Why is their no option to save a flightplan in the FMC? I Think The already great 737 could really benifit from this option.

Hi all,I think I found the reason why some of you have good frame rates and others don't. It's simply a metter of using the panel icons to switch views, instead of using the keyboard to go to zoom view.When you use the panel icon, the panel view is REPLACED by the newly selected view. If you press shift 3 to get the zoom wiew, the view is ADDED on top of the main view (for example). In the first case, FPS stays about the same, in the second case, FPS is divided by two (there are two panels to calculate, and I suspect there are two instances of the code running).Also, setting the gauge refresh rate to something around 10 (instead of 20) does make a big difference in FPS, b…

When I go to VC panel, all main HSI EHI and PFD will not display. If I hit the popup for those, that works. Should I not be able to see those gauges in VC???Bill M

When I am programming the FMC, how do I kno what to make my route?

There was a discussion a few weeks ago on this forum regarding External Power and how you didn't need the battery switch ON to keep External Power hooked up (not so on the Classic). What isn't clear is whether you can also apply External Power without having the main battery selected ON???If you can't, I'm having trouble understanding the Boeing Wiring Schematics (I suspect a diode has been missed from a diagram). For the Avionics guys... and those with easy access to real Dead Ships.... Wiring Schematic Diagram 24-41-11 shows that the solenoid of the external power contactor can get power from the section of wiring between the external power socket and the External Power…

I've searched the forum but I can't find any sollution to this problem. The thing is that when I start my aircraft it's nice and quite, the STBY PWR switch is in ON position. If I flip it to OFF nothing special happens but when I flip back to ON again a terrible noice starts to play and nothing but turning STBY PWR back to OFF stops the sound, but in OFF position all the whole class cockpit goes dark.I've read that the sound is some kind of air conditioning sound, but I think it's way to loud, I won't even hear my engines spool up when that sound is on. The sound appears in 2d cockpit, spoy, VC and tower view. Not even pressing "Q" (no sound) gets that sound away. This h…

HelloSince today I get a FMC progam error when I try to setup a route. It doesn't make a difference if I load a flight plan or enter a new one from scratch, as soon as I perform an init and want to select the depature data FMC turns blank and displays "program error" in the status line. The same operation worked dozends of times before.I have the current Nav data and SID/STAR information. The only system change I did before it ceased working was installing the ERJ145 panel (incl. fssound.dll) for FS9 from project-erj.com.I tried to reinstall PMDG 737NG (removed it with the tool before), without success. Ok everyone...I have tried the tutorials, tried reading the manual, tried everything i can possibly think of...and I still crash on takeoff. Problem: The autothrottle decides to slow to like 120 knots after I take off and I sink and crash.What I do:Program the FMC with sid/star t/o data V1 spds are automatically selected. I turn on autothrottle, hit to/ga and as soon as I lift off the autothrottle starts reducing thrust to around 120 knots. What am I doing wrong? If someone could help me out by either walking me through on AIM my name is Lt Bigdog18799 or trying to help me out here I would greatly appreciate it because I want to fly this bird from SFO to the moon!!!Brian

Will the differences be radically different between the various versions, will it be like a deluxe version I.E more features if so will we be able to upgrade the current version to all other versions or will it be three completely self contained versions with not all features working in all versions.i understand that tcas etc may be included in the new versions will this then be enabled in the current version?Thanks

Anyone else get this error? Sorry if it's been mentioned before.Load a saved Company Route into the FMC.The route then appears properly on the FMC.But then try to select a SID, and you get a 'Program Error' message on the FMC.I tried loading the SID first, and then loading the saved route. All that happened was that the SID was deleted, but at least there was no Program Error.Can Saved routes not be used in conjunction with pre-programmed SIDs?-Bryan

Hi Folks:After installing my new 737NG in FS2004, I have lost my ability to connect to VATSIM via SBrelay, Squawkbox and SBhost.The message I get is something like: "squawkbox.exe has encountered a problem and must be closed....."The plane was installed following the instructions and it flies OK off-line.I have no problem connecting FS2002, or FS2004 with any other aircraft.Any help will be appreciated.Roberto

I have a little problem with the Route page, not sure if it has been mentioned already. Just for quick testing, I used the following Route (incorrect approach to LIEO, but doesn't matter :)) :EDDF RID ANEKI Y163 NATOR UN850 ODINA UM727 SRN UM858 MINKA CORSI MIN1A LIEONow the Route page looked complete as programmed until ANEKI (DIRECT Waypoints). Then on the Y163 Airway to NATOR at every waypoint passed one entire line in the Route page got deleted (although AIRWAY Lines !). In the above picture you see the plane shortly before NATOR with only three more Route entries. Three waypoints further the entire second ROUTE page is empty. I know this may be a bit off-topic, but after reading through the forum and seeing that many others are using FSBuild with the FMC, I was hoping someone could send me the 2.1 update (patch) file to make FSBuild fully compatible with the FMC. I purchased FSBuild 3 days ago, e-mail requested the update from Ernie, but haven't gotten a reply. Only reason I'm asking here is that I am very soon to lose my 'net access for a year as I go overseas and would to have everything compatible and running before I go. Initially I thought the T/D point was too close requiring, on average, high descent rates if using the Vnav path. It is not unlike the PMDG 737 to rush down if initiating a descent from TOD. If not, a more liesurely descent can be initiated.Well anyway, I am rushing down to pick up ils 22L on a flight from Pheonix to Detroit, can finally stabilize out, gear down, begin to put flaps out and pick up the loc and g/s for an autoland.The FMS predicted 10,000 on board at landing and I chose an appropriate VREF of 30 degrees flaps. While intercepting the ils with a pretty good crosswind I got established on the final approach and expected a nice smooth landing into the Detroit …

Just did a upgrade to WinXP reloaded PMDG737 all ok but for one small thing On the PFD the Autopilot mode CMD only shows CM Any ideas ?Not a biggy not shure why I am missing the D CheersSimon Ward

Are there any other approaches available within the PMDG package eg VOR/DME or ADF etc.I tried to fly to FARO LPFR being very familiar with the place IRL. The Map with FS9 only shows the runway availability. IRL the are vor/dme approaches there. The FMC actually shows ILS freq 109.50 although you don't receive it on the PFD. Are the approaches a function of the standard database or an add on for use with the PMDG737NG?TIA
