    Hi All, Have become so used to using the FMC, that I was a little dumbfounded when I had to shoot a standard approach that included a procedure turn. How on earth do I see if I am making a proper 1 minute turn? I guess it is really obvious, but I have simply forgotten how to determine that. Thanks,BoazEKCH

    Hi,Since I live in Australia, where the transition altitude is 10000 ft and not 18000 ft I have set a level of 10000 in the FMC for this to correspond with the norm in Australian airspace. BUT......the value change in the FMC is not obeyed by the sim which means I get these "Altimeter not set correctly.... press B" message windows and the altimeter setting still gets the yellow box at 18000 ft.When the 737 is loaded up cold and dark the sim pops up that silly message "Your engine is not started......"!!!!! ......As if I didn't know!!Any ideas on how to fix these pesky annoyances?Bernie

    If anyone is experiencing a total shutdown after exiting slew as I was I seem to have found the problem from PMDG tech support. It seems that upon exiting slew, the engine fuel valves automatically went to cutoff position. Sure enough, while in flight with engines running, I observed the valves were in the upper position but upon exiting slew, they jumped to cutoff. Before exiting, I put them in run position and all was well. Hope this helps others.;) Regards, Tom

    Can someone please help me. I tried to reach the download area of the PMDG website but can't find the link. I click on downloads, get to Repaint Kits, click and get a detailed description, but when I click on download at the bottom I go right back to the original download screen that shows the download categories. How do I get to the file?? Thanks.

    Just flew on SWA -700 from MHT-BWI-PBI. Almost as real as the PMDG version!!Golly. Again, the PMDG NG rocks. I must say, I have done a few things to increase my PMDG realism.- changing the forward_dir to a 7.5 in the panel.cfg- editing the apprh view to remove the side post, so when i drag the panel down to give me more ove the panel view, she's looking great!- increased the [generalenginedata]in the aircraft .cfg to a -.49 that gives me a more powerful reverse action and the BEST reverser sound in FS!     Don't know if it's a coincidence but since installing official liveries I've had several problems with the 737 and they all happen towards the end of a flight.Examples:1. IFR communications 'lost' just before capturing localiser at Cleveland. Radio frequency control would not work although I could adjust the adf knob. And worse still the localiser suddenly dissapeared off the display.2. Comming in to La guardia was really strange. Suddenly lost glideslope on localiser.3. Night landing at Gatwick could not get the landing lights or taxi lights to work.It's a shame that all these problems happen at the end of well executed flights which really spoils it for me.Anyone else s…

    Hi guys,I got so excited after Robert annoucement that new liveries were out that I downloaded three in a row, the Fedex, Northwest, and both USair old and new colors.Now when I try to load any 737, FS9 crashes. I tried loading the default Cessna first (panel view) and got no problem there, then from there I tried loading the NG and it crashed. So i loaded the default Cessna again and selected the tower view then loaded up the NG again, it loads without a problem until I switch to the panel view, the screen goes black and FS crashes. This happens with all my PMDG "fleet".I tried to change the backup aircraft.cfg but unfortunatelly it still contains some of the new liverie…

    With the two addon airplanes I presently have installed (PDMG 737 and Flt One Meridian) I experience a loud noise that drowns out all sound. Indeed it is deafening. The speakers crack and pop periodically and an intermitant noise occurs that sounds like a wave file of radio static played repeatedly. The noise has no discernable pattern save that it is usually, but not always, prompted by a view change. The duration can be short or virtually unending. I experience no noise and no cracking with the FS planes.I run a P4 2.53 gig machine with 512mb DDR RAM and a GF4 Ti4200 64 mb video card.     Hello DEV team,Was curious if FMC Cost Index functionality was going to be implemented in the 800/900 series. Also, what is a common spd deviation from the MCP setting when using LVL CH? I seem to be in a range of + 5 knots or so during ALT increases and -5 knots during descents. Seems like the Aircraft beings its pitch movement just a few seconds early before it compensates for thrust increases/decreases. All in all, great job on the aircraft. Best available hands down.

