Hi! I know this is not the right place for this question. I posted it at AVSIM's specific FSX forum, but things are very slow there and there are some topics that are waiting since November or even before and got no answer AT ALL. And it is not only one.I'm not a frequent user of FSX multiplayer, but 99% of the times I try to log into my account, I get the following message:"You have been disconnected from GameSpy. You may have logged in on another computer." Just like that.I have FSX for almost 2 years now and since the beggining I get this message. I only use FSX in one computer and no one knows my account email or password since I almost don't use it. I also have 3 dif…

Hello, Whenever there's a real life emergencey in my country, I try to re-create that event in FSX. This time, a flight from Umeå in the north of Sweden to Gothenburg in the south lost cabin presure at an altitude of aprox 33,000 ft. The crew made an succesful emergencey decent from 33,000 ft to 10,000 ft in about 2 min and 30 seconds. I have tried to re-create this in FSX with the PMDG MD-11 but have not managed to get within the 2 mins and 30 seconds limit. So my question is; what's the standard procedure when loosing cabin pressure at that altitude, how do I manage to get the aircraft to 10,000 ft or below before the passengers black out? Thanks for any advise. Best r…

Hey everyone! I got my Captain Manuals set last week and have been reading through the first few chapters of FCOM 2 and taken a sneak peak at the FCTM (couldn't resist). What im wondering is: Whats the best way to read and learn the manuals? Should you start with the FCOM 1 or 2, or read the FCTM first? Should you just scan through the two Operations manuals and then use the procedures sections in while familiarizing yourself with the aricraft, or keep notes of everything like youre studying for a test?If i were to do a type rating for the 737 NG, what would i be expected to memorize? For example do you need to know the full limitations and supplementary procedures by mem…

Quick question for you Boeing experts out there. When the FMC calculates and displays the optimal altitude in the VNAV or Cruise page of the FMC, does it take the entire route length into mind? The reason I ask is that in some simulations for FS9/FSX, the optimal altitude shows something like FL410 on a route of a couple of hundred miles. With this in mind, getting up to FL410 would probably be possible if there were no restrictions by ATC, but then the distance between TOC and TOD would be so minimal it wouldn't seem worth it. I'm not sure on the economical side of it....?Would be good to hear an "official" verdict! :(

I have a problem with the appearance of PMDG forums. For the last week or so they lost their regular format and posts appear "loose" with different and larger fonts and many other strange characters. Very difficult to read.Do any others have the same problem? Thanks,Christos

Ryan,I finally got rid of my AMD chip and got an I7 875K with the unlocked multiplier running on an Intel DP55KG Board. The unlocked multi (don't have to mess with voltages) is nice but it's only unlocked with turbo boost on. Right now I'm running stable on stock voltages with the Multi set to x29 at 3.9 GHz at 57C under load on air. I turned off all of the power saving features so that it stays at 3.9GHz all of the time, but I was wondering if I set all of the multipliers evenly for each core (as I have it now) will Turbo Boost throttling cause an issue in FSX if I turn the power saving features back on?This thing is eating FSX for breakfast.

Hello PMDG Team,I have written some LUA Scripts in the past, maybe you know about some of them.Doubtless LUA is, (better the ability to assign LUA Variables with FSUIPC is), one of the best tools for FS especially for users with some additional hardware.I think you be aware of that.To write such a LUA script is really hard work (you know that, of course)One part of the hard work is to fiddle out the countless LUA variables. This would be now my question:I will purchase the NGX at the very first day (if I'm not in holiday :( ) and will start a LUA script for my hardware.Could you consider to collect the LUAs and make them public (or give them to me - as you decide) short af…

First of all, I don't know if this is rude or insulting in any way or form, So if it is, I'm apologizing now, And then you can delete the topic.http://www.randazzofornevada.com/I never knew how much of an important man you were,“In the past, the office of Lieutenant Governor has been filled by lawyers, doctors, or career politicians looking to burnish their credentials before moving on to another office. Unlike them, I’m here to make the tough decisions and fix our economy. I would appreciate your support.”Why don't we help ?And lastly, what is your daily job, Is it indeed the airline career ?Regards,Ross Thomson.

Happy new year everybody.I've been thinking of buying a registered version of FSUIPC4. I read the description at FSUIPC page at simMarket but I'm not sure if should I invest my money in it. My budget is very tight right now, so I don't want to spend money with something useless. The only add-on I have so far is FSLabs Concorde X, but I intend to buy other add-ons as well (NGX is the next on my wishlist!).Summarizing, what are the advantages and disadvantages of this software? Thanks in advance.

In my bordem whilst waiting for NGX, JS41 patch, 777, new B747 DH8D i was wandering around the net and stumbled across some X-Plane stuff.... Seems there a version 10 on its way(although they got the PMDG bug of delaying releases ;)I've looked at X-plane before, although never installed or used it, people rave about the flight model used in it over FSX, but although eye candy isnt always my number one priority when flying, I simply couldnt stand how poor looking X-plane looked compared to a nicely speced up FSX.However having seen this....X-Plane at NightGlobal Lightingand although this video is X-plane 9 - the aircraft are xplane 10...take a look at the lighting effects …

When conducting a full alignment of IRU's when an aircraft is on Battery /Ext Pwr (no engine driven power) - can you start the APU?I know the aircraft has to be 'dead still' during alingment cycle and was wondering if starting the APU creates any vibrations etc that would hinder/interfere with the IRU alignment?Anyone please clarify.

Hi guys,This one's just for the fella's at PMDG. My computer has died - the HDD has kicked the proverbial bucket and gone to that great PC in the sky. I have ordered a new computer from Dell, which should arrive in a couple of weeks. Until then, I have no flight sim (sob, sob)! Given that I will have a brand new computer and don't have backups of my downloaded products, could I please request that my account be reset or whatever is required so I can simply re-download and install my products on my new computer? It would really save me a lot of stress.Given these recent events and the fact I will have a new and very powerful computer (think i-7 processor, 12Gb RAM and 1Gb …

Happy New Year to all.I hope this is the right place to do this. I have the JS4100 (put another tick in the "its great box') but can anyone tell me what the set of levers is in front of the Condition levers. I have noted that they move with them but they don't make sense unless, perhaps, they are connected with the Reverse Thrust Operation sequence. I use Saitek yolk and Pedals, Track IR4, Reg v FSUIPC and ORBX Scenery for eye candy. I am now on a vertical learning curve with all this but its fun. Tom Holloway.
