i am unable to set N1 or speed reference using the knob on the main panel. The inner knob in the speed reference selector should set the vref or grossweight , while the inner knobin the N1 selector should set the N1 reference bug in the eicas. With The click spot aside the knobs i can move only the outer knob,so when i select for esamble the grossweight position, then i can't set the value for the grossweight. For the N1 setting the same problem.I don't know if it's a bug or this function is not implemented,Thank for any help or suggestionMaury

I'm trying to do the tutorial found on Avsim, but after setting up the FMC the ATC doesn't recognize the flightplan. The tutorial makes reference to the ATC instructing him based on the flightplan, but I don't even receive the option to file. What am I missing?Tim

Hi there -I know the sounds-in-the-VC issue has been discussed in other posts, and it was from there that someone discovered that by hitting Shift-1 while in the VC, the missing sounds turn on. Just one question: Shift-1 has to be pressed every time you come back into the VC from another view - is there any simple way to modify the windows commands in the .cfg's so that the Shift-1 effect doesn't turn off? Change a 0 to a 1 somewhere? Not a big deal, I can live with things as they are - it'd just be nice. Except for the overhead and FMC, bin' doing every flight completely in the VC.... SU2 is amazing. Thanks,Mike F.

I have only downloaded SU2 a few days back, and due to being sick on Xmas time and traveling for my flying job, I have not yet installed SU2. However, since SU1 and all my repetitive CTDs occuring, as well as problems quitting FS or starting it after saving situations (default ones for sure) I have reinstalled FS9. Actually an entire reformatting of my drive was done. Not just from my fears of PMDG software rendering FS inop, but due to my fears of fsuipc and pfc.dll corruping FS's ability to save modes and or exit, restart.Since then I have followed all the messages etc... seems folks are still having troubles with CTD... yes? Or not anymore. I am considering never using…

SU2, like Mary Poppins, is pretty perfect in every way. I am so enjoying the product, I can't get enough of it. My only request is TCAS. Gotta have that in a modern airliner with all the AI running around out there. Almost got run over by a SAS MD90 landing at Arlanda last night. Wished I could have seen him. Hope TCAS is coming soon.Lee

Bonjour,I never had SU1, I only install 737NG when the patch SU2 was released.I noticed some crash in pdmdgoption.dll offset 1796.I used to load a situation (SITU1) to train for landing without a problem during the past 2 weeks.Yesterday I made a new situation (SITU2) for training to maintain V2+15 during take off and to try different derated mode. No problem to load this situation, but what is strange is now I have a lot of difficulties to load SITU1 and I have systematicaly the crash when i load it on startup FS9 .Now if load SITU2 , I can then switch to SITU1 in certain conditions, unfortunately not reproductible, I only noticed that the plane have to be stabilized bef…

Hi All,The following thread is in my opinion worth reading and more importantly worth some clear explanation from the PMDG development team. Please take some time and read carefully this thread : http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...30490&mode=fullFirst, it would be interesting for all flight simmers browsing through this forum to learn from the PMDG Development team whether it is acceptable that remarks made by users are more than often rebuffed by PMDG team members in sometimes rude ways, at the limit of offensive. In that respect I want to refer to several threads where Mr. Robert S. Randazzo made clear that only civil, polite and qualified posts would find…

Does anybody have experience with the GF-45 unit in PMDG B737?Is it possible to preselect autopilot course, heading, altitude, VS etc. on the GF-45 and get the correct readback on the panel and vice versa? What about altimeter, DME, XPDR, and NAV radios? Also, has anybody had success taking advantage of the SU2 keymap feature to program autopilot buttons sch as LNAV, VNAV, and TOGA to GF-P8 or RP48 buttons?Thanx for any info.

