Captains-After much deliberation and a few years of work, we have finalized the release date for the PMDG 737NGX.As of this point, I am superseding any previously announced released dates with the following information: The NGX will be released when it is finished. It may release this week.. I might release in 2014.You will know when it is released because we'll tell you.If anyone would like to complain about the fact that creation of this incredibly feature rich product is taking longer than planned, please let us know and we'd be happy to provide you with an unmonitored email address to which you may air your displeasure. :(

OK, while looking at the insane preview pictures of the NGX, I noticed a few things.Concerns1:The gauge backgrounds are blue. Is there a way to change them back to black like many -700s are? And of course, blue gauges means the colors are going to be a tad different. Like the engine started on light being yellow not amber. (I've seen a preview somewhere else that had black gauges, which leads me to believe you can)2:The object (?) above the window lock/unlock handle seems quite large compared to the -700? Is that different for the -800, and -900 models?3:The fuel gauge isn't the round dial-like gauge I'm used to. Is there a way to turn it back the round one?4:Some gauges …

Hi there fellow PMDGersWe have started a thread in the Hardware Discussions section here in Avsim to test FSX on a PMDG based benchmark, very much like FSXMark07 does with the default Bombardier CRJ, but using the PMDG 744 instead.http://forum.avsim.n...75#entry1868027It's very simple to do, just two runs at 1280x1024, AA/AF on1024x768, AA/AF offAll the files and instructions can be found here (make sure you read the instructions carefully please):Benchmark FilesFinally type your system specs, your user name and test results here (don't forget to click save after you do)Spreadsheet Thanks in advance

Hey guys, Just a quickie about the NGX, will it feature moving visible wipers? Sounds silly I know, but some leave it out on their aircraft, just another little thing for added realism! Thanks Sam.

Hello together, one question i am asking myself all the time ist how ist it working to overclock your PC. If I read in serveral flightsim forum everybody is talking like overclocking a pc is the most normal thing in the world. If I ask some friends of mine who are "computer experts" everybody says "NO absolute never try overclocking your pc, you will destroy it immediately" etc...I bought my self a new system in february, but i dont get the frames on FSX I expected. Its ok but not very fluent. i also tried the last month the several tweaks and settings from the FS boards worldwide. So my question ist ther a manual how to overclock? Or tools? Or anything else how to find ou…

  8. Hi guys. I´m sorry to be yet another leecher probing to see what comes in the box regarding the NGX, but I´m really curious about this and wonder whether it´ll be made available to us. I ask because I typically fly out of SBRJ, where GOL airlines operates the Rio de Janeiro - São Paulo air bridge with 738s with the SFP regularly. It´s a pretty tight operation (and risky in many experts´ opinions), but a very fun one to fly online nonetheless. To quote from the 737 technical site:The Short Field Performance improvement package was developed in 2005/6 to allow GOL airlines to operate their 737-800s into the 1,465m (4,800ft) Santos Dumont airport. The modifications enable we…

Hey guys, I've been trying to chase down a new crash that I just started getting. I use to Alt+Enter several times a flight with no issues at all but now that I'm using the free ENBSERIES plug-in I seem to have FSX crash more often than not when going to and from windowed mode or when accessing the menus. It will either be completely black or FSX just minimizes and will not come back up, even with the aid of task manager.I have been disabling it (Shift+F12) prior to ALT+Enter but still having the issue. I am currently running a batch of tests to try and eliminate some possibilities but figured I would ask to those that have used it more than myself.I am thinking it may be…

To whom it may concern at PMDG,Unfortunately, a family member broke my computer and I have had to have it repaired, Nevertheless, my hard drive was wriiten off and I have lost all my data including my PMDG aircraft, those being the 747X, MD11 and JS41. So natrualy, I am keen to re-download those planes.Aware of the routine I went to the PMDG website, logged into my account and tried to purchse three extended download services for the above aircraft. I check my basket contents and the page confirms that the above three items are in my shopping basket, then when I click the "go to checkout" icon to confirm and pay for the purchase, a pages loads saying that my shopping bask…

