Hey there,I seem to have two small problems with the NG.First, the flaps seem to be rather small on the external model. For example, flaps 40 in the real thing would put the flaps down to an angle of about 40 degrees. The flaps on the PMDG airplane on the other hand only seem to go down 20 degrees or less. Also I cannot find the high-speed ailerons, which I am not sure the -700 has.Second, and this is a FS problem in general, all my electrical equipment shuts down after about 5-10 minutes with the engines turned off. At that point, even the APU isn't capable of giving me any power supply. Bummer.Any help?PH-MWB

I was in a VNAV climb at CLB-1 thrust rating. I decided to increase the rate of climb by going to full rated climb thrust. I chose full CLB thrust through the FMC, and although it was not obvious that the selection had been made in the CDU, the EICAS showed CLB and the N1 Limit increased to the full climb rating. However, the actual power setting remained the same, as did my climb rate.I switched to LVL CHG mode, and the power setting went up to the new full rated CLB N1 limit. I switched back to VNAV, and the power setting remained at the CLB N1 Limit.Shouldn't VNAV have used the new rating in the first place? Thanks,Don S.

Greetings pilots and programmers...With the SU1-1 update out the door, I was wondering if any of the programmers have been able to take a look at the logic behind the "system failures". As many of you know, the only failure which appears to function is the V1 Engine Cutout. It would be appreciated if an update can be provided by the programming team! (is: is it being actively looked into, or is it still being tabled?) Hi all, I have been simming for quite sometime, I have to say that the PMDG beats all the competition hands down. Its the best add on plane I have ever flown better than dreamfleet even. Good job to all those involved with the making of such a superb product.RegardsDavid Bowen Cyber Air 062.:)

Hi,Normally I don't care too much about external models of FS aircraft, but I have to post the attached pictures to show my appreciation for the excellent work PMDG has done. Of course, the systems, panels and flight modeling are superb as well. In my opnion this plane is a winner. Congratulations to PMDG.Compare my screen shots (aircraft unedited) with:http://www.airliners.net/open.file/323688/M/http://www.airliners.net/open.file/344662/M/Best regards,Henrihttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/33985.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/33986.jpg

Hello,I have installed all that is necessary for a complete update for the PMDG 737. However, after the latest update, I have lost the ability to get TO speeds on the FMC. As well, how do you determine the optimal altitude before, during and after a flight? There is no mention in the FMC nor were any tables/charts provided. Please help.Jana (ACVA076)

I've a small problem with creating flight plans. The problem is figuring out the active runway at the arrival airtport in FS9. Right now I'm just taking a guess based on the prevailing winds at the departure airport. Works ok for really short hops, but going from KONT to KGEG is another story. I fly the ZOOMR1.EPH approach at KGEG, and when programming the FMC I need to select a runway for landing. Where I run into a problem is while on approach, I find out I have, of course picked the wrong runway. I am set up for a left downwind for runway 210, but by the time I'm in range to contact KGEG tower and am cleared straight in for runway 3 my descent path istoo high to make t…

I am trying to figure out a small problem i have in VNAV. When it comes time for me to descend I lower the MCP altitude to say 10000 ft where I have on the legs page to cross a certain waypoint. I get the message saying lower MCP altitude (after I already have). The 737 wont descend to the desired altitude in VNAV. I am almost positive I am doing something wrong. I wonder if any one can point me to where I can find the proper procedure or can you tell me what I am doing wrong.Thank youAndrew

hi, Ive been having trouble with aircraft textures that take forever to load... like when I switch to the Vc in the 737 it takes like 2-5 seconds to load the textures, if I switch to the external view it sometimes takes upward of 5 seconds, while the other fs2004 textures (ground textures, sky, clouds, buildings, are always loaded). What I mean by the aircraft and vc txtures taking forever to load is all the textures look grey for a while then finally load up one by one. I dont know what the problem is I have plenty of memory as you can see from my specs below. My system is deffinetly not a monster by any means but upwards of 5 seconds to load the aircraft tectures and su…

Hi everyone...I'm having some very annoying problems with the Autopilot on both the -600 and -700 737's. When the AP is engaged, LNAV and Heading Select work perfectly. However when trying to use VNAV or Vertical Speed Select, the aircraft go nuts. When one of these are selected, the aircraft pitches up about 8 degrees then down 8 and so on. It does not matter what is put into the VS box or the MCP Alt, she continues to climb.I have tried this with the Autothrottle on and off, Elec/Autopilot Stab Trim in the "Normal" and "Cut Out" position and several other ways and all produced the same result. I have heard that some others are having pitch errors or VNAV problems.I…

I just purchased the 737 and did not recieve my install file/ email notice. Anyway, after looking at my reciept, I noticed that there was a typo, a comma, in my email address. Argh! Anyway, I was really wanting to mess around with this thing this weekend and cannot of course install it until I can get my email address corrected. Can anyone help? Thanks.

I notice that I am unable to keep PMDG's Alternate Flaps Control UP Switch in the UP position for more than a few seconds. No problems on the real Classic and NG....http://members.ozemail.com.au/~b744er/737/AltFlapsUP.jpgI'm trying hard not to mention Viagra in this message ;-)Cheers.Ian.

I am having some problems with the SID / STAR programming.Take the following STAR for example:The LISCOM6 Arrival for Halifax (CYHZ) Runway 15.http://bathursted.ccnb.nb.ca/vatcan/fir/mo...HZ_LISCOMB6.gifThe procedure for rwy 15 calls for a heading of 325 after passing IGVOP at 4200. If I understand correctly you are not permitted to close the STAR and turn to TETAR unless/until you are cleared for the approach. So my line for rwy 15 in the procedure file CYHZ.txt is as follows:STAR LISCM6.RW15 NAVAID IGTAS NAVAID LEROS NAVAID TIDON NAVAID IGVOP 4200 HDG 325 NAVAID TETAR 3200 RNW 15However, this produces an error in that line number. To correct the error I had to remove…

I just did a flight from EKCH to EHAM and I had a small problem. (unless it's normal of course :D)Before the T/D-point ATC instructed me to descent to FL220, so I started a LVL-CHANGE descent out of FL340 for FL220.Later on ATC instructed me to cross a waypoint at FL100. So I put the restriction in de FMC, set the MCP to FL100 and hit the VNAV button. But what happened?: The airplane started to climb because the first waypoint on my flightplan had an altitude of FL230.Am I doing something wrong? I tested it twice.Regards
