Hi everybody !Can anyone tell me of the GoFlight cockpit products are compatible with PMDG737NG ? As I understand it, some functions are and some aren't. I like to buy some of there products like the GF-166, GF-MCP, ..., but if they do NOT work with the (outstanding) PMDG737NG then...!?Perhaps the oncomming "Keyboard Event Handler" can add some functionality here ?? I shure hope so !Happy Flying !Paul

Here is a post that was posted in the PSS forum after someone commented that the lights on the PMDG 737Ng were spot on...>I have the 737 and agree it is remarkable>however, it does not have flexing wigs>this feature greatly complicates the lighting effectSo how about it?In real life do the wings on the 737NG flex? If so then why don't we add them to future packages or are they already planned to go into the future models?Just something i'd really like to see in the future.Happy Flying

I did a fresh install of fs9 last week. I installed the PMDG737 and then downloaded the 1.1 full patch and installed that! My aircraft loads and flies fine but I have no PMDG load editer in my start menu or in my pmdg folder in fs9!Any ideas?

According to my 737NG notes and diagrams, the Equipment Cooling Supply fan is normally powered by 115Vac Xfer Bus 2 and the Exhaust Fan is powered by 115Vac Ground Service Bus 1 (which gets it's power from the 115Vac Xfer Bus 1). In PMDG, it seems to be the other way around. Is this optional?http://members.ozemail.com.au/~b744er/737/Bus2Off.jpgAlternate modes also seem to be back to front, power-wise. My notes tell me that the Altn Supply fan should be powered by the 115Vac Xfer Bus 1 and the Exhaust by 115ac Xfer Bus 2.For info. The Equipment Cooling Supply fans blow air into the cooling system. The Exhaust fans suck it out.Thanks.Cheers.Ian.

Just for fun I tried the following (see pic):Shouldn't this have some effect on the aircraft's behaviour?:+ GreetingsThomashttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/39123.gif

According to the wiring schematics for the Packs, if the overhead Pack switches are in AUTO, the Packs will go from Low flow (when the airplane is on the ground) to HI flow when both engine bleed switches are selected to OFF (engines running or not).I can't see the ...er... "logic" behind the Pack logic.... Why would it do this?Thanks.Cheers.Ian.P.S. On the ground, the engine bleed switches seem to be left on at all times (at least that's the impression I get from my limited exposure to NG's).

Will I be able to purchase a CD version for the 737NG with the upcoming release of SU2?? I haven't made a purchase of this aircraft yet and was wandering if it would be all-inclusive (patch-wise) that is and thus avoiding the dreadful patching the original etc. etc.It would make my life alot simplier since I'm not that computer literate...Anyone know this answer to this question at this time?Regards, jack noullet

Sorry if this has been mentioned before.I have just been checking some UK SIDs one of which uses an NDB with a frequency of 433.5 but see that the 737NG ADF will not tune in decimal values, unless I have missed something.I admit I have not noticed NDBs use anything other than 'full' frequencies but since I have found one I'll bet there are others :-)Is this a known 'problem' or have I missed a setting in FS9?RgdsDave

Hi folks again...well slowly getting there with FSBUILD and the PMDG aircraft. However I have this strange thing happening when I reach around 30,000 feet and upwards. Basically at what ever height the vapour tarils start I get the normal vapour trail as per a real aircraft leading straight back from the engines. :(However there are two additional vapour trails leading back from the engines and then falling below the aircraft until they touch the ground / surface . Any ideas as to whats up and has anyone else experienced these problems. :)It doesnt affect anything at all just looks odd and not realistic. :(Juan JAGGlasgow BA Technician Engineering :)

Hi,If it's not too late, could you please add click spots to the Throttle quadrant, CDU and radio panel so that you can "close" them directly (rather than having to, say, use the right mouse button to close the window, or click the appropriate icon). Thanks, Bryan

