PMDG General Forum

Most of the topics discussed so far regarding the upcoming NGX center around the VC, and related systems of the NG, but I'm curious if the same amount of detail will be inherent in the upcoming release for the flight dynamics of the aircraft or will there be limitations imposed by FSX? In other words how true will the aircraft realistically perform to the inputs of the yoke, rudder & throttles as opposed to the real thing.Jack Noulet

Will the manual be pretty much the same as the FS9 version? Or completely different. I had FS9 version printed in color and bound. I'd hate to toss it (dont have FS9 anymore and no 737) Also will the manual be released ahead of the actual plane? I think that was done before. It give us time to print and study it. I haven't flown the 737 for 2-3 years now as I upgraded to FSX long ago.Paul Gugliotta

In preparation for the upcoming 737NGX, after viewing those beautiful VC previews, I thought perhaps it is finally time to make the change. We are at a level now where the quality of the VC is as good or perhaps even better than any static 2D image.I've always been a big fan of 2D panels, but from now on I will use the VC. I done a few test flights in the 747 and MD-11, and I have to say, it is definitely a much more immersive experience.So yay another VC user :-)

Hello.I'm brand new and I do not own any of PMDG's products, but I asure I'm badly concidering a purchase of the 737NGX when it's released. I'm just wondering what is it really? I've caught up that it is an ultrarealistic edition of Boeing 737 and something that would light up my simulator drastically. I'm flying for Virtual Norwegian which flies 733 and 738. Is this some sort of package including -700,-800,-900? Or is it one particular aircraft type called 737NG(X)? I need a replacement for the default 737-800 which is accepted as a 737-800 in ACars. Will this product [737NGX] satisfy my needs?Thanks a lot for answering :)

Hi guys,There has been plenty threads and discussion about the 737 and the 777,i havent found a true topic on the dash 8..We have been told there are two teams working at the same time, one on the dash and one on the ngx...Now,If the dash 8 is still going ahead with release after ngx, how long after.In theory [maybe pmdg will even answer] is the dash 8 nearly finished?The ngx has over shadowed the demand for screenshots etc so pmdg have had the "bliss?" that no one has asked for progress reports or screenshots.May I now?What is the progress on the dash from "team B" so to speak.. Hi guys!I do 99% of my flying online on the IVAO network and for instance when flying the J41 and connecting to IVAO I must choose what livery I want to be seen in by others from the liveries available in the MTL (Multiplayer Traffic Library) list. When I don't find any colors I want in there (for the J41 for example there are only 3 liveries to choose from if I remember this correctly) it would be great if I could choose PMDG colors not to mention it would be great publicity for PMDG! Not sure though if it's allowed by IVAO to have commercial FS addon companies's liveries in the MTL library but if they would allow this for all FS addon companies it would be up to each an…

Hi guys, I just came across an old email and once (or twice) a while back had commented on just creating a simple bat file to start everything up you want started when you're ready to go simming. I do this often and it is nice convenient thing to have. It also cuts all your FS(X) shorcuts down to one with some exceptions.What mine does:I smoke cigerettes and only smoke outside. When I return I like to have everything loaded and waiting for me without needing to wait for one program to start or wait for another to get to a certain point before I launch the next. I am unable to sign on to the customer support forum. The activation emails that PMDG sends to me to activate my registration do not arrive. My main problem is that I have purchased a redownload for my 747 400X (resetting FSX on a new computer) but can not get any instructions/emails on how to now redownload the file. I read somewhere on the forum that you have to send a request through the customer support portal to initiate this process but of course I can't register to the system because I am not receiving the sign on emails. Hey PMDG and all. To keep it short can you please consider making previous or future planes multicrew capable. And to work as flawlessly as possible. I mean even just a program that could once connected work for all your planes. It would revolutionalise the virtual pilot world if it was as simple and realiable as Im sure many hope. I've downloaded and installed the FS Passengers demo and from what I've seen it looks like a fun addition to my flying experience - online and offline. Hello guys, I love to spam (in a good way of course) a product that I think is done well and one that I know others will enjoy. I have done this with PMDG countless times and trust me when I say, this is not the only forum that I tend to boast about certain products. I currently have FSX SP2 installed, but now I have bought acceleration. However when trying to install it It asks me to uninstall SP2. If I do this from control panel will I have to reinstall all of my addons? Or can I just uninstall sp2 then install acceleration and everything will work normally?ThanksJames Crowther

Just curious to know if the 737 ngx will work with the Go Flight MCPPRO airliner autopilot hardware....I post something about a while back....so sorry for repeating ( it was a many months back )It works great with the 737pic so it'll be a shame to lose this functional sim device.

Hi all, for your info only, I did a flight into KDFW the other night and I required the BOWIE9 STAR for W/point PNH (Panhandle). This STAR is not in the PMDG FMC, so I informed Navigraph, who agreed and are investigating. Hope this helps. richard welsh.
