Dear all, I used to make repaint for FS9 and lately I tried to make a repaint for b747-8i (FSX). I downloaded the paintkit from PMDG and here I started getting confused. Inside the kit there where some file for Left Fuse Right Fuse and some instructions on how to make a combined file called "Freighter_Map_748i" and "Pax_Map_748i" depenting on what type of repaint you are doing passenger or cargo. In those files there are all the repaint stuff starting from Fuse and going up to wings, elevetor event internal images.How we convert that to right fuse left fuse etc.I knew that those files are seperate files. I just updated my AIRAC to 0608 (for PMDG a/c and also FSNavigator) and on completing a flight NZWN-NZAA I found the arrival runways depicted on the 744 FMC Nav Display were not visually aligned with the simulator (or the FSNav) visuals. For example on landing at ILS Rwy 05R Auckland (NZAA) I found the visual scenery, FSNav, and the ILS were perfectly in sync and the precision approach went fine - but the 744's Map Nav Display was showing the runway (that is, the two small parallel white lines) about 20 degrees offset to the right. Glad to hear the great news on the continuing development on the NGX. We have heard almost everything which has been done to the aircraft down to the last screw by the sounds of things ! Here's my one and only question, something that's been bothering me throughtout my Flight Sim experience. **AIRCRAFT STROBES** Now first of all they are never constant and always seems to go off whenever they want as you get into the flight which is unrealistic, especially night flying ! I've had several instances lately, where the FSX simulation freezes up, and at the top of the screen I get the message "FSX Not Responding". I've let it alone for up to 30 minutes after getting the message, only to give up and shut down the program. This only happens when I use the PMDG 747-400 or 747-8. It usually occurs on long haul flights,after about 30 minutes or so, but some flights aren't affected at all. I'm using Windows 7 64 bit, a Quad core processor, an Nvidia 8800 GT video card, and have 4 gigs of memory. pmdg, since a load of airlines have large numbers of the 737, I.E Ryanair or southwest, could a feature be made for the registraion of the plane to change on each selection of the aircaft, rather than having 400 southwest repaints :)cheers

Guys,After reading all the updates from the team on the level of detail that they are building into the internals of this amazing release, I was wondering if anyone out there had or was planning on doing a checklist of some sort that would exercise the various features, like the brake temps and hydraulic pressure models etc etc? I'm not sure if this is the right place to come to, however it is the only place that i know that i can get some advice.Recently, whenever i attempt to start my PC (the one i use for FSX) It will just beep 8-10 times and then the fans will just keep running, nothing on the monitor or anything. Please, can someone tell me an easy way to solve the problem, because i am very frustrated and disappointed mainly because i was looking forward sooooo much to buying and fly the NGX. Hi,after a flight with PMDG's 747 and Jeroen Hoppenbrouwers amazing ACARS environment I was just wondering if the upcoming Aircrafts, especially the B777, will have ACARS support integrated. I would really like to see a PMDG quality CPDLC or ADS-C application. What aircraft would be better than the B777 and it's implementation of FANS-1. The environment provided by Mr Hoppenbrouwers is quite sophisticated it handles the complicated stuff like e.g. data authority for CPDLC quite realistic. Hello everyone.I managed to have a go in a 738 Level D sim today at CTC training centre in Nursling, Southampton. It was my first experience in a simulator of this fidelity and it was the most intense experience of my life so far. I have taken a few pics to share with you, but i'm sorry about the blurryness, they were taken on a phone as we did not have a proper camera with us (didnt think they would allow pictures!). I just recently bought a new computer. I have the PMDG 737NG and 800/900, as well as the PMDG 747 Queen of the skies and the cargo version. I made copies of all the installation files. I used a program called PC Mover to move all my files from my old computer to my new. However, the PMDG 737 doesn't seem to be working right. Sometimes, I cannot make the mouse click switches, it will not allow me to press the ALT button to get the task bar, etc. I tried reinstalling the 737's, with no better result. Should I uninstall all of the PMDG products, then reinstall, starting with the 737NG, then the 800/900 and finally the 747? What should I do? Thanks.

Hi everyone! I was having some serious control problems in cruise with the FS9 747-400. The plane could not hold altitude nor airspeed even at max throttle, and the autopilot was going haywire. By haywire, I mean the MCP speed was rapidly changing itself, various lights on the MCP were flashing, and basically the autopilot was useless. The pitch attitude was very high, which initially led me to believe the load/balance settings has somehow been corrupted in flight. However, the CDU indicated a CG % well within range every time. Hi everyone, I don't know if this topic has already been discussed. Pardon me if it has. I am curious about the 737 variants that would be available on the ngx. As we all know the 737 model is quite diverse in terms of variants even when one considers just the next gen models. Apart from the standard-600 to -900 we have the ERs, -700c and the BBJ 1 and 2. ( plus the wedgetail and P-8 poseidon if we'r considering military variants). Which ones can we expect on the NGX? Thanks.

Hi guys,I am curious as to how well you have modeled the braking on the NG. I recall Aerosoft had released a product which would simulate a more "realistic" braking of the selected aircraft. I am aware that the FS platform is pretty much way off when it comes to surface friction for different runway/taxiway conditions. Have you guys managed to do some "out of the box" programming to render a more realistic braking scenario ?Regards,Dinshaw Parakh.

I know this isn't the right forum, bur does anyone know a good tutorial for EZCA to st it up so it is working.I can't get it working properly. This thread is directed to the staff at PMDG regarding the NGXMy excitement about this plane is beyond words (take your time), but I have 1 question.1). On the 737 yoke there are three numbers. My first question regarding this, is what do they mean?? Not being 100% about this its my understanding that they are for the current flight number, and the second question is will I be able to input what ever number I want into them. I apologies if this has already been touched apon or asked, but with the hundreds of pages regarding the NGX its hard to catch everything. Thanks for your time.

Quick question guy's, I posted a little while back regarding moving my entire sim setup to Bahrain, well I'm out here now all the evrything arrived and works ok except my main flightsim machine (I carried the hard drive's in my hand luggage) So I took it the PC store hear and the guy says I need a new motherboard, wont that mean I have to re-register all my products? I didn't buy that extended download thing for the MD11 :(

Help! I need to reinstall my 747X but it will not validate despite all efforts..... can't contact PMDG support the user/password and e-mail is said not to be on the server!!!My use/password is recognized if I enter it on the top right - I can get into where all my orders are recorded etc., it just won't recognize it on the main support page login...So I am assuming wherever the user/password resides it is the same place the validation is looking - if it won't recognize it on the support login likely not recognizing it on the validation attempts...Help from a PMDG analyst support person would be appreciated!Lost in server land - I do exist :-)Cloudhopper
