Good Afternoon all,I have just started to use the PMDG B73NG in FS9 and I have noticed that while using the 2D panel and just looking forward (the standard view) you seem look down at quite angle (on the view outside the window). This is normal?RegardsKimberly. :-outta

Hey everyone, I was wanting to fly online using this great 737 but I had a question. I just went to Vatsim.net and read their tutorial on how to fly online with FS9. They said I had to register FSUIPC to Squawkbox to be able to play. Will this affect the 737 at all, does the 737 come with the latest FSUIPC or should I upgrade to the latest freeware version???Thanks,Billy

Hi everybody,I've just installed PMDG 737NG under FS9 and it flies great !I had to alter my Decimal Symbol setting in Windows XP from comma to point to get my radios working (thanks to the forum for that one), but there are still some MAJOR problems and I havent found a solution (yet).1) As in real life I enter the plane with cold and dark cockpit. I connect ground supply, engage batery and start APU. At that moment I've got power and bleed air for the packs. I then start entering the flight plan in the FMC. BUT...!! After a short time, all power drops and all displays go blank ! I have tried other variations (only ground power, NO ground power, only APU, NO APU,...), eve…

HiDoes anyone know if it should be possible to restore a saved flightplan part way through a previously saved flight. As time never allows me to complete a flight in one go, this facility is very important. Each time i attempt to restore a saved flight plan after reloading the saved flight using the CO ROUTE option within RTE page 1, nothing appears although restoring back at the beginning of the flight is no problem.Any help or comments much appreciatedGary

Hi,Problem with 737NG+SU1 is that the TOC is not aligned if the flight path is modified.Steps:* Enter a valid flight plan* TOC/TOD showing alligned properly on the flight path* During climb selected direct to flight plan waypoint skipping some waypoints (e.g. direct to 3rd or 5th waypoint) as result it will change the shape (headings) of the flight pathEFFECT: TOC is shown on correct distance from aircraft but still on old "ghost" flight path. In other words, it is not alligned with the new path generated by DIRECT TO waypoint modification. TOC is still showing as if the plane was following the originally calculated flight path but just updated to reflect the new distance…

If you are one who desires to be able to see more out the side and forward R-L window views feel free to try this. 1] What file you are about to modify you will want to BACK-UP before changing! I cannot stress this enough.2] You must locate your PMDG *700* aircraft panel folder.3] Within the panel folder, open the *panelCFG* file and find the (VIEWS) section, it's towards the top.4] Copy and paste this: (VIEWS)VIEW_FORWARD_WINDOWS=20,21,22,23VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=3.5,0.0,0.0VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_WINDOWS=30VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_DIR=1.7, 0.0, 45VIEW_RIGHT_WINDOWS=34VIEW_RIGHT_DIR=2.4, 0.0, 90VIEW_REAR_RIGHT_WINDOWS=35VIEW_REAR_WINDOWS=36VIEW_REAR_LEFT_WINDOWS=33VIEW_LEFT_WINDOWS=32VIE…

When I clear a message on the FMC with the CLR key, shouldn't the FMC message anunciator on the panel also go out? Do I really need to clear the message in both places?Lee Hetherington (KBED)

Sorry if this has been covered already but I have looked at the FAQ post but cannot see an answer there.I am considering purchasing the 737NG but will be downloading on one PC but installing it into FS9 on a 2nd PC. This is easy with PSS products but the way the 737NG is registered I foresee problems. Can anyone confirm the above is possible, either by a reply or a link to the relevant msg? Many thanks.Dave Wild

I have downloaded Freds great tutorial, flying the 737 from KDEN to KLAX. I am following to to the letter but I am constantly hitting a snag or two, can anyone point me in the right direction please. FMC is loaded, engines started, taxing out to 17R, 35000 in ALT, V2+10 in speed, AT on FD on. TOGA engaged, brakes off, power set, 80kts, V1, rotate, gear up, (POWER DIES OFF TO 35%), AP engage, LNAV, VNAV, aircraft turns right to intercept the course outbound. (POWER STILL FALLING OFF), AIRCRAFT PITCHING NOSE UP TO 4500FPM...STALL, POWER COMES ON, NOSE FALLS, SPEED INCREASES AND NOSE PITCHES UP WHIST SPEED FALLS TO ENTER THE STALL AGAIN. Have tried to disengage VNAV and…

