    As I make my way around the globe*, I think my airplane is slowly disintegrating around me...I couldn't quite read the baro readout on the Standby Altimeter in cruise, so I thought I'd dial in a new baro setting to see if that would help. It didn't... the Altitude and Airspeed both dropped to zero and stayed there.     After a two hour online flight close to approach, I noticed I am unable to change any NAV frequency by mouse clicks on the radio panel. Although the +/- symbol appears, clicks have no effect in all frequency fields. Other click commands do work (overhead, FMC etc.). Maybe related: Programmed the flight plan incl. SID/STAR into FMC, I was having both LNAV and VNAV activated and got the message "check MCP alt" and then "unable to reach destination" (or similar) on descend as it was probably too steep. So I programmed a hold in order to orbit to a lower alt for approach, after programming that hold and setting MCP alt to the selected exit alt (VNAV disenganged when programmi…

    Hi!Is there any plans on making some of the ACARS functions availaible in SU2? Especially the weather forecast for the ARR airport would be great, since VNAV PTH descent requires the runway to be selected, and the T/D is normally beyond the FS9 ATIS range.Regards,

    Hi Folks:I have a problem that I need help with.How does one tell the FMC while programming the text file, which of the NAVAIDS to use, when there are more than one with the same name?I want to program a SID that takes the a/c out on rwy heading then after an altitude or distance turns to a heading and keeps it until intercepting a radial from a VOR.Unfortunately, it likely picks the first NAVAID on that page (there are 5 of them with the same name) and sends the SID 4068 NM away :-)I can choose the proper NAVAID when programming a route in the FMC, because It gives me the option to select, but how is this done programming the text file?Any suggestions are greatly appreci…

    hiwhen i switch the standby power off and on (2 clicks), i hear something that sounds like an aircond. or APU or so. is this normal? why do i only get this sound after i switch the stby.power off and on?i ask, because i have the feeling, that i don't hear all the sounds. for example, in the PMDG 737-700 sound folder i found a file called "APU", but APU-sound is not modeled in the PMDG 737NG (i read this somewhere in the formum), so why is it there?is there a list of what i should/should not hear?     Hi!Let me start by thanking for a great product, I purchased the PMDG B737NG a few weeks ago and now it's the only aircraft I fly, everday on VATSIM. I fly in FS2004 and frame rates are good, even though I've heared that this product should be FPS consuming.Well, during an approach a few days ago the ATC told me to turn right to heading 060, I disconnected LNAV, entered 060 and engaged HDG mode. The aircraft started turining, and leveled off, I didn't tink more about that at the time...After a while the ATC asked me to confim my heading was 060 as his radar indicated I was one a 067 heading, I checked the MCU and confirmed that 060 was the heading, but when I checked the …

    This question will very obviously reveal that I am not a pilot :)In these days when we shall save energy and decrease smog. Why doesn't plane go straight on to target instead of following these SID/STARS roundabout way. I can understand the reason before GPS, but now when we have GPS. It should save huge cost.Georg

    Down to mentioning really minor stuff :I use the GoFlight combo GF-166 and GF-P8 to set NAV1/standby, NAV1/NAV2, NAV1/CRS, COM1/standby, COM2/standby, XPDR, ADF.Works great, almost "replaces" the entire radio stack and so a lot less "clickwork".One little problem. If I set CRS from the GoFlight module, the value is correctly changed, visible on the ND. But the CRS indication on the MCP does not change accordingly, it stays on 000. Would be nice if they would correspond then.Mike

    What am I doing wrong?I tried to build a flightplan from KOAK to KDEN in the FMC. I have the latest AIRAC cycle in the FMCWP file in my root directory for FS9 and the sids/star database in that folder in my PMDG file, version DAFIF Cycle 0308A Developed by Terry Yingling. I am using FS9. Here's what I didIn Position INIT I input KOAK as my starting position. Then, in route page, KOAK under origin, KDEN under destination, and I get FMC Error - FMN unknown. Going into the Dep/Arr key area, I have runways and approaces/departures for Oakland, but nothing under Denver.     Hi guys, today I tried the circle to land approach at Nice, and after having a go at flying it on raw data I programmed the route into the fmc using a mixture of pilot defined waypoints and known intersections ( e.g SINRA and DRAMO). I put in the altitude restrictions and set appropriate speeds for each, for instance at SINRA it was 240/6000, and at RIVRU it was 220/2500. I approached the first waypoint at 6000 in lnav and vnav. The plane was at 250knts and didn't slow down at all approaching SINRA. There was also no decel point put in, but there was one before RIVRU. The plane started to decend after SINRA, but at the vnav descent spd of 290, even thought he restrictions…

    Hi All, Have two questions that should pose no problems to the knowledgeable: What category is the aircraft? I am trying to determine the DA/DH to use during approach, but I am not quite sure if the NG is category C (assume A and B are out of the question). D seems too high. Secondly, I am having trouble getting the taxi thrust to work for me. I am using the CH Flight Yoke Pro and have mapped one of the three levers on top to my throttle. I experience that I have to move the lever quite a way in order to get out of idle thrust (that is around 21% N1).     Hi crewmembers,I just installed the FS2004.As the PMDG B737 NG is my favorite, it was obvious that this plane would become standard. It runs very well BUT the only problem is that I do not have ANY navaid or airport avail on the FMC. This means that it is impossible to make any from/to navigation....... Also I noticed that it's impossible to tune the VHF NAV to any frequency. Pls help me on this one, because it is very uncomfortable doeing navigation without the FMC. (meaning that on the ND, it is not possible to follow the flt plan.)Speedrick
