Hi! I bought a new computer this fall and have had mostly good performance with it. With the help of some of you guys here on the avsim forums and also following advice on simforums i bought a i7 950 (same price in my country as the i7 930 at that time) a Noctua NH-D14 heatsink/cpu cooler, an Asus P6TD Deluxe motherboard, mushkin redline 1600 Mhz DDR3 (6-8-6-24, 2gb x 3) and a EVGA gtx 480. Performance compared to my older Core 2 Duo e8500 with HD4870 was alot better, especially in stability and smoothness. A week ago i OC'ed my processor to 4ghz and after stresstesting and stability checking im quite confident it is a stable OC. I still have some minor problems though: E…

Good day,I was wondering if there are plans in the work for more AC such as the B1900? Perhaps a regional jet? I've got the 737, 747 and 1900. It is nice to have a less complex plane in which you can "kick the tires and light the fires" and be flying in a matter of minutes. Thanks for the great work!Gary

Hi All, First of all, i want to apologize for accidentally starting this thread in the wrong forum. I'm looking to upgrade my CPU and i've got my eye on the intel core i7 950 ( 3.08GHZ quad core if i recall correctly). I have been reviewing the forums for a while now and I learnt among other things that the processor is the single most important factor as far as framerates on FSX are concerned. I also noticed that much emphasis is placed on overclocking intel i7 processors to reap out maximum performance from FSX. I ve been having a problem with the MD11 for FSX..Its about the movement inside the VC. I was content staying with FS9 until I learned about the NGX and 777 coming out from PMDG so I'm stepping over. I got my new Alienware machine yesterday, a nice Area 51 machine, unfortunately it arrived "deader than a door knob" it won't turn on, so I'm waiting for a replacement machine. In FS9 I was using Active Sky 6.5 for weather generation along with REX for textures, is this still the best combo for FSX? Thnx!!!Richard

Has anybody managed to retrofit the 747 with RealityXP's weather radar in 2D panel and VC? Strangely enough there is noch such cfg file to be found under user retrofits on Reality's website.Roland

Are there are any iMac users here, that run FSX + PMDG aircraft (747 or MD-11 in particular).I am curious to know what your frame rates are like with these aircraft. A lot of my development work is done on macs, and I am in the position of buying an iMac (i5 3.6ghz, Radeon HD 5750, 4GB) quite soon.FSX is probably the only reason why I am still holding back, otherwise I would have made the switch. The photos and the video of the HUG were great but would be nice to a take off down the runway and climbing out to a couple of thousand feet. I was wondering when the printed manuals for the J41 were going to be released? I recall in the topic about the NGX that the J41 were going to be released a few days after that. If I missed a post/topic about the dates, I apologize, but like many, I'm eagerly awaiting the release of these manuals.

PMDG, is there anychance of having a 30% (for example) sale this holiday season? Im not saying your products are overpriced, but im just a poor little student, very keen to pick up your JS41, but right now don't have the sufficent $ for it.
