On airport charts in Europe RW lengths and elevations are given in meters. I suppose you must convert to feet (multiply by 3) to enter in the HUD ? Or is there a way to set up the HUD to use meters ? Dave Hinson

Good Morning , Running P3DV4.2. This is a first for me. I just updated the navigraph cycle to 1804. When I loaded the 737 the FMC had the out of date warning however the cycle data had the latest installed. I have just unloaded FSX and all the files associated with FSX as not to create a conflict with Prepar. I loaded the data to the PMDG file in P3D and checked the folder to insure it was updated. Any thoughts about this is appreciated. Diehl I figured it out, I did not realize that the date in the sim was 2017.

Pressing R6 POS REF on the Progress page displays the POS REF page. On my current flight, the FMC (GPS) position is shown with the R1 ARM key displayed. The Inertial position is shown as 4.01 nm different (from what?), and the GPS and RADIO positions different by 0.07nm and 0.03 nm respectively. The last line shows the Required Navigational Performance as 2.00 nm and the Actual Navigational Performance as 0.06 nm. The VOR DME at R6 shows PLR. Can someone explain the meanings of the items on this page and what is the meaning of 'update', particularly as applied to inertial reference position? Any help is much appreciated.

What would happen if..... OK, folks please don't jump all over me, yes I made an incredibly fundamental mistake here. I get it. But it got me to thinking what would happen in real life if such a travesty were to actually occur? I neglected to notice on the 737 NGX-900 overhead panel that all the external doors were still open, taxied out to the runway, and yep, took off! Around 11K feet the airbags dropped and I quickly realized what happened and got it down to 10K feet as quick as I could. There was no shutting the doors at that point. I started to bring it around to land but in my worsening state of depression I figured this was most likely a lethal mista…

I am using PMDG 737 NGX and I am amazed at the high quality of the product. I have been having some issues with full flights and I am in the process of investigating performance limitations. All seems to be well with all flights until I get to the final stages. One flight completely locked up with 2 miles to go and a flight today landed but with just a few miles to go it got very jumpy and difficult to fly. I also have some challenges running the pmdg 737 ngx. I cant seem to make it work with the ngx as a default aircraft. I also cannot managed to save it with the screen configurations in place, so that when I reload these configurations, the screens have …

Hi there, I am trying to purchase the 737 for p3dv4, but after going through the paypal stuff, and it re-directs back to pmdg, I am told the cart is empty. Is there a fault with this? JP

I backed up multiple 747 QotS II aircraft in one PTP. When I try to restore I get a dialogue box (https://imgur.com/T7LDDw1) that lists the aircraft in the file and says to select one. I do and press OK then nothing happens.... I have a custom naming convention and don't want to have to download all those aircraft again and make changes...... The aircraft that I backed up one at a time (had the custom naming too) imported just fine.

FYI The aircraft.cfg may have invalid lines created by repainters. The atc_flight_number= cannot have letters in it, it must be numbers only. 185L and LH200 are examples in a KLM 772 and Lufthansa Cargo repaint. - David Lee

Hi Captains, this post is for Opencockpits hardware owners and PMDGs or Level-D airplane users. I made a new free application who allow simple communication between Level-D 767, PMDG 7s (737, 777, 747) and Opencockpits/SIOC modules. It's quite simple to use and there is a little quick reference guide in the download. Feel free to post your feedbacks or questions. This a free application with no pro support but i'll try to answer. It works on my FSX-SE version. I have no other FSX version for testing it, but feedbacks are welcome. As I fully expected, my comments were censored by PMDG for making a point about their prices. This Rizzion person sent me a message saying that due to my ignorance about the licensing process I was not qualified to make comment about their prices. This is the same person who would not allow customers to install liveries on the old 747 version, another technicque to force us tp buy the new product again. Go ahead and delete it now, I made my point. My name is Huascar Lopez United States Marine Corps

Captains, We have just issued an update for Prepar3D v4 users that will alleviate the onset of a ctd/hung screen/black screens problem in the PMDG 747-400 induced by a change Lockheed Martin made during the release phase of Prepar3D v4.2. If you are a Prepar3D v4 user who has the 747-400 installed, you can obtain the update directly via the PMDG Operations Center. A red notification bar will appear on the top right of the Operations Center when it is run, and you can probably follow the instructions from there. NOTE: This update does not apply to any aircraft other than the PMDG 747-400, and can be installed to any version of Prepar3D, but will only make …

Hi, I am about to install 747 QOTS II in P3Dv4 and wondered how you have approached the installation? I am aware that PMDG standard default installation does not use the add-on.xml approach but am wondering if by installing the PMDG aircraft folders and files outside the default P3dv4 folder structure in a separate Aircraft/addons location has any negative impact? In theory I have read it should work using P4AO, but what about in practice? What have people decided to do here? Any pros or cons to this approach? Any known issues to speak of? On a slightly different but related topic, I would like to point out that the readme file dated 27 JUL 2017…

Gentlemen, I am wondering if those of you out there in the know have any experience with VR setups in P3Dv4 - specifically with PMDG built machines. Was looking at the FlyInside software coupled with an Occulas Rift but wanted to hear some first hand accounts of how things look and feel and just generally operate as a whole. Thanks in advance and happy holidays.

Hello, Is it possible to move the files included inside C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\PMDG\PMDG Operations Center\Updater to another disk? I'm asking because the 747 has amassed 4GB of files on my 120GB SSD and I'm trying to make some free space. Particularly the Backup, Gauges and SimObjects folder are consuming most of the 4GB size. Thanks in advance!

This appears to be the only way to contact PMDG. I was trying to place my first order with them, and I wanted to use PayPal. I put the product I wanted (737NGX) in my cart and went to checkout. I clicked the Paypal button on the page and was sent to Paypal. They asked me to sign in, told me the order total was for $89.99, and then returned me to the merchant. PMDG then told me I had nothing in my cart. So I again put the 737NGX in my cart and again clicked the PayPal button. The previous process was then repeated, and when I returned to PMDG after PayPal did their thing, my cart was again empty. Very frustrating!

I just installed the PMDG 777 and navigraph and I noticed that with some airports in the FMC when I go to select the proper SIDS and STARS there are no runways and no SIDS or STARS displaying, has anyone else seen this problem and how to fix this.
