Hi all,As I was reading the cruise planning document and the fuel planning worksheets, I thought it might be useful to have a small utility program to do the calculations for me. So, I wrote a small application which allows me to enter the cruise altitude, trip distance, reserve fuel, and a few other parameters, and it calculates the necessary fuel loadout and sets the tank levels via FSUIPC. Hi PMDG,I'm trying to fly with an FMC flight plan from Heathrow EGLL to Brussels EBBR complete of SID and STAR procedures. I followed the intructions by the PMDG Flight Tutorial (from KDEN to KLAX) adapting them to my course. Everything went OK but a noisy alarm during takeoff after pressing TO/GA.After takeoff, gear up, press AP and have it engaged, press LNAV and have it engaged, press VNAV but haven't it engaged and the FMC continue blinking a message saying that I have VNAV not active... so the 737 does follow the flight plan route but climbs direcly to the target FL altitude.What am I missing? Is there a 737 V1.2 up to date Flight Tutorial?Andrea

Does anyone use the 737 PMDG and Go flight hardware? Are they compatible? I have the GF MCP and was wondering can I configure this with the 737 PMDG CDU/FMS?ThanksAaron

When I installed SU2, I had to delete my FS9.cfg file, and lost all my key/joystick assignments in the process. All are now reconfigured with one exception.I used to be able to use my POV Hatswitch to look left right etc within the 2d cockpit, and the same switch to pan around the aircraft in spot view. Whatever I try now, I can't get it to do this again!What am I doing wrong???:-hmmm Bob Pointer

My PMDG 737NG engines are randomly shutting down on every flight now. This happened after SU2 I think? I'm not sure. I use the new latest FUIPC and Radar Contact 3. I have been flying this 737 since it first came out. I know it pretty well now, including the FMC and fuel management. Now, no matter what I do, the engines just shut down by themselves. DOes anyone have any ideas about this. I am about ready to give up here and go back to dreamfleet. Thanks in advance. Mike Mcbee

Hi Folks:I know this has been discussed before: the airspeed tape will drop to zero, resulting in an annoyance and autothrottle issues for several seconds until it indicates correctly again.I, like many others, just assumed that the problem was related to ising and that the PMDG probe heat switched may not be correctly linked to the FS9 pitot heat.However, today I experienced the issue in clear sky at FL280. I didn't bother turning on anti-ice (probe heat was already on of course), and I just waited. Sure enough it cleared after a few seconds.My concern is that this was in clear conditions, unlike the other times which were in clouds. This seems to be a regular occurr…

Is the proper landing speed Vref or Vref plus 1/2 the headwind speeds?I ask because approaching the runway fully configured and at Vref speeds tends to make the plane pitch up pretty high making it hard to see the approach.Presario

Finally purchased FS9, and when trying to install SU2, I'm getting this error.The file C:...PMDG_737NG_THR_CENTER CONSOLE.GAU could not be opened.I've tried 2 times after running the removal tool and no luck.(The update worked fine with FS2002)

Is there a way to edit the 100 kt default value that exists in the 737 TNG airspeed setting? I would like to increase it to 250 as my new default. And I don't mean by turning the knob. Thanks

Hi all,First off all the best for the new year.Before the update to SU2 there was a levery for Sobelair in the livery section of the downloads. I'm very interrested in a Sobelair livery for the 737-700. Could someone let me know if this livery will be made for the new SU2 version ?I know that sobelair does not own the 737 type but they use the 738 and Until this one will be available I would like to fly the 737 version in sobelair livery.Regards,Peter

I am new to this aircraft - I am flying the 737-700 (SU2) on FS9. This is real basic question but I am a little confused. I want to change altitudes, say from 5,000 to 8,000. I'm climbing through 5,000 and I dial in 8,000 and click Lvl Chg. Is this the same as the FLCH mode on PIC 757, which I believe controls speed as well as VS. Or, am I suppose to dial in the VS? Is there a good place to learn MCP basics? What is the best way to control the aircraft up to flight level aside from uning VNAV. Thanks, Steve Canham

Help!I really love this plane but I'm almost unable to use it do to living constraints and the sounds it produces, mainly the beeping.Is there any way to point me in the right direction on how to disble sounds with this aircraft. I don't want to mute the entire system due to FSHotseat, but that's what I've had to do while I get use to this product. I at least need to know which guage is producing the beeping on taxi.Thanks--Van Holland

Hi,I can't get the spoilers to arm for landing on the downloaded Alaska 737-700 with stairs. I never have a problem with the standard PMDG 737-600 (default aircraft). I am having to manually deploy them on touchdown, and more often than not this leads to a not so nice bounce...LOL.Any idea why this is so?Thanks!Rick Edwards

I have been practicing with the 737 and tried to set up an approach using slew. Everytime I turn on slew and then return to normal flight my engines go out, the panel lights up with all warnings, and I can't seem to restart anything. I end up trying a deadstick landing. What's wrong? Thanks. tom

Hi all, and a happy new year to you all.I have a few questions for the PMDG. I noticed that some guy, can't remember his name, made a modification to the default panel, the top part of it. I realise he can't give this to other people because of the eula, but would it be possible for him to give us the bmp of the top part, and then we could edit it ourselves. I really like his edit and wouldn't mind doing a little editting myself, as I think the default one isn't that good. Hi Seasonal greetings and a pleasing 2004 to all.I really enjoy my PMDG 737'sHowever, the only niggle I have is having set everything up for the take off run, when at rotate speed indicated plus oral notification, I rotate my CH yoke but I cannot rotate until around 40 knots faster!is this normal within the FS contraints or am I doing something wrong. I have setup pitch trim.I would be grateful for any suggestions to overcome my problem.Many thanksBob Wright

Hi all! Hope you all had a good Christmas and New Years! I got an Ariane 737-800 for myself over christmas. I merged the panel and the plane flies very well. I have one question though, a message comes up after take-off in a green line on the top of the screen saying:PMDG NOTIFICATION: Aircraft CG above tolerance levels, aircraft is not flyable!The aircraft actually flies very well. Is there a way to turn this mesage off? Looked in the PMDG menu on the flightsim but could not see anything regarding this. Thanks for any help you can suggest.
