Hi,Yesterday, I downloaded the PMDG 737NG A/C and it seems great. But for some reason the sound of the engines gets "corrupt" when in external views and it seems like the problem gets worse the longer the distance to the A/C is (ie when I zoom out). When I'm in the cockpit or in the virtual cabin I have no problem with the sound?Anyone experienced this and how a good cure for it?This is my config:FS2004 running on...P4 3 GHz1 GB RAMSB Audigy 2Creative GeForce 4 Ti4800All latest drivers for the HW and the SU for PMDG 737NG applied. Also have another question (may be a dumb one since I'm far from an expert on all this) but when I downloaded all the files that should go in th…

Hi,When connecting LNAV/VNAV after take-off, the bird doesn't seem to follow the magenta line. It's way out of track and it makes the strangest movements in the air to get track of a certain waypoint.Anyone recognise this beheviour?I'd like to now what's wrong.regards

Don't know if anyone else is experiencing this, but... every time I use FS2002's ATC or ATIS, patterns appear on my instrument panels in various sections when the ATC window pops up.http://members.ozemail.com.au/~b744er/737/PatternedPanel.jpgMy milk and cookies, by the way, have been checked for hallucinogenics ;-)Cheers.Ian.

I'm sorry if the following aspect has been discussed yet:Airport at see level; fmc reduction clmb-1 thrust, fmc clmb thrust at 1500 feet; flaps 5 t/o, lnav engaged, mcp altitude selector at 10000 ft. If I engage a/p between 400 agl and 1500 agl flight level change engages too, and I red N1 in the a/t modes of the flight mode annunciator, so I presume the plane enters climb thrust before reaching 1500 ft. Is this correct? For me in this configuration the best way to t/o is: starting flaps retraction at 1500 ft, engaging a/p at 3000 (with flaps up) and then flight level change or vnav. Is there a right way to engage a/p earlier in the t/o phase? Thanks.Igor

When I first started exploring the PMDG FMC I noticed that I could program a VOR into the FMC then program another VOR "VIA" a certain airway. In other words the FMC page had room to enter a VOR then another space to enter the Airway number that leads to the next VOR. However, after much scavenging I haven't been able to find that FMC screen again. It was very helpful because the FMC automatically entered the airway's intersections without me having to program each individual intersetion along the Airway. Does anybody know what page I was at and how to get back to it. I can't figure it for the life of me. One day it was there and the next it was gone. Thanks,

Hi, When I engage the autopilot on climbout the elevator flutters up and down and the aircraft does a "purposing act" the whole flight even in cruise. I have SP1.1 installed. Is this a known issue or any way to fix it. thanks for your time, Jase Traylor

Given the unreliablility of the default pushback system, I've been using Rob B.'s pushback gauge for most of my FS9 aircraft. It works very well altho' without any sound. However, I don't seem to be able to successfully add it to the NG. I wonder if anyone else has tried this, or is there some inherent reason why it is not possible to doctor the Panel cfg. to include such gauges.Bud

Hi all,I fly the PMDG737 using Radar Contact as my controller. The ToD using RC occurs earlier than the calculated ToD on the PMDG737 FMC. So when RC orders me to descend I have to comply.Although I'm able to do this via the Des Now option on the Des page the following message is then displayed...http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/39606.jpgI'm unable to clear this message. Even if I want to enter a flight level against a particular waypoint so the descent path is then achievable I can't. From this point on the FMC becomes unusable. Is this a feature of the real B737-700 or is it a bug in the PMDG737? If it's meant to happen like this how can I enter data into the FMC?Cheer…

Hi,Heres what I like to do:1. Program my flight plan into the FMC setting speeds and alts for each waypoint2. Enroute to the runway I arm Autothrottles and turn the FD on, set MCP speed to 250 Kts, Altitude to 1st cleared altitude, and hdg to rwy heading.3. Press the TOGA switch for takeoff power, manually rotate and climb out, go to v2, retract flaps on schedule.4. At this point, I would LIKE to turn on the autopilot, let it manage speed, while I use HDG SEL to follow vectors given by departure, and not blow my 1st assigned altitude as well as the 250 IAS speed limit below 10K ft.5. Once well organized (near or crossing 10K ft), turn on LNAV and VNAV to start the climb t…

Take a look at this code I made for the Osan 1 West departure out of Gimpo.SID OSN1W RNW 32L RNW 32R FIX D323C FIX KIP05 HDG 215 INTERCEPT RADIAL 328 FROM NAVAID OSN FIX OSN25 NAVAID OSN 8000It works perfectly fine, except the 8000' alt restriction does not appear in the CDU. The chart simply calls for "Maintain 8000' until instructed by ATC." Other SIDs/STARs that I've created display Alt restrictions ok.It's just a wild guess, but I'm thinking that perhaps the 8000' alt restriction doesn't show because the Osan VOR is quite a way away from the runway and usually you'd reach your TOC before getting there assuming your alt restiction is cancelled. Maybe the PMDG FMC do…

I was reading some of the posts on how to build a flight plan and load in the FMC. I use Radar Contact and someone said you can use FSBuild to create your flight plan to use in both the FMC of the 737 and Radar Contact. I guess here is where I need the help.I downloaded the shareware version of FSBuild and noticed there are already flight plans installed. I find Nashville to Tampa, highlight, and the build route. What do I do from here? Is there a way to send this flight plan to Radar Contact and the FMC?Oh, I am using the 737-700 for FS9.Thanks for any help. Denny OMurfreesboro, TN

Hey allThx for a great plane and awsome forum with tons of information.I got the FS 2004 some time ago, and deeply missing my 767PIC I finnaly got the 737 PMDG, which I love. Now the earlier framrate issues are pretty much solved for me, so the plane is awsome.BUT there is a serious downside to it all... and that's my problem.I have searched in and out and read myself partly blind in this forum to try fin others with same problem, but no.When I take off, the plan just skyrocket, with VS hurlig up at some 5000+.. off course making it stall. It don't matter what cargo I have, if I fly just to test take of, with or without FMC programmed.I come to the end of the runway, get Ro…

I figured out how to program SIDs and STARs. It's actually quite easy once you've got the hang of it.At any rate, I'm having a problem this bit of code for RKPK (Gimhae Int'l, Pusan).SID NKDG4A.TOPAX.N RNW 36L RNW 36R HDG 350 UNTIL 450 NAVAID KADCK 7000 FIX D230U NAVAID TOPAXThe main problem is this bit of code: "HDG 350 UNTIL 450."(Note that runway hdg is 001, and you're required to make the left turn to 350 immediately after take-off for obstacle clearance.)The problem is that the conditional waypoint (450) doesn't display properly on the Nav Display - it displays the waypoint about 750 feet (approx) **before** of the end of rwy 36, and just a little off to the left du…
