Ok ,:):)From reading all the various messages up on here I think I can safely say that I know little about flight planning however I do know the basics and by going through the Tutorials a bit more with FSBUILD ill be flying high soon... However ?Once ive made the flight plan in FSBUILD 2.0 THERE IS NO OPTION under the export tab for the PMDG 737-600/700 . Theres one for the 757/767 but not this lovely 737. Plus Im trying to find where my saved flight plans in FSBUILD are sent to but cant seem to find a single flight plan i.e to simply copy and paste into another folder. Im gonna start reading through the manuals a klittle bit more but so far I cant seem to work this one …

>Hello there folks,>>I use keyboard shortcuts to do some actions like changing HDG>and course values, but in the NG these shorcuts dont seem to>work at all. Im talking about the standard FS2002/2004>shortcuts (setting -> assigments menu).>>Any tip or trick? :)>>Eduardo TonettoYes - the current PMDG doesn't support it, but the ability to assign keystroke combinations to MCP/EFIS etc is coming, and i think it's in the next update, SU2 - there's a thread about it at the top of the forum.

1) Is the desc and climb rates usually fixed, or they are dynamic and depend on height/speed?2) If usually fixed, what is that rate for climb and desc. if dynamic, what is the max rate of desc/climb?3) How do pilots manage slowing down during desc? spolilers? reducing rate of desc? Seems even with spoilers, speed barely goes down at 2000 rate.4) Suppose I am 10nm out of runway, at 200IAS, at what distances do I reduce speed and lower flaps until I am at V Landing speed?5) What is the usual alttitude for 300nm flights? Thanks in advance.

Why is there no cockpit enviroment sound of the fan/air conditioning when it is switched on. Ist this not very much a feature of the real aircraft?Neither is there sound of the APU spooling up/running.Can these issues be addressed or are thay not feasable to address?I did like the sound of the V1 rotate and V2 call outs on take of. Very good. And with all the other call outs I would have thought the two or three I have suggested would have been very little to add.BTW we still have no verbal warning of close aircraft proximity. - Just a thought :)Kind regardsNigel Thomas-Smith

Hi Tim, I attempted to complete your 737NG Avanced tutorial but ran into a problem trying to fly the pre-VXV HOLD that your had us program into the FMC. It seemed the 737 could not follow the sharp pattern even with 2-minute legs, and this resulted in the aircraft actually flying a considerable distance away from the planned HOLD pattern. It seems strange that an aircraft would be placed into a HOLD while flying at FL310 @ M0.755. It simply doesn't make sense if the purpose of the HOLD is simply to buy some time. This is an excerpt from an article related to x-minute turns and the required bank angle. Of special interest is the section which states that 2-minu…

I would like to be able to have a FMC route AND use the Adventure compliler for IFR flight that comes with FS9. However if I use FS Build - or any other generator of routes and use that for the FMC data I cnnot follow the guidance given by the generated MS IFR flight controllers. What I need to be able to do - Not sure about this, even if it would work - is to import the generated MS flight plan back into the format recognised by the PMDG FMC.Is there a program that can do this? Or, is there another way od getting the same result?Hope the foregoing makes sense. In short I want to use the MS ATC to accept the guidance given by the FMC. Currently, they say go one way and the…

Hi all!Just a quick question. I was doing a flight from YBBN to YPAD the other day and went to bed in the middle of the flight, saving it of course so i could continue the next day. When i loaded the flight, i had lost all my FMC route info and the autopliot was off etc. Is there anyway way of saving a flight and being able to load it back up without losing all your FMC flight info? If it makes any difference i was flying a jet airways IFR flight using the Fs2004 flight planner and then converted it and loaded it into the FMC.CheersBeau Jackson

Is it just me or are the landing lights way to bright? I find myself not using them because it is difficult to see anything in front of you when the're on. The taxi lights also seem a bit too bright, although not as much as the landing lights. Will this be addressed in a future update?-John Gaffney

Any have any ideas how to fix this problem? After I start the APU & switch turns on the APU generator bus switches all the displays (PFD, ND etc) go black in a minute or so. This problem began when I tried to start the plane from a cold & dark cockpit which I obtained by opening another plane first, a Cessna 172, & shutting down its engine & electronics - as per a suggestion from another posting - since then, nothing but problems. And I tried to reverse the procedure but the problem remains. Help

I've seen quite a lot of posts about runways, but probably not all so if this has been covered I grovel. What I'm concerned with are the runways which are in the Nav database but dont show up in the FMC. It simply doesn't pick them up.An example - today I made a flight from Manchester UK EGCC to Schiphol EHAM. The FMC acknowledges that Manchester is an airport but when I look at DEP it has no runways listed at all, although these are included in the database. OK I enter the active in the route page - no problem. At the other end, I'm cleared to Ry 1L - check the ARR page, 1L is not included in the 3 pages of Rys, nor is 1R.I got the same thing flying from Luton UK EG…
