Hello folks,I know that American Airlines does NOT use the -700 but while we wait for PMDG to create the -800, I decided to try and repaint the -700 with the AA livery. Here is a preview of what 2 hours of work can give you! ;) Any comments are welcomed. Keep in mind that AA does not have an -700 on their fleet, so I had to guess where to place some items as the word "American" on the fuselage.http://www.aavirtual.com/screenshots/0039.jpghttp://www.aavirtual.com/screenshots/0040.jpghttp://www.aavirtual.com/screenshots/0041.jpghttp://www.aavirtual.com/screenshots/0042.jpghttp://www.aavirtual.com/screenshots/0043.jpgregards,Efrain Ruiz, AAV1COO/Vice-PresidentAmericanAirline…

Hi. A few weeks ago there was a post (if I recall correctly) of an Easyjet B737 that hit some hail. I just saw a post at PPRUNE that led to this (Swiss?) forum. Scroll down for pics. Must have been scary to sit in that cockpit (and pax seat as well).BTW, it says something about copyright, but I don

This is not an issue with PMDG 737 but with Flight Sim.When the sun is behind, the virtual cockpit is "bright and clear", the same as the 2D cockpit. When I turn the aircraft, the virtual cockpit gradually gets darker until it is so dark I cannot see the panels / instruments. The 2D cockpit is still "bright and clear".I had the same situation in FS2002 and FS2004.The 3D virtual cockpit is very impressive and I enjoy the virtual cockpit view.I do turn my monitor brightness and contrast up to 95%. It is normally at 80%.Any suggestions / settings to adjust. Thanks and regards,Mal

Hi all, just completed my first flight from egll to eidw (heathrow to dublin). I was impressed not only with the 737 but also fs2004. Historically I have always had problems with saved flights not loading properly, but after re-entering the flight plan in the fmc it was a breeze - perfect autoland too. Only thing was the occasional insufficient fuel message.I am a ps1 fan too, and it strikes me that the 737ng is very similar to the 744, sort of a baby 747-400, especially the glass cockpit. what do you lot think?ant

The PMDG web site states that a registered version of FSUIPC for FS9 is installed with the package.Tonight I started going through the tutorial.. APU was running and connected to the main bus.As I was entering my FMC data I lost all power (5 to 10 minutes later). Subsequent reloads of the aircraft produced the same result. In FS2002 this would be solved by setting the battery life to 0 (indefinite). But this option is not open to me here. The FSUIPC stills shows the basic options for a non-registerd version. Now, one of the reasons I purchased the 737 was because it stated it had a fully registerd version of FSUIPC. I presumed that things like this would not happen.Would so…

Hi!I've seen this kind of error several times in my flights, but I don't know if the error is created by the 737 or if it's resulting from bad data in the Navdata AIRAC.If you try this flightplanLOWW PUBEG UM984 DIVKO UN852 MAMES UN975 QUV UM985 MGA LEMG,you will get a distance from over 2200nm between VIBAS (which is the last waypoint lying on UM985 before MGA) and MGA...If you look at the flightplan created by FSBuild2, you can see the real distance, which is 50nm...I've deleted MGA and put it back into the flightplan via the LEGS page, but although I have chosen the correct MGA, the distance of 2200 was still there...Then I erased MGA completely and chose a STAR contai…

hii tryed to fly the 737 (wich looks awesome), but after several tries i still can't take off. problem: after passing V1-Vr-V2 section, the plane seems to abord the takeoff. breaks activate, and throttle goes back to idle. (made me crash the 1st time). i set the autobrakes to "RTO" (as the tutorial said), should i forget about this? as an experianced simmer (767PIC, DF737, PSSA320), i think i did everything right with the FMC, MCDU etc...haven't found a topic in the formum about it. what could this be?thnx for replies, stu

Is it possible to program a FS2002 add-on which will allow you to select the Landing Gear Lever to OFF on the ground. Every now and then, when you are working on an aircraft. It will be necessary for you to position the lever to OFF (taking all the necessary precautions, of course). I notice that some MS sims simulate the OFF position in the air but I've only found one sim (a non-MSFS sim) which simulates the ability to select OFF on the ground and in the air. Er.... Perhaps I should be asking this on the panel designers forum?Next....a question for the pilots....Should I get an audible clunk, on liftoff, when my 737NG Landing Gear Lever Lock solenoid energizes? It's very…

This may be related to a previous problem regarding hydraulics and flaps...I was trying to see if the PMDG 737NG had an Autoslat System, a Hydraulic Power Transfer Unit and a Flap Load Relief System. The Autoslat system fully extends the slats if they are (already) partially extended and the aircraft is about to stall (Prerequisites: Airspeed has to be below 230kts, the flap lever has to be at 1, 2 or 5 units. Also, the Alternate Flaps should not be in use, the T/E flaps must not be up and the aircraft must be in the air). The logic crunching is done by the 2 Stall Management Yaw Damper Computers (SMYD's). The Stall Warning Yaw Damper Computers look at the airplane configu…

Had a few patterns and 2 flights to test the 737NG.First - it is amazing to see the gap between perfect simulated details and other items totally messed up.Examples of impressing details: Bank angle and slip indicator w/warning. Command bars out of view prior to T/O. Pitch command change at 60knots. Alpha floor ann. in MCP speed window......Items to be corrected ASAP:Pitch sensitivity - you should able to disconnect A/P on final (in calm weather) and ship should be rock steady, only thrust adjustment for vertical speed.Aural warnings and GPWS - PMDG better start from scratch here. T/O warning OK with engines shut down, with engines running not - Park brake T/O warning?. …

Open FSUIPC.ini file, in the modules folder and check if this line says:MagicBattery=YesWith this setting your battery probably won't run dry. This works for the unregistered version.Best regards,Gerrit Kranenbarg

Is anyone having this problem? I've armed spoilers for T/D, yet they fail to deploy, throttle is at idle on T/D, I apply thrust reversers, still nothing. I know this was an issue in 2002. I haven't tried it with other aircraft, so I don't know if this is an FS problem or not. Dave FisherCYYZ

Hi there,I have a P4 2.5 w/512Mb ram, Radeon 9800 Pro & SB LIVE - and get around 20 FPS with PMDG 737 and a 'cold' cockpit. Great I think. But, when I have started he engines they progressively drop until the PC is running sooooo slowly. Could this be a sound problem as it is having to deal with more sounds with the turbines going?I am confused.Luke

Greetings everyone, About a two weeks ago I started work on a New Continental Airlines livery for the PMDG 737-700, and I thought I would show you the progress so far. I have been doing a little bit at a time but now that I have more free time I decided to kick in the afterburners and finish this monster :-hah. Ok enough small talk here's the preview:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/32350.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/32352.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/32353.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/32355.jpgAs you can see It's not finished, still have to do the engines, tail, wings, and some other details. Stay tuned and I'll keep everyone updated to the p…

Hi Kimberly,As far as I know I think this was addressed in the SU1 patch. Haven't had any trouble with it myself. :-)Hope it helps,
-
Hi Kimberly,If you just installed the 737 and ran the SU1 update (not other changes or upgrades previously installed) and recieved this message then I suspect you already got the updated download. Unfortunately running the patch over it may have screwed things up a bit. You may want to run the un-installer (at www.precisionmanuals.com) and reinstall the base download again and see if that clears up your problems. When your left tank qty drops, have you made any changes in the qty right before this happened or were you just running the preflight. I know that there was an issue with changing the fuel qty when the sim was not paused would cause the qty to revert. R…
