Fellows,Just installed the bird from scratch with the 1.1 update. Did not encounter any problems at all. With Fred's tutorial beside me, started the battery and after that, switched the APU. There comes the fun:After abt. 30 seconds the APU sounds come through and the bird starts to jump up and down the platform like it goes completely out of mind. Remember I only started the APU...Any ideas?Tnx and regards,Michel Kraneveldt

Hey all, I hope someone can help me with this one. I recently bought the 737NG and am using it on FS2002, yesterday to be exact, and I am impressed with the panel etc. execpt I have run into a few problems. First, when I installed the aircraft I elected to have the load manager installed, however, when I go to run the manager it gives me this fatal error: "Could not detect a vaild Microsoft Flight Simulator installation" and then quits. Second, I downloaded and thought that I installed the full service patch, but when I go to run FS I get this message: "Cannot find MS Flight Simulator Registry Tree. Are you sure it was installed properly?" then after FS starts I go and …

Hi all,I just purchased the 737 and wow, I am impressed. I also discovered recently WidevieW in FS2002, and I am planning to try it in FS2004.I was surprised to find out after the installation of the 737 and service pack 1 that I don't need to generate a key to register my purchase. I am still afraid of what will happen in 10 days...What if I install it on a second + third computer to have a 6 monitor setup ? Will I get the option to activate it ? Do I need to buy 3 copies ?Since it is not cheap, I prefer to ask first... any experience ?Lorenzo

Here's what I have done to preserve the FS2002 PMDG flight dynamics in FS2004. It involves some modification to the B737-700.air and aircraft.cfg files...these are for the -700.FS2004 ignores the wing incidence and twist parameters, resulting in about 0.5 deg more nose-up attitide for a given AoA in FS2004, and there is a significant increase in induced drag resulting from this and other changes in the way FS2004 does flight dynamics. After the mods, I have pitch, trim, and cruise fuel flows consistent between FS2002 and FS2004.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Washington, D.C.========================================MODIFICATIONS:In B737-700.air:Tabl…

Letting the autopilot fly the STAR is all very well, but the lat part always results in a straight line to the landing runway threshold (i.e. no real approach). Is there an easy way to create/programme into the FMC nav system a Final Approach Fix on the landing runway heading, for example 8 or 10 miles from touchdown? Thanks for any help.Toni.

Hi, I formatted the system 2 times this weekend, one time at least because I had a virus. Now, I made a fresh instalation of PMDG in FS 2004 and everything works fine, except the fact that the PF usage (after making control alt delete and going to the performance page in windows Xp) shows too high values. Begins with 400 or 500 MB and it goes to 1.60 gigabites of PF usage with FS opened. It is not normal since when I had 512 DDR 333 everything was possible to do, and now with a much better processor, a better motherboard, much better graphic card and 2 times memory, the PC and FS runs too slow after 10 or 20 times due to that PF usage. When I see the memory used by FS is n…

Hi fellow 737NG pilots, Is there a way to view other aircraft traffic (TCAS) from the PMDG 737NG Nav display (ND)? I thought by clicking TFC button on the Navigation Display Control Panel that the traffic would appear on the ND? For some unknown reason, I can't view TCAS information, what am I doing wrong?Regards,Chad C. DeMuth-OlsenPilothttp://home.bresnan.net/~atc01/Images/chad...1_signature.jpg

Just wondering if the Fasten Seat Belt "AUTO" logic is modelled in PMDG?Shouldn't the Fasten Seat Belt chime sound when you move the switch from OFF to AUTO on the ground with the flaps up? Shouldn't the chime also sound (when in Auto) in the air when you retract the flaps to UP and again, when you extend the flaps? (I don't know for sure, but the wiring schematics seem to suggest this). No Smoking may be different on some 737's because they hardwire the No Smoking lights on. How is this modelled in PMDG? (I haven't got the program which allows me to wander through the cabin).Regarding the Attendant Call system, shouldn't pushing the button on the overhead panel generate a…

After I load my flight Plan into the FMC, I click on the Dep page to set a different runway and this is what I get. "Program Error" and the page is black. So I go back and enter my departure airport and my arrival airport, then I go to the departure page and all the runways are there and everything is ok. But when I load my company flight plane I get the same error message again.

Hello, I would like to inquire if the NG FMS supports flight plan programming independent of the FS9 flight planner (can I enter a random plan via the keypad)? Are victor and jet route airways programmable in the NG FMS?Can I reprogram the FMS in flight with new waypoints and a change in destination?Does the NG FMS support Direct TO waypoint functions? Can Lat/Long coordinates (user defined waypoints) be added to any flightplan?Does the NG FMS display flap setting and V-speeds?____________Thanks!

Hi All,I was reading about the Air Conditioning system and found out that "One pack may be inoperative provided maximum altitude is limited to: FL250"Why cant the 737-NG fly above FL250 if one pack fails? Also, "If you dispatch with one pack inop, then max alt FL250. If a pack fails when above this level, then you may continue at the higher level. "I don't understand this statment neither. How can a pack fail ABOVE FL250 if you cant fly above that altitude if 1 Pack Inop? :-roll Besides, If both pack fails why can the 737-NG then climb to , let's say, FL310 and not without 1 pack? Why this limitation?I think i messed up everything in my mind. x(Bruno Francescoli.