First off....THANK YOU to Tim and the entire PMDG crew for the best virtual flying experience yet! (And I've been flyin' PC's since Bruce Artwick's original sim). I took my first flight in the Ng today, from KPDX to KMSP....everything worked perfect! However, I need a "mini-tutorial" on combining FS 9 ILS ATC and the FMC. I did research and learn how to use pln2rte to convert the plans. Here's what I did....Selected AC, created FS ILS flight plan, converted to FMC format, initialized FMC, loaded .rte plan; got ATC clearance and RWY assigment, entered those. The only big problem was, how do I know which SID/STAR to select since FS9 ATC doesn't assign one? Or do I just not …

Not sure what happened, but Somehow my .cfg file has gotten corrupted. When I use the "Shift-Enter" method to toggle the views up and down I get huge changes, almost 45 degrees a click. I remember someone had a fix for this in the aircraft config file. Can someone instruct me on how to make the up down increments a little tamer (smaller and graduated)? Many ThanksCarl :-hmmm

Hi there!I have started to repaint the 737NG as seen on the Paris Air Show.To see what I mean, have a look at these pictures at airlines.net:Picture-ID's 192770, 192060 and 191915I have searched the net up and down looking for a good picture of the writing 'Building on Success' in order to paste it into my repaint. But I couldn't find any.Does someone have an advice, where I could get it?:-hmmm The rest of the repaint is almost done.RegardsThomas

Hi folks,I think you all love to discuss the FMC VNAV Descent modes. I picked up the following question from a 737NG computer based training lesson for pilots. You are on a VNAV Path Descent and you shall cross XXX at 8000 and YYY at 6000. Which statement below is correct?1) The FMC will command an idle thrust descent to cross XXX at 8000. After XXX, the FMC will command increased thrust and level flight until the idle thrust descent path to YYY.2) The FMC will command an idle thrust command to cross XXX at 8000. After XXX, the FMC will continue the idle thrust descent to 6000. Then FMC will command increased thrust and level flight until YYY.3) The FMC will command an idl…

During the FMC setup in the tutorial we find the trim computed, and you say to set the trim. How do you set the trim?? I see the trim to the left on the throttle quadrant. Thanks,Don

navdata OBS true not mag>The gauge is unable to find magnetic variation information in FS2004>can't find yourFS9folder/Scenery/BASE/Scenery/magdec.bgl . Make sure it is there and restart FS9.This msg pops up when the sim first loads.PSS apparently had this problem too, and they suggested moving magdec to scenery file. But this does not work. Everything is installed correctly, no corruption in install files, etc. I WANT THIS TO WORK BECAUSE I PAID FOR IT!!!!How can I solve this problem? Then, if I select the PMDG planes once the sim loads up, the sim crashes, and restarts..I WANT TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM. I have had the software and paid for it for over a month now...…

i just like to know in the upcoming patchwhether you will fixthe altitude constraints, for example, i cannot assign an altitude constraint such as "15000A" "15000B"i.e at waypoint BSR cross at 15000 or Above or cross BSR at 15000 or Below, this is fundamental to the 737 and navigation and i can't understand why this was left out.

I'm trying to go through the Tim Metzinger tutorial (Thanks Tim!) and I'm stuck on takeoff.Everything has gone well so far, expect when I "Armed the Autothrottle" on Page 36 Before taxiing. When it was armed, I couldn't use the Joystick to throttle up.I'm now sitting on the End of runway 24, Autothrottle is ON, Speed is set, but Aircraft is at Idle. How do I kick in the Autothrottle? I can takeoff manually, then hit the autothrottle, but when I do that, the engines spool down and I crash. How do I solve this? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hello,I just finished my first repaint ever. It's a fictional repaint of the PMDG 737-700 NG in Lufthansa colors.Lufthansa doesn't operate the NG at all. So in reality the aircraft on which the repaint is based is a 737-500.Any comments very welcome and I hope someone likes this paint scheme !UploadID is: 125275Best regards,Patrick Baerhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/38934.jpg
