I tried posting this earlier but I do not know what happened.Basically I am in the process of constructing a SID/STAR file for LIPZ (Venice Tessera). It is the first time that I am doing this so of course I got errors initially, which I was able to solve given time. I have now come up on a stumbling block. Below is the section relating to SIDS. The first SID, VIC5A, works fine. VIC6A has been giving me grief for the last 12 hours. The SID displays the correct path when in plan view until it gets to the point where, after turning to intercept the 023 radial inbound to CHI you have to maintain the hdg until 20 dme inbound CHI. Hey guys..I have updated the last navdata rotation and now I have no more SIDs and STARs at eham.. Also The FMC cant find some of the old navpoints anymore.. (refso timex and more..) after a new navdata rotation do I have to do something in the FMC to change to the new data? I see the correct date in the FMC though. ALso I tried to solve the problem by downloading the latest SID/STARS and unpack them in my FS9K folder. But no succes.. Do you have a Idea what iam doing wrong?

Hello!Searched the forum for this subject but didn't find anything, so I decided to start a new thread.A few minutes after takeoff last night, I engaged the autopilot and the plane suddenly pitched up (very rapidly) to about 20 degrees. I couldn't control the pitch until I engaged VNAV which solved the problem.I had set up all LNAV and VNAV information correctly, armed the A/T and engaged FD before takeoff, my MCP SPD was set to V2 + 7 and I used 22k derated takeoff thrust.I don't see a reason why this happened since I only engaged the A/T, not any pitch mode.Regards,

The PMDG 737 is the greatest 737 built in the history of flight simulator. And I mean that will all seriousness. However, an important part of flying is fuel. I cant find realistic fuel burn data anywhere. So my suggestion to the PMDG team is to look at PSS. They release a fuel calculator based on aircraft type, cruise altitude, reserves, total distance, etc. with all of their aircraft. I love this feature because it makes fuel calculation 10 times easier and more realistic. This is just a suggestion to make the already superior PMDG 737 an even more superior aircraft package. Is there by any chance a fuel plannner in the making or are ya'll thinking about puting it…

I wonder if these are NG specific or company options or simply just errors:- the AP disconnect sound. Shouldn't it be played in a continous loop? On all other Boeings this is the case. The 737 Classic's AP disconnect warning is also played continously.- the yellow FMC P/Reset light/switch on the main panel. Shouldn't it extinguish if you clear the FMC generated scratchpad message on the CDU?And two suggestions:Will we have an AP disconnect and A/T disconnect switch in future?I mean the AP disco switch on the yoke and the A/T disco switch on the throttle levers.Then the red warning lights wouldn't flash forever on the main panel (I know you can click 'em) but that's normal…

When I takeoff, using Flaps 10, the Flaps 10 Bug on the MASI sits at a particular airspeed. When I retract the flaps to Flaps 5, the Flaps 5 Bug sits at the same airspeed. Hi there!I've downloaded the latest SIDs/STARs database (0309) but many European Airports are missing. Like Orly (LFPO) or Porto (LPPR) for example. Tim or anyone....I assume your references to ATC in the tutorial are not actually coming from FS9, correct?If we created the tutorial's flight plan,(that we are entering into the FMC), in a pln format and enter it into FS9, will we then be able to communicate with ATC?Sorry about that long confusing sentence....hope you understand.Thanks,Don

Hi Guys,Im trying to get to grips with the aircraft and find im having lots of problems. The latest is the FS( ATC demanding that I climb and maintain 18000. That was my selected cruise to EGCC (manchester ) from EGNT ( newcastle ). I know the default transition is 18000 so left it at that although in the UK its normaly 6000. Ive set my flight plan in FMC, took off using the TOGA, climbed etc to my altitude, switched to 29.92 at 18000. Then hear constant messages telling me to climb to 18000. I decide to try using the actual barometer ( using active sky wxre ) the aircraft adjusts altitude accordingly, then the blighter at ATC comes back telling me to climb to 18000! Ive …

I have been having a problem with my plane turning into a ghost when I am ready to pushback. By the time I get my FMC programed and get the ok to pushback I go to an outside shot and the entire body of the plane is a gray color with no detail. Usually the tail still shows Southwest or American but everything else is gray.I also noticed that most of the AI around me is also gray. I have most of my settings kicked up on high. I figure with the system I am running it should take it. Hey I love to fly the United Airlines paint scheme but my one problem with the current one that is on avsims forums is that the windows are different than any other repaint... They are really white-ish. I was wondering if someone could either fix the windows so the look like all the other repaints or if someone could paint a United Shuttle (white color scheme or the cursive "shuttle") That would be amazing!!!Thanks,Billy

I recently bought the B737NG and I love it to heart. When I try to put data into the FMC such as the airport ID like Fresno KFAT. It says "not in database". I downloaded the PMDG 737TNG SID/STAR - Updated 06sept03 posted on the PMG webpage. Now where can I put this file in order for it to work. Is this the only file that I need? What elaso do I need to do? Any gentlement out there can assist will be much appreciated. I've been flying Flightsim for about five years now and had used the Pheonix Simulation B777 and B747 before so I knew a bit. Thanks much. NaoPao,

Hi guys, sorry if this has been asked before, but how well is cws modelled in this version of the 737? I was experimenting with different climb techniques recommended by Bill Bulfer, and one uses cws. According to Mr Bulfer, when you deselect VNAV the cws indicator will come on, which it does, and as long as the AP is in CMD mode you have level-off protection. I tried this and it didn't work, the plane began to slowly pitch downwards instead of automatically leveling off. I remember using cws in Falcon 4, and it works the same way. Is CWS on the agenda for su2?cheersant
