Hello,My VC and Aircraft textures ( not all ) are dissapearing without any known cause and effect or regularity. They come and go at will. I've tried running in WINDOW Mode, FULL Screen Mode, re-installed FS9, de-fragged, re-installed the AC several times and am now turning to you guys for suggestions.I am using the house livery 737-700 2D / VC model.Card is TI4600 with the 45.23's in a P4 2.4 gig pushing 1024 megs RAM. cheersGreg

hii'm pretty unsatisfied with the SID/STAR database from PMDG HP. i'm missing lots of data for german airports (some airports don't have any, some don't provide SIDS for all rwys). i use FSNAV for planning, and downloaded their database wich is very accurate and provides great STARS wich guide you exactely to an appropiate ILS capture.now my question: can i somehow convert the FSNAV database (ending *.ss) to one i can use for PMDG's 737?thanx,stu

FSNav is 4.6 is available for download at www.fsnavigator.com. It is now available from the English site as well.I just installed it and it seems to work just like it used to.Steven.PS. Are there any plans for the FMC to be able to import FS2004 flight plans? I own FSBuild but I much prefer FSNav!

Today flying from KSEA to AnchorageUsing Weather Centre 2 in FS2004, There was bad winds, But the plane could not handle it and it bobed up and down so bad that in the end it just droped out of the sky, and I could no longer be botherd to keep control of it, manaul or auto flight, it made no difference.My question is is this a bug, or is have i done something wong?Jason

Mr Randazzo: I have been greatly impressed by your willingness to respond to questions in this forum. My problem has occurred on installation of your download version of the 737NG. I purchased the download version tonight. I have the order number and the password from you without problem. My net connection is broadband so the downloads have gone without any problem. However part way through the download I received a request to insert installation disk no 2. The box would not click away. I even inserted the FS9 disk 2, but that didn't work. I've noticed that a lot of desktop simulators fall short when it comes to modelling engine start ever since jet engines with EEC control were introduced (in basically all price categories) .Common flaws:1. With no fuel applied, the engine starter motor keeps on accelerating the N2 almost up to engine idle speed (OK in PMDG by the way). Real life Starter motors are lucky if they can drive the high pressure rotor rpms to 30%, let alone 55% (55% is when the starter motors disengage from the engine on the 737NG). BTW, driving the engine as fast as it can with only the starter motor (i.e. no fuel or ignition) is known as "max motoring" the engine.2. The (normal and alternate) …

The 737 is a great model. Good work guys. My suggestion is related to the panel view options (2D, VC and VC + cabin).Your VC IS beautiful. It is also a frame rate killer. I would be cruising along at 20 FPS (my preset value) and switch to VC view. Down I go to 10-11 FPS even when looking at the wings from a viewpoint outside the cabin. This is using a P4 2.53 and an ATI 9700 Pro.My personal preference for aircraft is all-round 2D views AND straight wing views with the addition of a few view points in the panel.cfg file.So I used your panel with the FFX 737-300. Hi,Using FS2002. Flying around and just playing with the craft. I'm Level at 5000 and would like to climb to 10,000. I dial it into the ALT box hit level change and the aircraft starts accelerating and blows through the speed I have set on the MCP by about 8-10 kts while at the same time launching me into a 4000 FPM climb. It then gradually calms itself and resumes the speed I had originally set. Similar problem with descending.I've installed SU1 but interestingly enough when I look at the version of Airplane in the top right side of the screen in the "select aircraft" menu it still says 1.0.ZFW 119.3FOB 12,000LBSWhat's going on?Thanks,Paul

Well, it looks like my computer wasn't so badly damaged after the "barbeque".... I replaced a bit here, readjusted a bit there, cleaned a bit somewhere else... and lo-and-behold it fired up and... most importantly... stayed fired up.... So, it's back to business as usual ;-)I think I've read every message on the Board since the NG was released... but just in case I haven't... Has anyone come up with a fix for very slow loading times??? I'm still waiting 6 minutes for PMDG to fire up and six minutes to shut down.... Which eats into a lot of my simming time. On a flight KSEA-KBIL (1hr approx) the tanks were set C=0, L=80%, R=80%. After 45min the R tank was 1160lbs less than the L tank and the gauge was showing a fuel imbalance. Fuel was identical to both engines throughout the flight.Also I can only set the initial fuel levels with all power off. If I try to set the fuel level with the battery and APU on then the left tank always resets to 100% and I get an imbalance.Paul Gardner

Hi,After installing the new SIDSTAR data base to the FMC I found a couple of places it would not accept when entering the route ( the error indicated was " incorrect runway " or something similar ) - CYWG & CYOW ( Winnipeg & Ottawa ). Anyway, there is a runway at both airports, 07/25 & 04/22 that do not have a STAR assigned to them - just go into the PMDG / SIDSTAR folder and find these airports and delete the above mentioned runways then the FMC will let you program a flight to these airports.There may be others so if you have any problems on the route page this is a good place to start.The reason I was able to find the solution is that I fly for a living an…

O.K., maybe I'm the last guy to figure this out, but - Did you ever wonder how the fuselage textures mapped on the nose and cockpit? hii'm quite confused, after trying to perform a complete flight for 10 hours now, i still run from problem to problem. haven't been flying yet, and slowly losing patience. here's my latest problem:i installed the SID/STAR package from your website and programmed the FMC for a flight from EDDK to EDDH. first, the SID/STAR database is quite strange (at least for german airports): when i select (for example) rwy 32, and an appropiate SID, it seems that they don't "fit" together. the ND is showing a route for the opposite direction. also the second waypoint is discribed as around 3000 miles away although it is visually shown right "in line" of the route. this causes a "insuff…

Flying the 737 with SU1 in FS2004.The ground proximity callouts (1000..500..miniums..etc) disappear after the first flight unless I relaod the aircraft before I continue with the next leg of the flight.The takeoff callouts (90kts, v1, vr) continue to work on multiple flights but the ground proximity call outs only work for the first landing then don't work again.Reloading the aircraft between legs seems to work, but I'd rather not have to do that if there is a fix for this.Thanks,

my AP overshoots the heading i have selected when i'm using "HDG SEL" and some times LNAV to. This problem eccures at long turns. the AP stops banking to late and usely it winds up overshooting about 10 degrees. Is it suposed to be this way ore is it a bug? (PMDG737)thank's!Roar Andre Nicolaisen

Is the Thrust Reduction Height setting on the Takeoff Ref page active in PMDG? I set it for 3000', but the appearance of "CLB" on the Engine Display (above the N1 indications) didn't seem to appear until about 3500' (3400' above the airport, KSFO). I didn't have VNAV engaged, but the Bulfer Manual says that this is not necessary. Are there any other prerequisites?Thanks.Cheers.Ian.

Is a tutorial or documentation of some sort available explaining the format of the 737's SID/Star database? It is considerably different from the 767 PIC. I'd like to be able to create SIDS/Stars if there is any information on the proper way to do it for the 737.Thank youDonnie
