PMDG General Forum

I was finishing the FCOM v2 and was looking over the tailskid. Seeing as it has pretty sizable wear indicators on both the skirt and shoe, does this mean that tailstrikes are common on these aircraft? It looks as if providing it was more of a slight bump and not a full on whack on the pavement, no inspection is needed. In the DA40 that I fly, one tailstrike, no matter how light and the thing has to be grounded until a full inspection of the tail can be done.

Does anyone know of a system for triggering failures besides the system included in whatever add-ons are being used? I'm looking for a way to trigger failures at a lower probability than 1/10 in the MD-11, as well as trigger random failures in a couple aircraft I have that use the default system.

Hello, PMDG - Hello, Captains:I know I am in the wrong forum, but any other attempts I tried were futile.I have a registered account, with e-mail and password (both working) in the PMDG home page. However, when trying the Product Support tab, I am not recognized as a subscriber(?). They say my e-mail is not registered and there's no way to communicate if one does not have a valid e-mail - a hellish loop...My problem is rather simple: my PC had a disk crash and I lost the PMDG airplanes I had: the 737/600 to 900, and the 747-400.Is there a way to get a new download, or do I have to re-puchase them all?I'm very short of money, living on a pension, and one of my few pleasure…

Hei! I'm really wondering if NGX will have a failure system which will be more realistic then the one in fsx? So that aircraft will respond to any failure the way it should and that we actually have to do something from the cockpit to fix it and not simply turn the failure off again and think of it as "fixed"! :) If yes, could you give us a little heads-up on what's covered and how realistic it will be? :)"For disscusion" What you guys think would be cool to have? PMDG,I just recently discovered that some 737's have electrical stairs that are stored below the front left door that can be automaticly deployed, and I was wondering, will the NGX feature this? It seems like that was a good idea when stairs or a jetway arn't avalible...Thanks, Spencer Hayes

Throughout a flight, I like to ALT + Tab frequently so I can do other things while flying. I also change settings around during flight as well by using the menu bar to access system settings, etc. Unfortunately, very often, when I go back into the game, there is no more picture and just sound is left. It's very strange because I can see my mouse cursor change when I go over a button or knob that I can't see. Also, the sound changes when I click F11 to go into external view but there is still no picture. I have the latest drivers and am running an i7 2600K @ 4.5 GHZ, GTX 570, 8 GB of RAM, etc. I do use ENB Series and of course the MD-11. I haven't seen if the problem occu…

Dear PMDG,Don't want to wast your time but I ordered the NGX captain set of manuals on Fedex Saver(three day air...). Anyway, I got an e-mail saying that I would get another e-mail that would have a traking number... I didn't and if this box has any hope of getting to my house it would have had to have left earlier.... Also, Fedex reports that the snow has a major factor with shipping... Mainly, I'm asking for a tracking number...I'm not in any major hurry but I do want to get to reading, it is supposed to come on Friday....:( Order number is 150973. Thanks,Spencer Hayes

So if there already is one and I missed it I am sorry for double posting.Do you guys plan on doing military variants of the NGX such as the Poseidon, the Wedgetail, and the C-40. Good evening all.One thing that is always amazingly prominent to me when flying on a 737 is the sound of the engines spooling up. As an example watch this video and fast forward to 5.20, and when the engines spool up to increase taxi speed that amazing "whoosh" sound can be heard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8Oa2wE4_yMIf I recall correctly the sound is heard when the engines spool up to a certain percentage, but when the engines stabalize at that percentage the sound dissipates.Can anyone tell me what it is and what causes this as I've never experienced it on any other aircraft? Before releasing, will we get a few days notice before? If I can, for my va, I'm going to request AMX flight from KDFW-MMUN and reversed. That is a flight I have flown on far too much. :D I am 100% gonna buy the NGX, but if you guys are still planning on the T7, then I WILL buy that aswell.

For some reason PMDG does not now recognize my email address and yet I have bought products with it.Also,my PMDG 747 400/800 for FSX are blanking out the CRT's don't know if some MS update has caused this or not.Any ideas?RegardsRon

Will the information on the HUD,still have clarity and be the correct resolution/size,when using triplehead2go(3840x1024)...also if one adjusts their eye-point backwards (ie,move their cockpit seat rearwards) is the information still readable?

Hi, I sent an email to get new validations for my MD11 because of a brand new FSX installation. This was last saturday, I know week end is used to rest by the most of us so I have waited until now to write overhere. I do not know if this is a problem of mails not arriving or just PMDG is busy.Y would like to confirm this in case my mail server is not doing its work properly.Regards

Hi to all at the PMDG team.Would it be possible for you to give us the heads up on the minimum computer system details that will be required to run the NGX software. I have tried to find previous threads on this topic but with no luck.Apologies if I have repeated a similar question but having just had a system crash with Windows Vista I am upgrading to W7 and it got me thinking.Gary
