PMDG General Forum

Gents:After a crash and re-installing everything and getting it activated there are no appproaches available when seeting up the FMC. I think I have done everything in the correct order.I did a search here but didn't come up with the answer.Any help would be appreciated.

HelloI have installed the 737-600 -700 800 -900 after the 747-400 and MD 11 all in fs9 .Is that that can explain that I cannot more open the 747 and MD 11 as as soon I click on the 747 or md 11 fs9 closes immediately ? Do I have to reinstall the 747 and MD 11 ?I have delete the render texture = 0 line from the fs9 .cfg . as seen in the support . Thanks in advance for help as I am frustrated not to fly with the MD 11 and 747 -400 regardsPatrick

hi guys,so im setting up a flight to mumbai, and i cant find a waypoint that is close to the runway heading of what runway i want to land at. is it possible to make a custom waypoint or 'fix'?cheers

Well they do make the best planes so just imagine how good they could be on their own coded software. Just a thought :)

hi guys,this is an update to the earlier post i did, about what would happen if you saved, then went back into that flight, well i did that, and this happened.the A/C went bonkers and i ended up with 3 engine fires, and 12000 feet above cruise alt.

Hi guys,I heard something very distressing over the past 3 hours. Apparently PMDG is closing down??? If anyone knows about this, replies are most welcome :(

As we all know touching the rudder in any regime of flight except for engine out or decrab is considered very bad practice in transport category aircraft.I find crosswinds in FS highly unrealsitic regading this, I am able to get the aircraft down smoothly but the approach in high crosswinds and gusts (within aircraft limits) seem to require some rudder input before the decrab.Is this just a FS limitation, Can anyone give me some tips? If I was to use the rudder in a real Sim session on approach I would be failed.Thanks

Hi there. Its been some years since I last bought a product from PMDG. I simply had to stop buying every aircraft available and start flying them.The time has now come to change seats and go fly something new, like the MD-11 and the B747. The problem however, is that my stationarycomputer, which I run FS9 on, does not have any internet connection due to preference and thats what you require it to have if im gonna buy anyof your products?Is there any way around this? Because I have to buy an external wifi (we only have wireless internet where we live) for the computer, and suddenly everything becomes a little more costly and time consuming...Thanks for helping me out.Yngve

I have installed an mcp and driver for the 737 today and since then I have no nightlighting on just the Standby Altimeter so when its night and I turn the o/head light switch on the sby alt instrument only disappears ,everything else is fine. It probably has nothing to do with the mcp/driver but if anyone can point me in the direction of what folder to look in to find the culprit I'd be most grateful.regards Jim R

I'm already a subscriber to nDAC for charts, but haven't got to grips with how to update the waypoint/navdata etc, especially where JS41 is concerned. Are there not two sets of data in operation here: one for FSX and another just for JS41?Can anyone advise this relative newbie (medium-tech, certainly not high-tech :( )? Anything which maximises availability of SID/STAR procedures for the FMS would be great too. A related point: what's the best app for offline flight planning for JS41? The manual mentions FSNavigator, but FSN no longer seems to be a live project.Many thanks for any assistance! Best wishes,David Abrahams

Would anyone be as kind to give their thoughts regarding flying on VATSIM. The concept itself looks great but some feedback from people who actually use VATSIM would be invaluable in my decision as to whether I download the programs and try flying online.Thanks in advanceAndrew

Hii actually have a cockpit of 737 based in PMDG. That makes that it has a little limitations because of unknown offsets.i would like to know if in this new version there will be open offsets in order to progrma scripts top make it work.PMDG would be a perfect base to have a real simulator.The problem is that witough the offsets cockpit builders can not use it and we must use other programs as ORION, project magenta......Also, i would like to know if the new throttle of 737NGX will be smooth. in actual version, when you put A/T the levers move with jerky movements. if you have a real 737 tq it follow the movements of the virtual tq so it moves up and down fastyou can see…

hi guys, when u save a flight like u would with a default a/c, does the fmc get wiped if u do that with the pmdg 744?cheers

Like pretty much everyone here I'm looking forward to the release of the NGX. Lately I have been spending time reading posts in the 737 forum and I plan to download some FCOM's and put in some heavy studying. Now I think after spending many happy years using the PMDG 747-400 I have a very good understanding of Boeing philosphy, however I am wondering how easy the transition to the NGX will be.Could experianced PMDG 744 & 737 drivers share there views on differences between handling the two? eg moving from one type to the other, I found learning the LDS 767 very easy after using the 744 for so long, is it the same for the 737Cheers
