Hi allI have everything turned on and sliders full right in FS9.On average I get 45-50 frame rates with frame rate slider to full right as well. I might set several cloud layers including thunderstorms with visibility turned up full and I still get around 25-30 frame rates. EGLL with fair weather set and I get around 18-20 frame rates. Why is that? Could Ultimate Traffic cause this? and by the way, I am in the PMDG 737-700NG when flying into EGLL.My system specs are:P4 2.8 with Hyper ThreadingAsus P4S800 MotherboardAsus V9900 128meg Videocard (NVIDIA GeForce FX 5800)1 Gig Ram120Gig 7200rpm Hard Drive IDE (Seagate)8 meg cache19inch LG 900B MonitorI run all at 1024 by 768 a…

I'm somewhat disappointed by PMDG's latest choice of product- the B1900.Several developers have in the last few years brought out fantastic commercial jets, regional turbo-props and mouth watering GA planes. One category of aircraft has been neglected, and I can't figure out why. It's the executive jet. There aren't many types, compared to other categories, but they're real beauties. They may be small, but they are powerful and have avionics that can match a 777.I think Abacus did 'Executive Jets' for FS2000, and recently Eaglesoft did the Beechjet 400A for FS2004 . Both products show a half-hearted attempt at realism, something PMDG could have done a lot better. The candi…

They all look great! I especially love the Southwest Shamu and the American AIrlines liverys. I have never painted a plane for flight simulator. However, are there certain liverys which are harder to paint than others? which are they. Just curious. Thanks Again.Robert

Hi Everyone, Im frusterated with FS, not with PMDG but everyone here is helpful so im going to post here. I am running a P4 3.06 with 1 gig ram and ATI Radeon 9600 XT 128 mb vid card and only getting frame rates in the 20's. Can someone please tell me what is going on because I think I should be getting frame rates a little better then this and it is started to bug me when I fly into a place like SEA and there are clouds and my frames drop to like 10 and everything starts to jump around. I fly with PMDG 737 and use Active Sky. Anyone have any suggestions? Also where is FS9.cfg cant find it in my docs or in FS9 folder.

I wrote before about the problem I had when disconnecting AP (after APP mode) on final. The plane would turn to the right. I solved that by not using APP mode and disconnecting the AP early. Yet I seem to have witnessed another problem. When disconnecting the Autothrottle, any movement in my throttle whether it is an increase or decrease in thrust causes me to have a quick jerky yaw-like movement. I notice that the engines are spooling in a synchronized manner too. I then find it hard to get back to a stabilized position. I was stabilized before the AT disconnection. Is there a proper place the throttle position should be when disconnecting so i dont get this? Is…

Hello to all!!!!! I am having trouble with the aircraft maintaining the altitude that I program into the FMC. I use FSNAV to plan a flight plan, then print out the flight plan. To put into the FMC. But, prior to doing that I delete the info from FSNAV and exit out of that program. After I have entered the desired Dep/Arr rwys, and legs. I let the FMC tell me what altitude to set. I then enter that into the MCP and proceed with the flight. After I have attained the crz altitude the plane will level off. But, moments later the a/c will start to climb until it reaches an altitude almost 4000 ft from the programed one. This happened particularly on a flight that I did from KM…

Hi,I have noticed that there is a dotted green line, corresponding to the set course, which seems to appear permanently when in "Map" or "Plan" modes in the NFD.From past experience, I believed that this bit of the display could be toggled on/off, in the same way that other information, such as airports & waypoints could be toggled. However, I can't find a way of removing it from view. Does anyone know if it is actually possible to remove it from view & if so, how? Many thanks,Doug Boynton

Hi guysas i was flying to Barca today(passing by the big european storm... woohooo) i noticed there might be something wrong in the holding entry way.I came up on QUV in the teardrop entry area level 4000ft on local QNH, speed 210IAS(though 230 was recommended by the FMC)the aircraft was still on autopilot(yes call me lazy, ;)) so the aircraft turned to the 'inbound course+150' heading, all went wellat the time we should've started making our RIGHT turn to rejoin R246 QUV inbound, the plane made instead a LEFT turn (a very light turn, bank angle around 15

Having more disco problems that John TravoltaI create a flight plan - take off and fly VNAV/LNAV no problems. When I receive my destination information about rwy in use I use the DEP/ARR page in the FMC to select the runway, no STAR, I put in a 15 nm runway extension, the RX waypoint gets entered with a disco above it and the RW waypoint also gets entered with a disco above it. Select the RX wpt and click in the disco above it and the disco goes - I cannot get rid of the disco above the RW waypoint. What am I doing wrong? Should I get my flares out?ScottYBTL

Dave,I have a number of GoFlight modules, but not so extensive as yours. My set up includes two GF P8s, a GF T8, the GF 45 and the GF-LGT. These work quite well with the NG. Pitch wheel, lndg gear and flaps all work. Pretty well all of the GF 45 functions work. As for the rest, it does depend on what you have allocated. My toggle switches are set for landing gear and lights - all function. Oddly, tho' only one of the two fuel run/cut-off switches work. The push buttons I allocate to various miscellaneous functions and all are working OK. Obviously, however, a number of the P8s are allocated via the new G/F key allocation facility.I have my own MCP unit so I've never…

Curious - Does anyone else stutter while making a turn? While flying straight I have no problems and can't notice and stuttering until I make a turn. My FPS is definetly not an issue as I get well over 25-30 fps while in the air. Could this have something todo with landclass not loading fast enough? I defrag my hard-drive approximetly every 2-3 weeks, have 1gig of 2700 ddr ram, and an ATI 9800pro w/256 ram. Anyone else experience this and maybe have a tip or two ?Thanks,Tony

I am trying to save the Cold and Dark situation from the 737NG Advanced tutorial. The tutorial requests most switches turned off. The problem is after saving the situation the recirc fan, both packs and the bleeds are reset to auto. I also saved the situation with the crew stairs extended and the main cabin door open and both are retracted and closed. Is this a known issue and is there a fix for it.Thanks in advanceG. Green

It would be a wonderful thing if PMDG would provide a panel config, as the folks at FSD do, that would automatically incorporate the Reality XP Jet Line 2 gauges into the new Beechcraft. The Cheyenne 400 LS is a just a terrific airplane to fly with those gauges - I could see this new bird being just as much fun.

Hello PMDG folks ... I've seen mention of the new mini-patch, and I'm wondering if the startup state of the overhead panel switches is to be addressed at all.I noticed that with the 1.2 update, some of the switches are in a different state when the plane is first loaded, than they were in 1.1. I can't remember exactly which ones changed, but I know the L/R/Both ignition switch is now on left, when it used to be on both. Also the APU bleed switch starts out already on (I think ... not at my FS computer right now) and some of the other PAC-related switches are already on too.I'm hoping that with the mini-patch, the switches could all be defaulted to whatever position they s…