I'm just cruising to PHX right now when my airspeed indicator just dropped to 30. As you can see i'm still doing .788 but it keeps fluctuating between .76 and .81 without any input from me. I just checked and now it says fuel imbalance in the right tank. Any suggestions or explinations for whats going on? thanksJustin P.http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/22204.jpg

Hi all,I'm scratching my head a bit about a certain VNAV behaviour. Not meant as complaint, because at that point I have really no idea what the real McCoy does. Might be correct, might be not.Anyway, here goes : It's the PSA25 procedure into EDDF Runway 25L. Clear weather, no wind. In the first pic you see the legs page from PSA to DF036. 8000 ft at DF036 is in the Procedure text and the 250/11000 restriction at PSA I have entered myself. What you see is a linear descent gradient from PSA to DF036 in the legs page including a deceleration from 250 to 240 kt.Now the next pictures show the plane does not follow it. After PSA it descends to FL107 and then stops descent due …

I have been having this problem lately and it has been since I installed AS2004. WHen on final after disconnecting the A/P the plane wont keep its straight path. It keeps turning right. I need to apply hard left rudder to keep it straight, and that doesnt always work. I havent been landing into heavy cross wind, just head wind. I callibrated twice too. What gives? When APP mode is selected, its fine.Brad ZImmer

ok, got it downloaded and installed. Added some liveries and then ran into problems. If I try and enter the game with a PMDG aircraft I get the MS error screen (send a message to ms, restart?) before I get to the game. If I log on with another aircraft I get in ok, and can then switch to a PMDG aircraft, but shortly thereafter I get the MS error message booting me or once a CTD. All my other aircraft are fine (hard to fly the other ones when the PMDG one is sitting there, hehe), and I've never had a problem with an aircraft before. Should I uninstall and start over? Do I need to install the original version first if I do? Any help appreciated. Thx!billg

Both times I get the same error message when I try to open the zip file. Was flying the PMDG on VATSIM last night (which is a complete joy...you guys did a great job on this bird) and center told me I was at 35,500, but the altimiter showed 35,000. The barometric pressure was set at 29.92 at FL180, and "STD" was showing.Hitting shift-z, it did in fact show 35,500, due to the difference in barometric pressure between 29.92 and the local setting. My question is, does the mode-c report the altitude from the altimiter? Or does ATC "see" the 35,500 in this case, and just take into account the difference? This possibly could be a controller error.I've never had this problem before. I had to descend to 29,500 for the "sim" altitude read 35,000.A…

I use the PMDG logo in my signature but it is rather like preaching to the converted to only have it showing in the AVSIM forums. Is it permissible to use it elsewhere which will presumably mean linking it to Avsim or is it available to upload to other forums.

I am aiming for flight levels well within normal operating procedures.I have no ideas, any help would be appreciated.Steve

Hey Guys I'm having a little problem with VNAV. I plan my flights, load fuel, program FMC etc... When it comes to the time that I have to descend the T/D mark is way off. I am using the rule where you multiply by 3. Like tonight I flew FLL-JAX cruising at FL270. Now using the rule I would have to descend around the area of 81nm but on my FMC is shows descent to occur at 60nm from the airport. I have to go to the DES button on the FMC and hit des now manually. This has also happened on a couple other flights of mine. Now when I get to the end of my flight and around the area of the airport it has a pink circle around it, but I think this is just for a go around.Plea…

Fellow PMDG 737 users,I have attempted, on several occasions, to use the autopilot (SU2) in MSFS 2004 with no avail. Autothrottle works fine, but none of the roll or pitch functions work. I am using the exact same flight plan, aircraft configuration, and procedures that I followed while using the 737 in MSFS 2002. I am sure that there must be a simple solution to this problem as I have noticed that no one else has brought this issue to the forum. Below is the flight plan I have tried in both 2002 and 2004 FS versions:CYYZ-AGBEK-BUF-ALB-GDM-KBOS Takeoff 15LZFW = 83,000 LBS Fuel = Full tanksCruising Altitude = FL310Above 500 AGL, click on LNAV, VNAV, and then autopilot. In F…
