If this was posted before I missed it, but anyway,While in Heading Mode and after executing a waypoint that I would like to go direct to, the magenta course line is not placed from the nose of the airplane symbol to the waypoint on the ND, but from the airport of departure to the waypoint. This is not right. But if I have Lnav engaged instead before executing my waypoint, the magenta course line will be correctly placed from the nose of the airplane symbol on the ND to the waypoint. Then, if I engage Heading mode again, the magenta course line redraws from the Departure airport to the active waypoint. This is not right. My point is, it shouldn't matter what lateral mode is…

All,I left this flight with the aircraft levelled off at FL350, M0.82 enroute from Stockholm (ESSA) to Manchester (EGCC).When I returned an hour later I found the aircraft had achieved something quite extraordinary. I have absolutely no idea why this should have happened. LNav and VNav were engaged and the flight plan in the FMC was entirely logical. Perhaps the gremlins were smuggled on board?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/38026.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/38027.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/38028.jpgShould the PMDG737-800 be able to stay in the air at this altitude - 23,000ft higher than Concorde? What is keeping it up?Cheers,

Hi all! After take-off with a heavy B737-700 - the GW being at about 160,000 lbs. - the aircraft only managed to climb to an altitude of 30,000 feet with an average 500 fpm from 25,000 feet upwards whereas it should be able to climb to at least 37,000 to 38,000 feet according to the B737-700 performance manual. Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!Best regards,Michael

OK if I have the 0308 I have EGPF and EGSS and if I update I lose them both. Where should I get the very latest update with all the relevant airports etc. There is one file, from the NAVADATA site that has the EGSS and EGPF in the file but it doesnt say how to intall it/ update the Airac that works.I really would like to have the latest AND these tow airports - thats not being greedy is it :)Nigel Thomas-Smith

Hi,I found an unusual behaviour yesterday. I was at FL370 and decided to step climb to FL410. I got up there but then discovered that I was hard pressed to maintain mach 0.76 at FL410, so I decided to step back DOWN to FL370.The climb up to 410 went just fine. I entered 410 into the FMC CRZ page for altitude, selected 41000 on the MCP altitude window and re-engaged VNAV. The engines then spooled up to max CRZ thrust and I climbed fine. Stepping back DOWN was the problem. I entered 370 in the FMC CRZ page, selected 37000 in the MCP altitude window and re-engaged VNAV. Instead of the engines spooling down for the descent, they spooled all the way up to max CRZ thrust …

I had an engine failure due to fuel running out of the center tank. I was away from the computer and when I returned the autopilot, fd, a/t, lnav and vnav at all disconnected. I was able to get the engines restarted and everything except the a/t to re-engage. I tried recycling the autopilot, but no auto throttle. Is there a trick to it? ThanksMike MarzettKDFW

hi all,Well i just spent all weekend tweaking and playing around with FS2004 and PMDG737 to get the VC smooth as possible, (well my target was at 20fps).I finally achieved this by, 1/ Turning the slider down in VC guage from high quality to low quality.andwhat really was EATING frame ratesI decreased the 3D clouds to all 2D only, yes i do not get any fluffy clouds, and my clouds look like FS2000 clouds but it was a massive frame rate boost. Now in major detailed airports like KLAX and KSFO with alot of AI i get 15-20fps and non detailed like YBBN i get 18-20 in VC.Something else i noticed is that AI traffic eats alot of frame rates as well. Now how to fix my stutter problem…

As i now and then travel in the cockpit jump seat, i've noticed that the reverse sound isn't quite real in the PMDG soundset. Actual i find it hard to hear at all. Is it possible to amplify the sound somewhere? It might be a minor item, but the nice sound finishes a nice flight in a lovely way :-)

Hi Guys,Sometimes when flying with VATSIM or other ATC, especially when there's a gaggle of us on the same route, we get asked to offset the route by a few miles. This doesn't appear to be implemented in SU1-1, will it be included in SU2?

From what I can remember from the DF 737 which was a very good model of the FMC and from my DF video. When approaching the various navs the frequencies would be automaticaly selected, but I never did know if you had to manualy select the appropriate ILS frequemcy. It seemed never to work unless you did.Since you put the landing runway into the program why doesnt it select the ILS frequencies automaticaly. Looking at the "real" one there is, as I said, a choice of Auto or Manual. I guess the latter is to over ride the former, in which case its seems as though it should be automaticaly put in.Kind regardsNigel Thomas-Smith

Lets get to it....PMDG Friends!I have disabled Hyperthreading via the BIOS,compressed FS9, and have experienced amazing things. I don't know if I'm dreaming here but, I have seen memory improvements from 100-150MB avg. of free ram rise to well over 650! Anyone else tried this and noticed improvements of incredible magnitude?-Jonathan NelsonSYSTEM:DELL 8300Pentium 2.81012MB RAM120ghz Hard DriveATI Radeon 128MB 8900PRO

Hello all,I had an interesting thing happen yesterday. I was taking off at KBFI the other day, rotated, pulled up the gear and could help but notice that the gear wav(sound) kept repeating itself over an over. Any troubleshooting for this sort of problem. Its quite annoying lol and it also happens when I extend the gear for landing as well. Thanks in advance. -Jonathan Nelson

Hi,I just downloaded the latest NAV DATABASE and discovered that the FMC does not recognize any airport/VOR/ADF/SID STAR.The installation is under FS2004 and WinXP. On another HD, there is still the 737 under FS2002 and there I don't have any problem.By the way, (as out of a 737NG ground engineer's point of view) this add on is incredible realistic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Does anyone have a fix for this snag?Eric

I would like to know how to increase the steering capability of the B737 TNG since it's very hard to perform 180 at the end of the runway even using the differential brake. I have a program (Air Editor) which can edit the .air file of each aircraft but I don't know which value I have to modify to increase the steering.Thank you!

I mailed your support department on the 18th and again today, but still no joy.Is there anyone of the development team willing to mail me or sending me an PM where I should make the request to?Would be appreciated. Thanks,Tino

Hi!!I think i found two bugs: a bug in FMC and an hardware compatibility bug..I hope they will be added in the "to do list" of SU2 if they are really bugs :)FMC:When i try to make a "Direct To" (from LEGS page),if the fix (or NDB,or Vor) is the first of the flightplan, the FMC calculates the direct from the field and not from the plane as it should be (ad as it is for all the others fixes).Hardware:I have a SoundBlaster 5.1 Player, and if i install the lates Microsoft Certified driver (downloaded on Microsoft Update),when i start FS and i load the 737NG i hear an hars sound..it's difficult to describe..I've tried many times before reinstalling the old drivers..Thanx in adv…

I just tried to get more into the SID/STAR language and found a strange problem at the LSZH example file lszh.txt.Look at the SID WIL3A for RNW 32, the text is : SID WIL3A RNW 32 KEEP HDG UNTIL 2 FROM NAVAID KLO HDG 332 UNTIL 3500 NOT BEFORE 4 FROM NAVAID KLO HDG 245 INTERCEPT RADIAL 192 FROM NAVAID TRA NAVAID BREGO NAVAID WILThe problem seems to be in the part "UNTIL 3500 NOT BEFORE 4 FROM NAVAID KLO", which shall mean : "at KLO 4 DME or 3500ft, whichever is later". Look at the FMC, the program puts the (3500-KLO-4) point at 7 NM (!!) after (KLO-2), because it obviously calculates to reach the 3500 ft that late (manually flown I reach ot much earlier). What comes then (…
