I'm wondering how easy would it be for PMDG to convert the finished NGX to a classic and release it as a low-cost expansion pack/standalone product?Given the fact that the 737 classic and NG shares many systems and 3D model similarities, and the NGX features the Southwest-style EFIS/MAP steam gauge emulation.What do you guys think?

Hi, After takeoff with VNAV engage, when I click one of the APs, surprisingly AP dont get engaged.Can any one pls help in this case.A/C Type: B747-400, FSX version.Regards,PV

B747 for FSXI have a problem in that when I initialise the IRS alignment it counts up (yes increses)in time instead of decreasing.What could be the problemThanking you Hans

Hello fellow simmers.I have a couple of questions regarding undocking 2D panels and moving those to a second monitor, fx. FMS, radios etc. for easier access.- Is this an easy thing to do if I just connect a second monitor to my graphics card?- Will it have any impact on frames?- Can it be done with FSX in full screen mode or do I have to use windowed mode?Thank you in advance.Heino

I really trust y´all!So I´ve been a long time user of Vatsim and I fly mostly in my home country (Brazil) and the US with the occasional hop across the pond towards UK.I´ve been meaning for years to start flying more often in Europe where the traffic gets heavy and I know the air traffic services are near-perfect; however I´ve been refraining from doing so because I can´t find a place to get my flightplans from. Not sure if this should be posted here, but since my question is in regard to two different acft I thought I might start a single thread here instead of two threads in different subforums.So I´m kind of obssessive compulsive (aren´t we all) when it comes to nailing a flight plan close to real world ops and I´m a little curious about certain fuel figures. Does anyone know what the average rw airline uses for minimum landing fuel in the 737NG family and 747-400s? I know PMDG´s 747 manual states that this figure is usually 11,000 kg for international flights and 8600 kgs for domestic ones. Amazing video of crosswinds trials in Iceland. Seems to be some kind of measuring device stretched from the vertical sablilizer, I am guessing it is a crosswind componet measuring device.

I'm looking for a scenery package that will enhance ground scenery and work well with my PMDG products. I'd like more realistic geography, such as land details including mountains, lakes, etc. and general contour.I'm also interested in more realistic scenery near major airports and their respective cities. The problem is there are soooo many products out there! I tried Abacus extreme landscapes,but there has to something better than that. I'm satisfied with the weather that comes with FSX, so I'm not looking for upgrades in that area. My computer has Windows 7 64 bit and pretty powerful hardware. I would enjoy very much, becoming a BETA tester.....but I do not know the proper steps in doing so........Money does not drive me in the least ( I would do it for free).......I am very computer savoy and even more so with FSX........If ANYONE out there could point me in the right direction in how to be a PMDG BETA tester please let me know.Thanks in advance.

In anticipation of the 737NGX, I have decided to give my PC a slight upgrade.I currently have a NVIDIA GTX 285 graphics card fitted in my system, and planning to upgrade that to a GTX 480. But I am a little unsure as I keep hearing that FSX is more CPU bound, and upgrading the graphics card will not make that much of a difference.My CPU currently is an Intel i7 920 @ 2.67Ghz, and too be honest I am quite satisfied with it.

Apologies as this is not directly related to PMDG but your all a smart bunch of guy's and I need some help. I need to move my entire flightsim setup to another country, ideally I need a big crate and a good company that will move it from London to Bahrain in the middle east by air. The setup includes three large monitors, 3 computers all my flight controls and hardware and probably the heaviest part is My Subwoofers and speakers. I've looked around online but they all seem to offer small boxes or parcel delivery. Has anyone else done this before? Thanks and sorry, mods feel free to move if I have overstepped the line. Cheers

Hi, Everyone!I just had a machine crash, and had to install FSX. Everything was ok until i started installing my addons.Since then, my ground textures are brown where they should be green. For example, around EGLL, and other airports in the UK, everything looks like desert!I thought i would post on this forum, and this only seems to have happened since i installed PMDG planes. My WinXP Professional Version 2002 SP3 PC has decided not to support my Logitech USB headset mid-flight. So now no voice for ATC!In Sounds and Audio Devices Properties.Hardware tab, WinXP insists on setting my sound device to 'Lite-On LTR-12101B', type 'DVD/CD-ROM drives' (used to drive my CD-ROM drive). The 'Test hardware' button provides voice recording and playback successfully. But when I try to set my driver to 'USB Audio Device', this is not set, but XP insists on resetting to the CD-ROM driver (when I choose 'USB Audio Device', the 'Apply' button remains greyed out).When I subsequently try Squawkbox 4.Options.Voice.Calibrate Microphone, I receive the message 'There…

When participating in online simulations, such as Boston Virtual ATC, my PMDG 747 does not show any landing gear. It appears to taxing on the belly of the aircraft.I can see the gear when I choose an outside view, but other players and the controllers can't. Any ideas or solutions? Thanks.Pete Locascio

I am having new problems with system "freeze ups" when flying PMDG aircraft with REX (Real Environment Extreme), which I recently installed. The FS screen just freezes with no keyboard or mouse function. I am using FS9, PMDG 737NG with all the updates and 747-400, 747F Queen of the Skies. Window XP. It was suggested in a forum by Peter Dawson that reinstalling all of the PMDG products might correct the problem. It is quite a procedure to do the reinstall. Would you recommend it or is there another option?Thanks, Steve Canham

Maybe this has been asked before, but I couldn't find any reference to it.With the upcomming NGX, will a fuelplanner be incorporated in the package? Would be great to have something that you can tell ZFW, distance, prevailing winds, etc and get a realisticly calculated required fuel load.

For those of you who are wondering about my system that I was building....its done!!!!!!!!!!!! It runs great, I have all the sliders pushed all the way over to the right in FSX and I am averaging 30-50 fps in the J41 virtual cockpit!! I love it, and I wanted to thank everyone who helped me in the decision for the different components.
