To everyone at PMDG all the team including the beta testers who dont get much recontion for there work too, iv been avid fan of pmdg iv brought all the products for fsx, i use to be a true heavy fan loved the modern cockpits autoflight systems and being spoilt by all the computer aided flight techonaloy made me loose touch with my basics and how we all started off flying a cessna say and being at the grip of the controls the whole flight watching our systems tracking vors and just rmembering how much workload there really is to do on your own, i use to think i really new the md11 747 to name a few inside out but then along come something new from pmdg which they got quite…

Hi!Lately I´ve been experiencing some lateral oscillations with PMDG planes which are apparently unrelated to weather shifts. The 737 at high altitude does a slight but constant left and right banking, like it´s trying to chase the route but overshoots it and tries to go back, and so on. The MD-11 stays on track, but every 5 minutes or so it does a pair of noticeable left-right 5 degree banks, stabilizes, and then does it again. All of this has been observed in FS9 and FSX on Windows 7 64, clean installs, clear weather with no winds, just running PMDG planes with latest updates and a registered version of FSUIPC. I was wondering, I want another PMDG aircraft, and the two that I would like that seem to be the closest to being out are the one that's obviously already out the Queen X, and from what I've read the next thing coming out will be the NGX, and I am wondering, which I should get, I love long haul, but also like the shorter flights as well. Hi all, I sometimes see people have the airport of their home town in there info and sometimes do a flight from or to it just for some random fun. So,,, what is the closest Major airport from you and what would be the closest "Any" airport (Air Field, carrier, etc...).For me it's:KBOS for major airport (25 minutes away) & closest airstrip of any kind is KLWM about a 5 minute drive.*The main thing here for the small airport also is too see if you discover an airport closer to you than you think. Here's a good map to aid in your search of airports. You may be surprised to see there's a small airstrip right down the street! :(

I thought I would ask this here in the PMDG forums as you guys are well known for good/optimized A/C codingThe question is if it's possible to code aircrafts for FSX in a way that they take advantage of multiple cores better or this is an FSX limitationIf I'm not wrong PMDG uses many rutines that circumvent FSX's APIs and was wondering if that also allows to program things in a more multithreaded way or FSX will always be "funneling" threads in a way that renders those efforts uselessOf course I'm not interested in the details if it's actually feasible, it's just to have an idea about how FSX will scale with future generations of CPUs that will be 8 or 16 core unitsThanks

Dear Captains,I would like to make a small upgrade to the configuration below. My FSX runs decently with the MD11 in 2d cockpit (25-30 FPS) but not with the J41 (15 FPS).I dont have the money right now to upgrade to a new i7 platforms so I was thinking about upgrading the processor to a Q9650 quad. What do you guys think?Is it worth it? Hi guys, I know PMDG doesn't have any amphibious aircraft, at least not yet but I am trying to build up enough bucks to buy the JS41 for my virtual company and have flown 100+ hours in the past few weeks in the C182 and Moony that's starting to bore me a bit. I would like to break up the monotimy a little and start some harbor to harbor flights but after search after search after search cannot find anyway to come up with anything. Am I even using the right name in my searches "Air Harbors"? I have flown a few in Washington and they look great with FTX's touches, but does anyone know an easier way to locate them? I always appreciated others posting interesting stories of unfortunate accidents of our favorite aircraft, but am amazed with this one at the fact that there was only 1 death, wow, just look at the wreckage. 1 death, that's out of 131 people on board. I'm trying to run PMDG 747-400 X on Flight Sim X and I'm getting an error message.When I originally tried to run install a popup appeared saying "emulator detected...disable virtual drive. " After some homework, I disabled the SCSI initiator on Vista at which point the program installed successfully.I have Service packs 1 & 2 installed and Cessna Citation X add-on works fine. FSX also works fine but when I try to select the PMDG model (any of the 10 or so) which have been installed, it says "mainDLL cannot find PMDGOptions.DLL" and then "DMDG_747400_Overhead.DLL cannot find PMDGOption.DLL" then the sim crashes citing a fatal error. I am running the installation …

HyeI cannot find anymore in the PMDG site web the wikipedia link where there was all the information ops where we could in between find the order installation for the aicrafts for fs9 and FSX . If someone could give me it I will appreciate a lot . Thanks regards

...just DC10-30's or have a few DC10-10's made the change as well? Flightdeck wise, are there many differences between the MD-10 and MD-11? I'd imagine that some systems, for example the fuel system, couldn't be as automated as the MD-11 without major hardware changes. Any FEDEX pilots here to enlighten me? Cheers, Chris Dalgarno

Hello Folks!I like the engine smoke from the Concorde...Does anyone knows if there's an add-on out there that will create engine smoke...I'd like to have it on all my add-on airplanes to make it more realistic!
