Not really a problem, but here it goes:I have been experimenting with some of the sound files in the 737TNG sounds folder.Once I changed the speed og the sound file PMDG_80knots.wav but I did not save the file after the change; of course I did not intend to change the speed and keep it.I don't know if that event has any influence on my problem which I have discovered now. If it is not a problem, it is at least a strange behaviour:Sometimes when I play the file PMDG_80knots.wav in Media Player, the sound becomes slow (wweeiightywwootss) or quick (eitinutz). Then again, sometimes it is normal speed (eighty knots) ?? It does not happen to any of the other sound files.I have …

Will someone have a look who flies the 737 and tell me where I am making my mistakes. Have used a file called cdutrm0310.zip which has all th sids. These seem to be different than the Jepp charts I have - but the Jepp charts could be out of date.

Folks,A while back I made a post about not being able to use the autopilot to lock on to a LOC/BC approach. Several people clued me in that the way to fly this approach would be to:Fly it by hand, or;Use the FMC to create an overlay while monitoring raw data.So today I decided to try it again.I successfully hand flew the KPTK ILS 9R approach, went missed and attempted to hand fly the 27L BC approach.Here's a screenshot of the ADI and NDhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/37550.jpgThe problems here are:1. Hi Guys,Am I doing something wrong?Try as I may, I cannot seem to enable any failures within the 737/PMDG menu.I can enable failures within FS9/2004 which are fairly general, but for example minor/specific failures EG window heat failres or any failure related specifically to the NG just won't work.I'm new to Fsims but have over 4000hours on 727 IRL and half a 737NG conversion under my belt too.(What a fabulous simulation this is BTW!!)

I was trying to fly the tutorial from Fred Clausen when I ran into a snag. It really has nothing to do with Fred's tut. though.Fred recommends clearing all the PAX and CARGO from the load manager. Then moving to PWR, APU, and FMC programming. When I reached the Takeoff data screen and clicked on the V1, VR, V2 Line Select Keys, I got the following results.Can someone offer and explaination as to the cause of this? THanks,SCott

this sim is getting to be a real pain i still cant get the sids data to show in the fmc stars data shows up fine all the files appear to be where they should be i downloaded both the navdata and sids data from the avsim forum no luck should i just delete and reinstall the 737 product?????????

Thought of a couple small things which would be nice to add. They're small enough that perhaps maybe they could make SR-2?1. When you click the button (sorry forget the exact name of it) to change to standard alt setting a .wav plays saying something like 'transition altitude set and cross checked'. PS1.3 does this.2. The ability to have to click only one button that will generate random failures throughout the entire plane, rather than having to individually select each failure.3. A small "Wizzard" type program that making modifying and creating SIDs and STARs, etc., do-able via pointing and clicking. Just my two cents.-Bryan

Hi all !First of all i must say that i love your aircraft. After the pain with the latest PSS Airbus A330 and A340 release it is a realy plessure to fly your 737-700 with success and without any big problems. Now to my question.... how can i reset the FMC in a "Turnaround" without switching engines and batteries off ? When I'm running the APU, the flight deck is quiet- no sound of flowing air at all even with the packs on. Witht he engines off, this is a fairly major ambiance item, however by no means nessecary :) I'm not expecting to actualy hear the APU as it is some distace behind.Tim

i am trying to fly the fmc tutorial flt from st louis to charlotte however when i program the fmc with the departure airport i get an error message no.35 also no sids data for this or any other airport is available im sure i have the sids data in the right location also i am using the sids data that i got from the avsim forum just like everyone says to please help al mathsen

Fellow Captains,I've been annoyed by the discrepancy in volume of the "system" sounds like the engines, radios, etc, and the various PMDG-specific sounds like altitude callouts and GPWS warnings.I've uploaded 737tngquiet.zip this afternoon, which has all the sound files at adjusted volumes.Enjoy.

I yesterday had a major hard drive failure and lost everything, including the e-mail containing my PMDG reg details for getting my reg back.I have just read on the site that I cannot get anything back at all??? I have to pay again??? Is this right?I sincerely hope it isn't the case...Graham

Hello,I have the following problem:As described in the topic, the navaids have wrong positions. For example, when I'm standing on St. Louis Airport, the plan shows KSTL about 50 nm away. Also, the FMC flies wrong headings, because it thinks that the course to the navaid is right, but in FSNavigator or FS2004 the heading is wrong, because the navaid is at another position. (sorry for this english, I hope you know what I mean)I'm using the Airac Cycle 0309I have the SID/STARS installed, so I think I have done everything correct...GreetingsMathias

Just a few minor observations about the PMGD Electrical System. Not sure if these have been commented on before.1. The Standby Power Switch in PMDG only seems to have two positions, rather than three on the real 737 (very confusing). 2. Standby Power and Ground Power seem to come on when they are not supposed to: For example in the following scenario...External, APU or Engine power has not been applied (in PMDG) and the park brake is not set (BTW, are wheel chocks simulated in PMDG? :-)). I have the main battery switch off and I've just selected the Standby Power switch from the unguarded position to the guarded position (I assume this is "Auto" as on the real aircraft?)…

Hi all!Just been looking through the PMDG sound folder located in Sound/PMDG/737TNG and came across this sound file, PMDG_hilowchime. All the chimes for cabin, no smoke,seatbelts and mechanic are just a single bong. How can i get this to work for the seat belt signs instead of just the one bong?

Why is there no GPS window for PMGD NG 737-600/700?Or is it that I just cannot find it?Shouldn't there be a GPS in every Boeing 737 in real life?Thanks in advance.Nico