For your kind consideration:1. FMC database offset - for some reason nav database seems to be offset from actual airport position. Anytime I plug in current position into FMC it shows to be some 60 miles away from its position in the database - thus display.2. Side front views - if at all possible - is there a way to manually correct the panel.cfg entries to elevate eye-view position to see better towards front quarters of the aircraft.3. Errenous behaviour of SPD mode - for some reason SPD mode at acceleration height does not accelerate the aircraft towards set airspeed. Might as well be me, yet I read the manual and did not find the clue to my problem,4. Last, but not l…

I *THINK* you guys are gonna be very pleased with the VNAV update coming soon! I have had some of the same problems reported and have spent countless hours flying in every condition possible to make SURE that they no longer exist on **my system** ;) Here is me after another flawless flight, can you see my grin in the reflection? http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/31298.jpg[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. Hi folks,My 737 VC in FS9 is missing MCP, PFD, MFD gauges, as well as some backup instruments. Pic attached. The sound stutters in the VC and external views (possibly related?) I read a few posts on the subject but they weren't much help.Ran the remover tool, installed the 737, installed the update, then installed the Westjet winglets livery. Model selected was the -700 winglets/stairs with VC.System is 2400XP with 512 DDRGForce 4 Ti-4200 128 MBLots of disk spaceWindows XP Home"Memory usage" in Performance Options set to best performance of programs.Virtual Memory 1290 MB on all drives, system managed.AGP Aperture is 64 MB.Any ideas?Thanks,Greghttp://members.rogers.com…

Just a quick question. I searched the forum listings and the manual, but can't seem to pin it down...If a heading is selected in the heading box, why can't I push the "Heading" button and have it roll to that heading. I can only seem to get Heading Hold to work on the current heading or LNAV, but not just a directional hold. Maybe it's not an option with the 737NG, but I know it works on the -400 and 777, so I thought it would work on this Boeing as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.MickeyKLAS

Hi all,We are making good progress on the VNAV problem. I intend to deliver the patch to the whole beta team tomorrow or Saturday.I hope it should then not be too long to release. No date yet.I have already had quite a few VNAV lovers fly the fixes since a week or so and they are rather happy.Of couse, the ND VNAV deviation indicator is fixed as well. Not only that, it will realistically display at all times during descent, whatever vertical mode is engaged - or not.- TOC TOD calc, predictions have been fixed.- 10000 or whatever start of decel is no longer based on distances forecast but on actual alt.- VNAV SPD descents have been correctly implemented, and are a bit easi…

I turned the A/T off and wanted to finish my approach manually. I was in VNAV when I turned the A/T off, but VNAV remained lit and I could not engage SPD. However, if I turned the A/T on, I could engage SPD, and then when I turned A/T off, SPD remained lit as desired. Basically, I wanted to dial in my final approach speed of Vref+5, and I could not do it without the A/T engaged. That does not sound right.Lee Hetherington (KBED)

AnthonyI've just noticed that the long thread regarding problems using VNAV on the FMC has been removed.Does that indicate that a solution/patch update is now available that covers this problem? Thanks for the help.Toni.

Just got the 737 yesterday and how do I import a 2004 flight plain into the FMC on the aircraft?????Please help and thank you

The inbound course of this holding is exactly the heading forthe next waypoint. When you are now tracking the inbound legand then exit the hold to proceed to your next waypoint thereis no need to make any heading change in this example. Butlook how weired the FMC is handling that. Doesnt make any senseto me. I am confused.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/29974.jpgDavid P.EDDW

Hey guys, I was wondering if some talented painter would want to take on the job of painting the 737 in Delta NOC or NNC with out winglets. I know they don't operate the 700 but I think it represents their 300 pretty well. If there are any takers I'd appreciate it!-Kellan
