If I enter flaps of more then 25 on the FMC, I get Invalid Entry.Is that a bug?

Hello everyone, What a pleasant surprise. Bill Bulfer's B737 FMC User's Guide annd his 737NG Cockpit Companion came in the mail today. Great!! I have his FMC User's Guide for the 747, for PS1, and even though the actual FMCs might have differences from the PMDG I assume I will benefit as much from the 737NG's as I did for the 747. I am very pleasantly surprised at the info in CC book. Good stuff. Now more reading and reading and reading.Cheers

hi all,i feel that there are a few things missing in this package, which i am sure are in the real 737.1. No Zulu time on the cockpit only local time, Zulu is in the FMC but noone where else.2. I was at approximately 11000 feet and it told me the outside temperature was 21C while at KLAX it was 20C.3. No Traffic visible on the display when i press the "TFC" button, this was included in the PSS777 / 747 for FS2002, so i don't know why its not included here.4. No sounds when passing or reaching a waypoint, again this was included in the PSS products, and must be in real life.5. Gents,Ok well I am still sticking to learning this great airplane. I have been running the KLAX to KLAS route a bunch of times. For the most part, I am figuring out most my problems but I still have a few questions. Remember, I am fairly new to anything about flying real navigation! I bought a trackIR for use with IL-2 which I played a lot. I had never messed with any flight sims except the Flight Unlimited 1&2 and then I guess I really did not get it. Hello PMDG enthusiasts,I would like to ask for some help concerning the SIDSTARs of my home airport EDDN Nuremberg. Every time when I try to input a new route I get a message " err. NB at line 14" when entering the airport EDDN (POS INIT page or ROUTE page). Yes, I have the AIRAC 309 cycle.The runways 10 and 28 of EDDN are no longer available in the FMC.Can someone give me an idea, which mistake I should look for? Hello all: I just bought FS9, (I always try to talk myself out of buying each upgrade to MSFS), and I am surprised! I thought my ATI 9500 PRO would be a big problem, but the flickering is short and I haven't seen any problems on the kneeboards. The real surprise is that the NG works real well, so far. I have higher frame rates than I did in 2K2, especially in the outside views. Just thought I'd relay this experience. Keith Whyte

Well, now joining the FS9 pooched line it seems, nothing to do with PMDG, but it ate my scenery files and suddenly wants to complain non-stop ... I have absolutely no idea what happened, scenery cache is empty, nothing changed anywhere, no reason at all for this one. Used MS's restore defaults, accomplished nothing except to restore the defaults ;) so the problem is obviously not in any area that is controlled by any of the configuration files...Grrr, if it didn't look so good, I'd be using them CD's a frizbees right now :-bang Well, now we get to test a COMPLETE PMDG reload from scratch on a new FS9 :-lolRay(edit)The MS uninstaller does a wonderful job of leaving all sor…

Does anyone know of a site to visit which shows map details of the SIDs and STARs in the FMC database?Seeing them listed when programming the FMC is great but pretty useless if you've no idea what area (North, South, East or West) each one is covering.(Suggestion for future enhancement...? Dreamfleet's 737 FMC has a very useful option to see a simple map view of the SID/STAR to assist in choosing the appropriate one for your planned flight.)Thanks for any help.Toni.

I've answered my own question, and added an audio panel fromthe default 737 to the NG - In my extensive (5 minutes on theground) testing, I've determined that you can now ident navradios, have both com radios going at once, andactivate/deactivate the marker beacons.Here's what you need to do to make it work. If I turn on the left center fuel pump before starting the APU (which is the recommended procedure - Bulfer 737 cockpit companion page 44), will the APU run and deplete fuel from the center tank?

I have now updated my SID/STARS files for EGCC AND EGKK, I have removed the altitude constraints for waypoints with XXXX or ABOVE AT AND XXXX or BELOW AT, which were causing problems. Does anyone know if the "LAST POSITION" on the FMC POS INIT page updates on the real aircraft as the flight progresses?I suspect it does.Also, I've noticed on 747-400's that the LAST POSITION does not freeze when the IRS's are turned off, if the GPS's are still inputting into the FMC. Even when the aircraft is being towed (with the IRS's off, but with aircraft electrical power on), the LAST POSITION is constantly being updated. On non-GPS aircraft, I believe the position freezes (although I'm not sure at what point... perhaps IRS shutdown, perhaps park brake set/fuel levers off?).Something to consider when implementing a full IRS system ;-)Cheers.Ian.
