LOWI (Innsbruck) and noticed that it has no ILS approaches only LLZ. So How do I do the approach as I;m not sure?One soloution I thought was descend to the last fix for approach then do a V/S? I use Radar Contact and the other day (I use the 737-900) they told me to slow to 250 (my current FL 110) from about 265. Just wondering if I need to disconnect from LNAV and manually slow to that speed or if I can input that speed into the FMC and have it do the same. Also to note is that I was between waypoints when issued that speed restriction so I couldn't just input that speed to my next waypoint. Another question regarding using Radar Contact. Every flight around 100nm from my destination airport I'm told to descend to either FL110 or 100 and I'm told to be at that level within 30nm from the airport. I'm just wondering if real ATC always issue this "be at FL ___ wi…
