When in autoland and you have APP selected. At what point do you or do you at all disengage the auto-throttle? Do you just leave it set at your Vref speed and upon touchdown disconnet or what? Thanks.

Every time I slew out of my parking spot both engines shut down. I've also experienced shutdowns on initial descent when the throttle closes. This is happening in both cold/dark and the standard already-on setup.Any Ideas?__Josh

Is there any reason why the engines on the 737 would suddenly shut down. No, I did not run out of fuel and I have the aircraft set up for no random failures of any kind.Any ideas??

Hi,First off, I want to say that this plane is great! Really have enjoyed it a lot. The documentation is great too. But I can't seem to find anything about the IRS section of the overhead panel. If someone can direct me to where it's explained, or explain it to me here, I'd greatly appreciate it. I've always wondered what it's for. I just know it doesn't file your 1040 form with the I.R.S.!Thanks,Mark

Hi guys,I have some problems with the Pitch trim. The effect of the pitch trim is fine, only when I select it to go up, I can only see the little wings at the tail (don't know the name of it) bouncing a bit up. After that it turns to the middle right away. In the other aircrafts you could hold the pitch trim button down; and the tailwings came and stayed really down (so not only a bit!)What's normal?Regards,Steven

Hello Group, First a Happy and Healthy New year to all the folks. Question: Is there a way to save the data one entered into the FMC so that if it is desired to fly the same route the next day or so then one doesn't have to re-enter all the FMC data? Thanks

I just replayed an autoland and watched it from the VC. I was surprised to see the control columns being pulled backwards after the nose wheel had come down. It was nothing I had done, I had pushed my joystick forward to get the nosewheel down but then released it, I definitely didn't pull it back.I've also been wondering about the correct procedure when landing with the autopilot off but with the autothrottle on to maintain Vref+5, and exactly when to disconnect the autothrottle. I found a very interesting thread here http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.ph...&threadid=71973 and so thought I would see if the PMDG 737 autothrottle would behave as mentioned, i.e. th…

Captains,At the current time we have discovered a problem with the 737 download file. Currently, if you attempt to download the file, you will receive a file approx 569kb in size with a zip error. We believe we have identified the culprit and are working to correct it. We will post again as soon as the problem has been repaired. I vaguely recall seeing a previous message on this, but have forgotten what the fix was (if any).I have a periodic clicking sound (perhaps at the end of the Standby Power audio wav(?) file). It's like a small static discharge every 3 or 4 seconds. It disappears when I switch off Standby Power.I recall a similar annoying sound in PS1 for which someone provided a modified wav file (the ends of the file were somehow cleaned up to prevent the clicking).Any suggestions? (I may be able to modify the file myself.... if it is a wav file). All I need to do is find it.Thanks.Cheers.Ian.

APPROACH RNAV.A FIX BOLDI FIX ELSEN 4100 RNW 33 DIRECT LW (etc, etc)Can anyone confirm if this is the correct way to write a non-precision approach? This particular approach has an MDA of 2,100' AGL. Please see the attached image of the approach plate. When I test-fly this approach, I get the warning "STEEP DESCENT AFTER ELSEN". However, it's NOT a steep descent because minimums are quite high (3,500' asl). Descent below 3,500' would be done visually by the pilot, and should be of no concern to the FMC.Roger Precious

I have read the missed approach procedure for an ILS approach, but what about a VOR approach? In the case of a VOR approach, your minimums are typically around 400'agl. When I reach the MAP, I hit the TOGA switch, but the autopilot disconnects! Why won't the aircraft power up and climb? I have to manually reengage the CMD A and select LNAV. Did I just answer my own question?Kenny Rogers

Hi all,Just a question for the Real World Pilots among us,When i fly a VNAV Path Descent and i dial in the Alt on the MCP i have to press the LSK1 on the CRZ page of the FMC before the plane starts the VNAV Path Descent. Is it the same for the Real Planes as well? or do the pilots just dial in the Altitude on the MCP and it is automaticly shown in the FMC as in the Boeing CBT`s and in the Airbusses.TIAToni P.P.s Are the any diffrences in FMC usage in 737-300 ,737-700 etc.