    Hi thereI have just purchased and downloaded PDMG737. I have installed it in 2002 and 2004. In 2002 it works fine - a great program. In 2004 I have the following problem. When I load the aircraft all is well - then if I select, say spot view, I lose all the normal sounds and get very loud "white noise". Reselecting other views or to a default aircraft and then back to PDMG does not solve the problem. I have to shut down 2004 and then on restart it may or may not be cleared. Eventually after many restarts it starts normally - but only for a short while.I have no problems in 2002 or with any other aircraft in 2004.I have a SB Live! Value (WDM).     Hi to all flight simmers out there and of course PMDG.Everytime I try to enter an airway in the rte page after having loaded origin and destination airport I get an error message "invalid entry" that doesn't allow me to enter a specific airway instead of the default direct entry.In my case I'm trying to insert UW98 airway until ANC navaid from LIBP.The airway seams to be a valid one but I always get this same message (invalid entry).Am I doing something wrong or is this a known bug?If it is can it be fixed temporarly?   15. HiI recently acquired WorldAirRoutes excellent DVD featuring Helios Airways 737-800's. Watching it, i was slightly supprised at how little use LNAV and VNAV got. It appeared that the SID's were flown manually using the FD not LNAV and VNAV would only get selected in the final stages of the climb to the cruising altitude - level changes being used upto that point.This differs to the various tutorials that i've read that suggest engaging both LNAV and VNAV quite early on in the flight. I suspect that level changes are used due to ATC vectoring to different altitudes, but i'm guessing - any comments on the subject would be appreciated.RegardsGary

    Hi all,does anybody know if there is a way to better tune the engine startup sound ? I mean, after you open the start valve and engine starts rotating, the sound is very realistic but when you select "fuel on" the transition is definitely not realistic: rather than accelerate, the N2 drop for a couple of seconds and you don't hear any sound at all, then everything goes back to normal.In the real world when you open fuel cut off valve, N2 accelerate immediately and sound also becomes louder immediately.Any chance to improve in on the PMDG 737 ?Apart from this very minor issue, congratulations at you PMDG guys for the excellent job you've done.

    Hello again, gents.For my info only! (Not bashing a product I love)There I was trying to set up a flight to London. Checking ATIS I learned that active rwy's was 01L and 01R. Got Taxi clearance to 01L, so I intended to set up this RWY as departure. But!! this runway entry gives me "Not in database". Amsterdam Schiphol is'n xactly a private landingstripe in the bush somewhere.Is it a fictive runway that only exists in Lago's Schiphol scenery, and FS9's ATC)or is the database really this inaccurate?

The only change is a fix for a small but nasty bug that caused the program window to hide itself on startup.     FS9 default ATC does not do justice to the PMDG 737NG. Tim Metzinger's tutorial highlighted the functionality of the FMC by allowing the learner to follow a transcript (either hypothetical or real) of a flight from start to finish. I was so impressed with his tutorial that I would prefer a transcripted ATC above what FS9 offers. I'm fully aware that Tim's tutorial was done in fair weather conditions. My question is: Are transcripted ATC/TRACON instructions available for typical daily SWA flights e.g. KONT to KLAS KLAX to KLAS, KONT to KPHX etc. ? or any other air carrier?Kind Regards,John R.     I downloaded the 737-700 livery yesterday, and I must say that I'm very pleased, except for one thing. The tail logo looks like it's a bit off, it should be bigger imo and placed a little higher on the tail. It also needs to be all white, not showing any of the rudder lines through it.I realise this might be a touchy subject and all, and I'm grateful that someone has taken the time to do this for me and others to enjoy. Some might say well do it yourself then, but alas I'm not a painter and have no clue as to how I might correct this to my liking.Coming from Denmark I obviously have an interest in flying this beauty in my own colors. :)Thanks again to whoever painted it..…

    hello all,firstly i have to say that the PMDG 737 is awesome!!i have downloaded some of the new liveries from the site. i installed them selecting FS2002 as the installation directory (as this is what i am using on an XP machine). when i ran FS and looked under the PMDG drop down for the newly installed liveries they werent there. i checked in the PMDG aircraft folder and all the textures are there.any help would be most welcolmed.regardsWayne Howroyd
