I was thinking about something I bought for Flight Sim 98 the other day, and then it occurred to me..... it was published by PMDG!!! When i was younger, I convinced my Dad to make his first online purchase ever (it was before i was old enough for a credit card). It was a Boeing 757 .air file and manual for FS98. I used it with a freeware Air 2000 757 from Avsim combined with Eric Ernst's 767 panel. What a long way PMDG has come (and the panel - it becamse PIC, then Level-D!)It made me wonder - are any of you PMDG folk still the very same folk that were behind that addon? Did anyone else ever buy a product from that range?CheersRob

Captains!We are in the home stretch now!I am waiting upon the validation of a fix from Rich Harvey.... We have a problem with FLY!II incorrectly swapping the day/night models during transition between day/night. Hi there.I have been using MCE (multi crew environment) for almost a year without a problem. Last night I fired up FSX and all of a sudden was presented with a dll error, in this case fsinsider.dll which is part of the MCE add on. Fsx asks if I want to run the app or not and if I click no the game loads ok but MCE is unusable. If I click Yes, Fsx crashes to desktop instantaneously.I contacted support but even though they were quick to respond the haven't provide me with a helpful advice. I tried uninstalling mce, deleting the folder and manually deleting the dll in the fsx folder; then restarting and going trough the installation process again to no avail. I also checked…

I have found the NGX hard to wait for,, It's going to be ridiculously hard to wait for the 777 :(,, I am hoping PMDG get the forward fuselage right, becuase i think it is easy to get wrong any way enjoy :)

hi i have a nividia 250gts card installed to run fsx, i noticed the price of the 460gtx has dropped in price and was wondering if i would see a difference in running fsx with this card, my cpu is phenom 2 965 3.4ghz with 6g ddr. any advice please. thanks, jim mcphertson

I have solved the 737NGX conundrum.I have just bought the PMDG MD11 instead!By the time i've got my head around the MD11 and competent to fly online, the 737NGX should be available for me to get my grubby hands on.Win - win all round...... I think

Looking through the NGX manuals, I see Integrated Approach Navigation (IAN) approaches mentioned quite a bit. I'm still not too sure what these are exactly but they sound like GPS approaches. Are these basically WAAS approaches for the airlines?

HiI recently updated the airac cycle for the PMDG MD11 Aircraft. Since then the aircraft will not load. I load a flight with the default cessna in the 2d panel then switch to one of the MD11 aircrafts and get the message about fs freezing whilst the airac cyle is loaded. But it never loads the airac and just freezes fs. Is there anyway to revert to the original airac that came with the aircraft or do I need to uninstall then reinstall the aircraft?Many Thanks Jason

Hi,I'm sure that the upcoming 737NGX will have the capability to simulate various kinds of failures. However, I have some concerns related to the failure rate that can be set. According to previous experience, for PMDG products such as 744X, the lowest rate of failure can be set is 1 out of 10 hours. Which can be good for someone who expects a significant chance of failure during his/her flight. But this rate is far too high compare to that in the reality especially for some major failures such as engine flame-out.Personally, I prefer flying without a lot of failures but still be prepared for something that can happen. So, I hope in the upcoming PMDG products such as 737N…

FSX is installed on my best and fastest computer. As I did not want to get into internet-related security-problems with it, it is also the computer, which is NOT connected to the internet. My internet-PC stands twenty centimeters left of my FSX-computer. Yet I could not buy the PMDG MD-11 via internet-download as PMDG chose not to program a software for its shop which enables the user to transfer the licence from an internet-connected PC to a non-internet-connected PC (other software companies have done this for years now). So...will I be able to actually buy the FSX-737 when it is released or will PMDG again prevent customers like me from buying it? As far as I have seen…
