PMDG General Forum

I do not have the "Show flying tips" box checked in the options (fs9) but continue to get the fuel critically low message. Does anyone know how to eliminate this?I remember having this problem when I installed the 737NG moons ago but cannot remember the exact solution (nor has a search of various forums). I do faintly recall the solution being something about deleting a file (.ini? something simliar) and restarting FS to re-build the file and recognize the options I've set. Anyone familiar or have this problem/solutions. Thank you in advance.cheersTrevor

So my computer just fried and my motherboard burnt and is nothing now. I was able to save the Graphics Card and Hard Drive but everything else pretty much burnt up. Hi Guys,Like most people here I am preparing myself for the NGX coming soon. I have a spare television; a full HD sharp aquos 42 inch LCD only 2 years old and has HDMI outputs. I was thinking i might be able to set it up for the display for my new PC and the NGX instead of regular type monitors. Hello everyone, I am aware of all the posts, queries and answers relevant to the 737ngx, however, in the distant past, if my memory serves me right, The Captain said that there were three developments ongoing with different developers i.e. The 737, Dash8 and the 777. I know the 737ngx is probably the priority, but would it be possible for a wee update on the other two as I feel we have reached saturation point on the 737ngx progress. At least it would relieve some of the tension we are experiencing waiting for the 737ngx. I would like to emphasise that there is no criticism intended in this query. richard welsh.

Perfection takes time, someone will say it's not possible, and perfection takes forever.Any idea when feature lock will take place? Hi guys,Everyone knows that for large aircrafts, there is a specific hand wheel to steer the nose gear of the airplane. It can turn the nose gear into much larger angles than what the rudder pedal can do. Pilots can also do the rudder test whiling texing by holding the steering wheel. I wonder in previous PMDG products or in upcoming NGX, is that possible to assign a control axis to nosewheel steering wheel?Thanks,Howie Wong

Hello allBeen waiting for the 737NGX but ... well, let's not get started on that.So... I thought , I need a good big airplane (I don't have one for FSX) . A few months ago I did buy a certain airliner by a certain certain company that shall remain nameless (it wasn't PMDG BTW) and let's just say that's $50 bucks I've blown.Which brings us to the topic at hand.Which aircraft do you find has better framerates? The JS4100 or the MD11 (both the PMDG versions). Hello CaptainsI was flying online yesterday and an idea came.While i was using COM1 to communicate with a control center i wanted to use COM2 to get ATIS information.Is it possible with squawkbox and pmdg 744x to hear COM1 and COM2 at the same time?I could only manage getting atis by switching freq on COM1 but in this case i lost connection with the center for that time.In real life i simple push com2 as well and can hear both at the same time.Thanks for any helpLaszlo Meszaros

Hi,I am working on a problem with some commercial scenery for FSX that stopped working and it seems that the issue could be with Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable. I notice that I also have version 2008 installed and I am not sure which one of the two new software’s (PMDG MD-11 and REX2) I recently installed requires this. Can you tell me if PMDG software actually use the Visual C++ redistributable? I have the 747-400 & 8I extended package and the MD-11 installed, best software on the market, I am looking forward to the release of the FSX 737 NGX version.

Hi Gents, maybe a stupid questions but I am observing that I have no touch down effects in winter terms and in summer terms I can see the typically smoke effect when I am landing....Is this normal in FSX ? Or you can also see the touchdown smoke in winter ? Regards

Does anyone know of an upcoming Flight Sim convention in the US? I'd love to see the latest software and equipment displayed as well as the a demo of 737NG. I remember one at Denver where PDMG and others wergreat speakers and hardware (yokes/pedals etc) on display.

Hello everyone. i have a question about fs build and the pmdg MD11plane. When i make a fp (with autogenerate) it makes the plan and i can export it to pmdg that is no problem.But i was wondering why i can't fly the same way as in the tutorial.I really want to learn how to fly with the FMC and in the tutorial flight it al worked great, but with the plans build in fsbuild it doesn't work the way it was in the tutorial. Maybe you could have a look at the tutorial i mean on page 8/9 (there you see what i mean and what i want, EGLL is first in the fp and not a runway) and on page 26. as you see there is no line (saying F-PL-DISCONTINUITY)coming after everything is put in the f…

Hello Captains.I would like to share with you my first flight experience on vatsim.I chose the flight from EDDF to LHBP with the Queen.The reason why i chose this route because i had full atc coverage from Munchen ground to Budapest ground.First of all it was a fantastic experience to fly with live atc, to get instruction from living people. it was really "as real as it gets." The Controllers were very kind and showed big tolerance towards me. ok, mods, feel free to move me to the hw forum but let me try this here first for some time. my regular fsx computer does not start anymore. some blue screens first, then fancy bios messages and now few reactions. it starts, all fans are blowing full power but nothing else. checked HDDs, all OK. Checked graphics by replacing my GTX260 with a old 8800, no change. So I guess it must be mobo, cpu and/or memory.
