I've never purchased any products from PMDG's website and I'm still using a dial-up Internet connection (I live in the boonies). I want to purchase the J41, but my connection will probably disconnect before the download is complete. Can I use a download manager so that I can resume the download? And what is the size of the download? Thanks. I'm looking forward to flying this turboprop.

I have recently acquired a second LCD monitor on my PC. With a new CPU, RAM, video card and mobo I am having great performance using the VC in the PMDG B744. Do any of you use two monitors when flying this bird? Any performance issues from doing so (anything to watch out for to avoid performance issues?). I would imagine the VC on my front monitor and perhaps the overhead on my second monitor, but I'd be interested in any other views that people here are using.Thanks- and this B744 bird is the best! When I'm on approach, the 'legs' section in the FMC, has a speed of 143knots for landing, (as with all waypoints there's a speed), anyhow, usually the FMC changes the speed to the one programmed, that did happen in this flight, except with final, the FMC didnt change the speed, am I meant to change the speed in the MCP for the landing speed? note; this is before I put it into APP, so it's still in VNAV.Also, with the lags page in the FMC, the alttitude that is put next to the speed is the altitude you're meant to be at whilst passing that waypoint right? if so, why does it change as in keeps going up a few feet then down?Thanks, as usually, im confused, (such a noob)Const…

Hello, I have installed Reality XP's weather radar into the ND of my PMDG 737-700. I also have the Sandel ST3400 TAWS and was wondering if there was a mod to integrate that to the ND as well so the TRN button will work just like the WX button does. I looked everywhere for this integration and only found that it was being worked on back in '05.Any info. would be appreciated. Thanks!

When I enter the company route, that appears, ive tried a few routes, all the same message, ive tired routes with different origin, same message but different runway, I think thats why I cant arm LNAV and VNAV.ThanksConstantine V EDIT: Opps sorry, didnt see how bad this post was.When I enter a route, into the FMC, the warning 36 RNW load error, usually accompanied buy another/the corresponding runway shows up, I can easily clear the message, but LNAV and VNAV wont arm, I think I maybe doing somthing else wrong. The route I'm entering is a route PMDG provides from the Flightplan folder, and I am entering it in the Company route section in the FMC.I have the 747-400X.Thanks…

I was checking out some other videos and found this one featuring the PMDG 737NG flying into St. Barths with the notoriously short runway that you have to hug the hill and dodge traffic to reach the runway.

I don't know why all the PMDG aircrafts experienced very strange tracking "error". For the entire flight the aircraft was heading across it's track by about 15 degrees. The magenta line on the ND was pointing off to the right by 15 degrees while the aircraft's track and heading were normal. The aircraft however was tracking the magenta line.All the pmdg products have the same issue. I've tried with winds and without winds. All got the same. The Navdata is updated to cycle 1008 and FSX is updated to Acceleration.Pls. help.Sagan Lo

I was wondering that since the J41 was a testbed for new VC development techniques and worked out so well for the PMDG team, it did certainly take its toll on performance with users with i7 setups, such as mine.My question is: will the new NGX perform worse, similar or better than the J41 even though the same techniques were used in the modeling, texturing and overall development of the virtual cockpit?

Hi! Before the NGX comes out im thinking about upgrading my computer a little. Im no noob ;) but im surpassed by a lot of you in terms of computer literacy here on the pmdg forums so i thought this would be the right place to ask.My current spec is as follows: E8500 3.3 (OC) 4gb DDR2 RAM, MSI P45 NEO-F mobo (budget but has suited me so far) 4870 1gb, Corsair 550W PSU, 2 HD's (1tb, 1 250gb) and a SB soundcard.FPS in fsx are quite varying from up to 60 in cruise and down to 10-15 in Aerosoft EHAM with 50% ai (WOAI) all in the 747. MD11 is maybe 5fps better in the most demanding situations and the js4100 is, well i never really looked because it ran so smooth but i guess may…

I bought this product a while back, but ive never used the proper fuel manager, I tried searching for it and it turns out I dont even have it?Where can I get it again? Must I re-install it?Kind Regards.

Know it's a difficult question to answer before a final version. But what is your (PMDG) goal for framerate "friendlyness"? Your current 747 for FSX is VERY heavy on framerates - will 737NG be the same - or will you try to make it more easy on framerates?FSX is still - even on state of the art pc - very demanding - so a framerate friendly plane add-on is a must today.

Hello to all, I purchased the Md-11 back in Feb. I also have the 747.I havent really flown them much becasue I don't have any ideas on where to fly both aircraft. What routes do you guys/gals enjoy flying for both the Md-11 and the 747? Could you all give examples for each aircraft? I would love some routes with easy flying but others where the weather is usually not fun to fly in or the approaches are intersting to say the least. Thanks for the help!

Will 737ngx have a failure system more advanced than previous fs9 737? It would be cool with failure-operation like in real boeing-simulators. Like enginefailure after v1 or other realistic failure operations.Or maybe even an instructor-station running on a seperate pc? Would be so cool!

Will the new 737ngx have any cockpit builder features. Like FSUIPC compatible, hardware combatiblity - pop-out displays etc?

hi guysi want to learn how to easily asign aircraft to flight plans. i'm playing around with AI Flight planner to see if i can do it. but i have been wondering, would it be possible to lets say asign a PMDG BA 747 to a ai flight plan?cheers guys

I have a question for Ryan or someone from development team. When the decision is made to design a new product ie J41 or 747/8 what is the criteria in which the decision is based on going into the design phase then into actual delivery of the product. Is it cost, hopeful sales, or maybe the product may used as a test bed for future products, which I believe is the case of the J41.Just curious.Richard ChurchillPVT SEL

Can anyone give some feed back regarding IVAO weather? I am of the understanding that VATSIM weather above FL240 is not that good for some reason and am wondering if there are any issues with IVAO weather and PMDG products.At the moment I am using ASE with smoothing via FSUIPC.Any comments would be appreciated.Thanks Andrew Dixon

For last few weeks I had issues with JS41 AP disconnecting quite often. I calibrated the joystick numerous times, adjusted deadzones and still no improvement. But today it was a complete disaster. First during taxi brakes and rudder weren't responding all the time and then when I was on approach to Rome at 4000 feet, capturing localizer and suddenly AP disconnected and aircraft went to violent roll. I managed not to crash (by about 100 feet) and landed safely. The Flight Keeper reported max bank angle 154 max descent 18 000 fpm and max pitch 34 degrees. The reason: stupid wireless joystick. Hi, I recently purchased J41 as a download, which is activated with serial number only.I'm concerned that activation dialog didn't ask me for account details, and therefore I need you to explain me how it works and what data is transferred and stored on your servers.Could you explain us the activation process and list all the data that is transmitted to your servers please ?
