This is just meant as a detour. If people want to complain about the rule, here ya go. At least this way there will only be one topic that should be deleted rather than several posts,,, a time saver no doubt.

I have been running all my PMDG planes just fine on FS9. I installed FSX, got bad FPS then uninstalled it. Now when I run FS9 again ALL of my PMDG planes have an immediate CTD the moment I select any of them from the menu inside FS9. What the hell is causing this? Do I need to do a full reinstall of each one? I really hope not as it take ages with all the service packs.

Hi all,When trying to install my 747-400X, an NOTAM comes mentionning this: Your FSX version is more recent than FSX SP1 This product was tested previously using FSX- SP1, Acceleration and SP2. When starting my FSX a fatal error occurs just after my clic on a pop up window to run a file .DLL of PMDG747-400X!!!Is there any solution for this? Many thanks for any response,H

I fly for a VA and have been noticing slowly over the last few years the transition from B767 and B747 to B777/A340/A380. My two fav a/c are the LevelD 767 and PMDG B744 because of the complexity of their FMC...but actual routes are getting harder to come by (ie. replicating RW routes). Sooner rather than later all the B763s and B744s are going to be mothballed and I'll have to fly routes using 'less complex' payware a/c such as Wilco, etc. This isn't a problem if you fly offline, but I enjoy flying online and like to be able to just 'dial in' the SID/STAR as requested by online ATC rather than try to manually fly it :(It therefore means, for VA flying, we're going to nee…

I could load 100% fuel in both my 747x and my MD11, and during the whole flight I will get the default critically low fuel warning. I was wondering if I was doing something wrong or is this something I should just ignore?Patrick Boynton

Dear PMDG,was in the process of purchasing the 747X (Download) for $54.99 on the PMDG website when I was alerted to FRYS selling the boxed version for $29.95.Now being in Australia makes it slightly difficult for me to pick-up from my local FRYS.So would it be possible to get some feedback on how they are selling (Boxed) for $25 less than I could pay to download it?I am a great fan of all the PMDG items I have purchased over the years as I have always considered the products to be some of (if not) the best for flightsim - but this would seem quite inequitable...RegardsScott

I've been following the 737 NGX for a while now but I always keep wondering what kind of frames I will be able to get with my computer. For all the talk about how long it is taking about the completion of 737NG I am starting to wonder whether my computer will hack it anyway. My current set up runs MD11 and J41, the former being a memory hog and the latter a big hitter on frame rates. It copes reasonably well. This is not really a question about my setup, which was a high end machine a couple of years ago but now starting to lag behind,but about the inevitable advance of complexity. I for one do not find satisfaction in the so called "lite" products but if the 737NG is going to be a combination of the aforegoing (MD11/J41) but bigger and better then I don't know that there will be any point in me buying it…

This one is a bit off topic BUT it does involve the NG! Unless the reporters messed this one up and reported incorrectly (they NEVER do that) I couldn't believe a CEO would even THINK of doing this. Wanna see accident rates go sky high because one pilot couldn't handle the workload. It WOULD happen. Can sombody confirm that it is not possible to move the flaps without at least one engine running? I dont understand why they dont move as all indications show full HYD pressure from ground power to the electric demand pumps? or is duct press related?thanksFynn

I try and manually fly the PMDG 747-400X as much as I can... but when I fly with FS Passengers X running, I usually only manually handle the aircraft during taxi and on take-off to about 500 feet after which, yes you guessed it, I engage the autopilot which ends up being in command of the magnificent PMDG 747-400X all the way to the end of my destinations runway; auto-land included obviously. We all have a tendency to be loud and boisterous when a developer doesn't operate the way we think they should. Sometimes it's justified, sometimes not. Hello gents, I have been making a spreadsheet of some small hops around the states (state to state basically) and plan on making it available once I finish. I am trying to do most flights over 200 miles (Some are 400ish)so it can be used for shuttle flights in the MD-11 and some nice trips in the JS41 as well. Hi guys, I found a neat site that has streaming ATC audio. http://www.liveatc.net/Basically, just go to the site and in the top left enter the airport you want to listen to then select how you want to listen to it in either Flash, Java or MP3. I just did a couple flights and didn't have any issues and heard it fine. I chose the Flash option and just left IE running behind FS. I've been listening to KBOS all morning, it's pretty cool so wanted to pass it along.Also, you can choose a lot of different freqs to listen to such as Clearence, Ground, Tower, Approach, Departure, etc... etc...~Enjoy

I recently purchased a new computer and installed the PMDG 737-600/700 software from a CD that I purchased from Aerosoft. Previous to this, I already purchased the 800/900 software as a download from PMDG for my old computer. Hey guys. I really dont want to be pushy, and I understand you have a lot to do. If you cant give weekly updates, then I totally understand. I have patience :) However, I thought I read in relation to the dreamlifter release that PMDG would start having weekly forum updates on the NGX now that we are nearing the release. Did I misunderstand?