I am reloading FSX and all my addons since switching to Windows 7. I have seen several times to install FSX in its own folder. The only I could figure out how to do that is let it install in the Program Files (x86) folder then move the entire folder to a folder on C: root. I tried to then install the PMDG 747 but it couldn't find the new folder, so I moved it back to the (x86) place and install the PMDG 747, PMDG MD11 and the PMDG JS41. Afterward, I moved the entire Program Files (x86) Microsoft Games folder to C:\FSX folder. Now the load manager for both the 747 and MD11 does not function. It initally comes up but then immediately window says there is a problem and…

  15. Captains-Those of you who have spent some time here know that I am a sucker for vintage airliners... Has anyone figured out how to get the glideslope indicator to appear in the Captain Sim 707 for FSX?I picked this up a month ago or so- and it makes for a great brain-break from working on the NGX... But so far it has been VFR only since I can't sort out how to get the glideslope indicator to appear- and I think it's not a good idea to fly a single pilot NDB in an airplane of this size. :( Any advice greatly appreciated.

hi guysA big factor of why I love PMDG a/c is the fully working FMC (hey I like my procedures ok? :)). anyway, would it be possible for say PMDG to sell (as a separate download) a customized or generic FMC to work with other payware a/c that don't have it? eg. the captsim B707 (yes its old, but every time I watch a 707 cockpit vid...there's always a shiny FMC there), CLS B747 classics, etc?? or is it too 'linked in' to the actual product? I know another software company sells panels .... maybe just a thought.*edit* corrected spelling - doh!

Reading posts about the amazing features on the NGX has got me drooling although I'm waiting patiently for the 777 to arrive before I abandon the MD11.Something the I've been curios about and hopefully the team can answer, will PMDG be finally adding dynamic braking to there aircraft? For example high brake temps affecting brake performance, rain, slush and ice all affecting landing distance? It seems to be a standard on a few addons now and plays a major factor in performace planning on departure and arrival.Apologies if it's been asked before and I missed it.Regards

Hi Everyone,For some reason, in the last week or so,I have only been able to get directional sound of some sort from PMDG planes. For instance; when i am looking forward in the Virtual cockpit I dont get any engines sounds at all, however, if i pan around the cockpit I will get engines sounds left and right respectivly when I move my head. this is particualry so in the Jetsream. In the MD11, I am no longer able to hear the engine spool up at start and again no engine sounds while lookng straight ahead. I did download the Windows Vista Patch and install at about the same time this started and my sound device is the RealTek HD audio Manager. This is making flyng very diffic…

Hey gang, I have posted this question in the Adobe forum a week ago and if you're familiar with their forum then you are one of only a select few because good luck finding an answer, the place is a ghost town to say the least. I have called Adobe as well and after 3 hours of waiting I was told my question would cost $80 to be discussed, not answered since they cannot guarantee that, just discussed. The fact that I paid $2,400.00 for the suite didn't mean much I guess. I also posted it in RC's forum since the project is mainly for creating a complete voice set, but guess they either don't know the answer or don't care to answer it.Anywho, since this is the general thread a…

  21. Looking forward as nothing else before to the NGX. Enjoyed RSR's latest update, thank you Robert! The enormous high level of reality, made we wonder if this also stretches to the flightmodel.More particular; will the aircraft have a different fuel burn and performance when equiped with winglets vs the model without winglets?Especialy the fuelburn during cruise is significantly lower on the WL models.

Wow. Very impressive. Great work by all at PMDG. And somehow I think the screen shots will only get more enjoyable. After flying around in the 747-400 -- and enjoying every minute of it -- can't wait to try the 737NG and discover some new airports and routes. Quick question though, what does muticrew do. And apologies for my ignorance. Thanks in advance,Bruce Campion-Smith

  24. Will there be a fully functioning EGPWS in the new PMDG 737NGX ?

I was just wondering how many people here have played or seen Just Cause 2 ?? It's basically a 3D game with no limits on movements, basically one can go deep underwater and fly miles up. ofcourse it's not a flight simulation ( yet ) but I'm impressed with the graphics capability (remember Crysis) combined with the speed of the frames. the thing I noticed was unlike MSFS which continuously processes all the tid bits all the time causing it to slow as scenery detail, JC2 apparently starts removing the details as they become insignificant for eg. if you start flying higher and higher, the finer details on the ground start to disappear and this is what happens to our vision i…
