When ever I start from a cold & dark Plane I cannot get the Auto Throttle Arm switch to ARM. I've been following the tutorial listed on the PMDG website! I'm not getting any warning alarms on my takeoff run so the plane must be configured correctly. I don't have this problem when I start the simulation with the Bird running hot!Any ideas?Pete

Precision Manuals stated that After SU2 came out, we'd see the new Liveries on the website. Although there were some posted, it's taking an INCREDIBLY LONG time to get them. What happened to Air Canada, Air Canada Tango, and the Southwest "Shamu" We are all asking for?I Realize that it takes time to make an installer, but once the first is done, it really shouldn't take long for the rest.Any word on when more might be added? Or if time does not permit you, any chance of allowing someone else to work on the project, so we can all Enjoy? Thanks for reading.

Hello all,Just wondering what parameters the 737NG uses when deciding whether to display STEEP DESCENT AFTER ABC or UNABLE DESCENT PATH. Is it a set angle of feet/nautical mile? Just curious, because I am creating an approach for Penticton, BC which calls for a descent of 4,371' in just 7.6 miles (beacon altitude to touchdown elevation). That is 575'/NM. It did it, but warned me of the STEEP descent in advance. One thing I am doing to "help" the aircraft achieve these descents is to slow right down to 160kts with a programmed speed constraint prior to the steep descent. I'm not sure if this is a realistic thing to do or not. I would like to make my procedures as real…

Is it just me or is anyone else getting a real hard time entering airway information into the FMC. I often get the invalid entry, and I suspect it to be some kind of conflict with the fs9 airways and the latest airac cycle...or something?Secondly...I have attached a picture of the PMDG display. Looking at it, could you tell me if it's a headwind or a tailwind. A friend of mine just told me something differently than what I thought was correct.ThanksMikkelhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/56444.jpg

Trying to make a cross the atlantic from KJFK to EGLL I entered the current route taken from glideslope.de, but I got some very weird result s when I entered the fix points over the ocean. From YTT to LIMRI, these were the fix points:N48W50, N50W40, N51W30, and N52W20.The second fix looked right, but the three other points were clearly in the wrong position when looking at the display. Could someone verify this for me, maybe I did something wrong? I don't know if it's fs9 or the PMDG that's at fault.ThanksMikkel

Would someone be so kind to advise me why PMDG does not have a CD version to release?? My understanding is that a German outfit by the name of Aerosoft is planning to release a CD version of the PMDG 737 NG around January 15th !! I have searched the forum and cannot find an answer to this question. Regards, jack noulletkgsp

Sorry if this has been answered before, a quick search did not throw anything up.Once your route has been entered in the FMC it is normal to check it by using plan mode on the MCP.In the 767PIC you can do this before the route is activated or executed. However in the PMDG 737NG it seems you have to both activate and execute the route before you can use plan mode and step through the route. It seems a little odd to me that you cannot check your route before comitting it in the FMC, or am I doing something wrong?TIADave

Hi PMDG team, before of all, many compliments to all of you for this 737 aircraft, the best I've ever flown in Flight Simulator.During a London Heathrow (EGLL) to Brussels (EBBR) FMC flight with cruise altitude at FL210 I noticed that the aircraft, from FL210 T/D to the ILS interception (EBBR runway 02 via ILS02 via KERKY transition via KOK STAR), has difficulties to loose height and speed because the engines remain at a minimum of 35.0 power (instead of IDLE I suppose), also after passing 10000 feet of altitude, where the aircraft (285 Knots of target descend speed in FMC) automatically switches off the VNAV light in MCP panel, switches on the LVL CHG and set MCP IAS at 2…

Hi guys,For flap retraction I often use the VNAV chosen speeds to guide me. That started me wondering about how these speeds are determined. On the CLB page you can see the speed restriction change as you select different flap settings, which, as I understand it, are the speeds the bug on the ASI will move to.With a Vref 40 of 128 I get the following numbers:flaps 15: 158 = Vref + 30flaps 5: 168 = Vref + 40flaps 1: 198 = Vref + 70Now, in my original Boeing FCTM for the NG, the flap maneuvring speed schedule indicates the following:flaps 15 = Vref + 20flaps 5 = Vref + 30flaps 1 = Vref + 50Can anyone enlighten me as to why there is a difference between these two tables? At …

When you start cold & dark the "avionics master switch" is turned OFF. Check your key assignments and assign a key (M) by your control setting. So you can easy turn it ON.--------------------GillyHollandhttp://members.home.nl/g.ensink/FSMBanner.gif

Guys,So we don't get any confusion here, let me start by saying that I think PMDG737 is one of the most visually attractive sims ever, apart from all its other great features. The external model is outstanding and the cockpit is for the most part top notch as well. From day 1 I have been very impressed especially with the PFD and ND, which are very smooth and without the usual jagged edges. They make you want to build your own cockpit :-)However, in my opinion there are a few items that are just slightly short of that perfection. The dials on the overhead panel and the standby instruments are somewhat less clear and convincing than the ND and PFD. To give an example of wha…

Hi!I've had this AC for a short while now and I did the brilliant advanced tutorial by Tim Metzinger. Now I wanted to load a flightplan previously stored in FS, so I converted the plan in question, ESSA-ENGM, with "pln to rte", a nifty little tool... Well plan loaded and activated, all pages gone through and pre-flight complete. Latest NAV databases and SID/STARS, BUT, on the RTE page the right side just shows ---/------ instead of speed/FL at different waypoints in the flightplan... I'm used to the Greatest airliners 737-400 from Flight1 before and there was never any problems with this there... What could be wrong/what am I doing wrong?/Hasse

Hi all,I see that there has been a bit of debate as to weather the B1900 will have an autopilot or not. Well, if you look at Robs second cockpit screenshot, there is a panel just above the attitude indicator with some black buttons. I think that there is a button that says 'AP' on it (top row, leftmost one), which it would not have if it were just command buttons for the FD. Could it stand for somthing else? Not that I will use it anyway;-)Richard
