Dear PMDG,A few big questions here1:Will the fire detection/extinguising system work? i.e. - if a fire occurs, the wanring light goes off, fire light goes on, then I pull the handle and it shuts down and puts out the fire2:Will the GPWS test mode work?3:Will the icing effects work? i.e. if the icing/air conditioning is set wrong - windows freeze up?4:Will the stall and overspeed tests work?5:Will the seperate types of lighting work? i.e - backlight, panel lights, dome lights, and if so will they be redish like the real one when set that way?6:Will turning the brightness all the way down on the main gauges make the gauge backgrounds black? If not, is there a "PMDG Colors" …

A very quick post to ask a simple question i hope.is there a way to speed up the [CTRL/SHIFT/ENTER/BACKSPACE] moving speed??For example for the pmdg 747 i move quite a lot backwards, and it takes for ever, snails pace.~Please can you tell me what value i need to change in config files to speed this manouver upAll the best and thanksAlex

On the later Boeing 737 they have an lnav and vnav deviation marker on the Primary Flight Display. Will the 737NGX have that?And maybe also RNP and ANP numbers on the ND?See here:

Hello everyone. Last year I had a custom build my pc for my sim. I havent made the Jump to FSX like I intended to last year. Well, now with the NGX coming online soon I'm looking into spending a little bit of cash and purchase a new graphic card. With my rig now FS9 runs like a beauty. I get between 30 and 40 FPS with payware AC and payware scenery. I know it's gonna be tough but I would like something close to that on FSX. SO this is what i have now. Just recieved my Chief Pilots Set it is outstanding in every regard, no need to mention the content because others have. Its unbelievable thats all i need to say. Going to leave the forum for a while and bury my head into all this info rather than check here hourly/daily for the software release.The tracking system by Fedex was excellent, tracked it all the way from origin/Memphis/Honolulu/Sydney/Melbourne (Australia). Hi guys,My high-end Nvidia graphics card burnt out, and I need to replace it. Here's the thing: Considering that now I only use FSX, and FSX is not very GPU intensive, could I skip paying 300 bucks for a GPU, and get a lower end model? I'd get a reliable brand, but just not such a great card. Would it be too absurd if I just replaced it with a much less expensive 9500 GT with 512 MBs? I know this is a big step down, but any idea how bad it'd be?

Hello.Well as others I goit my manual set so I would let a quick note as I believe a lot has already been said by others about these manuals. On my side it is the first set of manuals I ever purchase, and I was quite amazed at how much there is. So obviously the main part is the boeing stuffs which is really the core of the airplanes informations and it was a little funny to also see in all the bulletin of boeing that it really range from very important troubles, to very trivial ones (like not puting plugs on the deck while using the hand mic). Hey guys. I have a some questions regarding the up and coming 737NGX. I absolutely cannot wait until it comes out although I'm sure my girlfriend can, lol. My question is regarding my computer specs. I feel like I have decent hardware but would like to know if my current specs will be able to run the new NGX with 20+ fps. If the 737 NGX is going to be released soon, then the -8 is after right? I wouldn't doubt that they're making uhmm.. maybe a 767-400 after :( or even a 787? I would have to say that those would be my top picks, just because the other 787 "Dreamliner," that i've seen, sucks! Surely after though would HAVE to be the Bae146 I mean just look at the thing!It's like a mini 747! Hello Captains!I know it is not really a pmdg issue, but in indirect way it is. (because i only fly with the Queen until ngx comes)I started to use *******'s fsx.cfg tweaks and it requires an external fps limiter. So i downloaded Fps Limiter 0.2. Very good program, but i could not make it run in directX 10 preview mode, only in DirectX9My question would be that can i use this limiter and if yes how in directX10 mode?If not can someone recommend a good external frame limiter which works in directX10 mode?Any help would be appreciatedLaszlo Meszaros

Dear 737NGX-waiters,Like everybody here, it is hard to wait for the release of the PMDG 737NGX. I really like it to see the older pictures back token from the 737NGX. But to make it a bit easier, I put all screenshots in one image. The official size of the image is currently 1680 x 1050. - Yea, I know: I am not really good in Photoshop but good enough to make something fun like this. Alright. After a long day of running around, and spending a small amount of time tracking my package down (Fed Ex loaded it onto the wrong truck) it came in the mail. I took some photographs of the books together, and will do a general overview. Me going farther than that depends on permission from Robert or Ryan as I do not want to step on what they have going on here. After a quick read through though on the books. There is A LOT of information to be gained about the product, and the direction they have gone with it. Looking at the NGX set compared to my MD-11X set it makes them look puny. I am new at the forums here so please bare with me, I own (and love) the PMDG 747-400 Queen of the Skies as well as (among other things) an MCP (hardware) from Opencockpits.com. Whenever I use my mcp with the 747 I can turn knobs on the mcp and the airplane in fsx will respond accordingly; however, the mcp displays all zeros for all the screens regardless of what I am setting (in other words, the mcp headings and altitudes, etc in fsx change when I move the knobs, but there is no feedback from fsx to my mcp, so therefore it shows all zeros no matter what). This evening I have been in and out of FSX a few times with no problems. Then as I was about to do one little quick flight, I launched FSX at the airport I wanted but forgot to select the plane, which in this case was the J41. So, I opened the drop down menu to select a/c and when I clicked on the J41 my screen turned black and nothing happened. I was able to press the ESC key and get the window to pop up which gives you the option to continue flight or exit. I chose to exit and when the main FSX menu came back up I had a small window open that said that FSX needed to be activated.
