  1. Lefteris,Some while back I heard that you were taking a 3-4 week break from the PMDG737 before you started serious work on the module to link to Aerosoft's 747MCP.How are things going? Do you have a planned release date? Flying the 737 is great but making adjustments to the MCP with the mouse definitely isn't.Cheers,

At this time I'm glad how to use the FMC because I learned it from the 767PIC documents. Is there a manual written for the PMDG FMC?

Hi all,Most of the time I am unable to select engines with the E key. I can only select engine 2 by pressing and holding the E AND 2 key a while. Selecting engine 1 in the same manner works, but there is no way I can select both engines again. I try pressing and holding E+1+2 but only engine 1 or 2 is selected. I try pressing E,1,2 very quickly, no luck. Only when I reload the aircraft in FS2004 both engines are selected again.I have the same problem with the doors. Door #1 is no problem, but any higher numbered exit is not selectable.Again: sometimes selecting engines/exits is fine, but 90% of the time I have these problems. I do select the proper aircraft with multiple …

I dont own this product but I am following this NG release very closely because of my deep respect for the PMDG team. I do plan to purchase very soon (I want to refromat my HD first).Right, VNAV. I believe this issue comes up with every advanced panel/program that utilizes it. I remember sitting in the captains seat in a apu powered up 767 in Caracas on the ramp for several hours one night (no I am not and ATP - a power failure in the terminal and most folks got off and sat in the dark and the heat at the immigration intake - me I stayed on the plane with packs on, cold drinks and the flight crew) talking with the FO. This was around the time PIC came out. We talked …

Finally solved the incredibly slow bootup problems I was getting with PMDG... and similarly slow FS2002 exit times... and did it with a mouseclick! (or two).Playing with a Desktop Shortcut for another well-known sim (which needs an interface program to allow it to run with WinXP), I suddenly thought to have a look at how my FS2002.exe file was set up. Rightclicking on the file and selecting "Properties", then "Compatability", I noticed that Compatibility box had a green tick in it (Unfortunately, I can't recall what was selected). I deselected the green tick and then clicked on the FS2000 icon to see if this had helped any.I booted up FS2002 and much to my surprise, when …

A couple of moments ago I read about that with the latest patch, the registration scheme for activating the 737NG changed.I'm now unsure what data exactly (credit card number, order number, order data, password sent to me by e-mail when I ordered etc.) I need to preserve to allow me to enable the software once I'd need to do this again.Andreas

Hello,I'm starting the aircraft from a cold and dark state and I want to bring it to a state where I can program the FMC before starting the engines, in other words, just need electrical power, so here are the steps I'm following:From the Overhead panel:1. turn ON the BAT switch, (DC VOLTS indicates 23, and BAT DISCHARGE light is ON)2. turn ON GRD PWR (BAT DISCHARGE light is off)3. turn on the AFT 1 fuel pump4. start the APU5. turn ON the 2 APU GENAt this point my understanding is that the APU generators are generating electrical power for the system and are charging the bateries. What I notice is that the DC VOLTS continuously decreases and when it reaches 16, I loose pow…

Hello guysI have some trouble with takeoff. I can't manage to hold the v2+20 speed, and I don't know how to correctly retract flaps. To give you some info on my first problem:Before takeoff, I select 5 degree flap and set the trim to 5,25. When lined up on the runway, I let the N1 stabilze on 40%, and select TOGA. When I hear the call for rotate, I smoothly pulls back the stick, and I'm trying to follow the FD. But I can't manage this. The plane just continue to roll, and I haft to push the stick forward and reduce the trim setting to awoid stalling.what am i doing wrong? Hi All,I disconnected my A/T while in VNAV/LNAV A/P Mode and it didn't seem to want to maintain a proper amount of descent. I had my MCP ALT set at 4,000 and was out of about 15,000. As I gave it some throttle the nose seemed to come up even more, to pretty much level flight before I backed off and reengaged A/T. Can someone shed some light on this? I may be having many more questions coming up in the future. Hope that's ok. :)Jim Richards

QRH procedure will lead me to put the B FLT CONTROL switch to STBY RUD. In order to apply the procedurementioned above, the B FLT CONTROL switch must be left in STBY RUD, or i…

  21. Last March, before the FS2002 737 Release, I posted a question regarding the B777 for Fly!2. I have had trouble getting the ILS to work right. Hi!I've registered the 737 some time ago and I'm missing something totally unimportant - my preferred livery: Hapag Lloyd Express (the ones looking like an old NYC YellowCab).Since nobody has done it yet, I've decided to do it myself. I've found some information about painting in this forum, tried it, even had some success. The livery of HLX is quite complex (compared to my abilities :-)) so I did an easy one first, Germania. They are mostly white (like the PaintKit) and easy to draw. Please help me with two questions:* guess this is a really stupid one :+, didn't find the answer in a forum or groups.google, so the solution must be kind of obvious: One side of the fuselage…

After waiting for the main patches to come out, I purchased the 737NG today. What a wonderful experience thus far. I'm very impressed with the whole package. The sounds are some of the best I've ever heard. The visual model is, in my opinion, the best 737 model I've ever seen. Although some have found fault with it, I really like the panel graphics - simple and easy to see, read, and use.The autopilot .. am I mistaken, or has somebody been doing some Laplacian algebra to get this baby working this well? The way it turns to intercept navaids is fantastic, and I can only assume that some real world control theory was applied to the programming. The gauges are also better tha…

G'day,I keep losing electrical power during my preflight when the APU is powering the busses.I have power to most systems like hydraulic pumps but my EFIS is completely blank as are the MCP windows. The moment I select an engine start switch to ground, power returns. Is this a problem with the old battery drain issue that has existed with Flight Sim for so long?If so, how can I get around it without registering FSUIPC, I understand FSUIPC used to have a fix for the battery drain problem. Many thanks,Tom
