Hey Guys,Im having a problem when the plane goes to autoland itself. I get everything set up right, using both A/Ps, both radio freqs set and all that stuff. It captures the LOC then the GS but about 3 miles out on final the plane kicks off CMD B and only flies the LOC any suggestions?

Hello all,I am currently working on a sidstar file for Kelowna, BC (CYLW). Kelowna has a non-precision RNAV approach with high minimums (2100' AGL). I need to know if there is a better way of writing this. Please look at the attached the plate, and the text below.APPROACH RNAV.A FIX BOLDI FIX ELSEN 4100 RNW 33 HOLD AT NAVAID LW LEFT TURN INBOUNDCOURSE 328 ALT 5600 SPEED 175 LEGTIME 1 TRANSITION GRASE FIX GRASE FIX DAMUT 6000 SPEED 170I am not sure if this is the correct way to write a non-precision approach. It flies well, but prior to the FAF (ELSEN)I get an FMC warning, "STEEP DESCENT AFTER ELSEN". However, because of the high minimums, there is no steep descent. A…

Hi All Happy New Year :-)I have a quick question for all you expert painters :-)I am trying to paint a line on the PMDG 737-600 engine pod, however, I seem to be running into difficulties regarding its trueness.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/55615.jpgThe line towards the back is pinched and irregular. I know this is down to the model shape and that I may need to paint a skewiff line to match, what I am asking is this, is there an easy way to do it? The line seem fairly comlex to paint if not. Is there any way of unwrapping the pod mesh to paint it? I am at a loss except for spending a good deal of time guestimating.Any offer of assistance greatly received.ThanksNigel.

Dear all,I don't find any instruction about how to set trimmer to the value indicated in the FMC TAKEOFF REF page at TRIM filed (eg. 5.50). I do not know how to adjust the trim. What am I missing?I've just finished a flight around London Heathrow airport (EGLL), fling by an FMC flight plan (EGLL 09R takeff, SID DET, STAR BIGGIN, EGLL 09R ILS landing) and everything went well: takeoff, climb, cruise (at 9900 feet), descent, approach (speed reduction, flaps extention, etc.), ILS interception and landing. The aircraft and its avionics are simply fantastic!!!Nothing comparable with other FS addon aircrafts!!!Three steps beyond all the other!!!:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) Many many …

I setup a flight from KMIA to KSFO. Here are a couple of shots halfway through the flight:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/55598.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/55599.jpgAs you can see the plane is quite a bit off the indicated flight path. It has been on LNAV/VNAV. Flight plan was built by FSBuild for both PMDG and MSFS.My question is why it is off like this? Thanks,

have been flying with the beautiful Aloha livery (by Martin "Hollywood"). This aircraft (N748AL) has winglets. Did a search on the history of this aircraft and found that it originally flew in Argentina but without winglets...and only later joined Aloha ..with winglets.... pictures of the aircraft with and without winglets exist..my question.. can winglets be retrofitted ?Is the difference in (fuel) performance modelled in PMDG ?thanks / b rdgs Dick Riddersma

G'day allI've been struggling with the descent-approach-landing part of the flight. My problem is, although I insert the wind speeds and the like to predict the descent path, it still requires the speed brakes to be deployed to get it down to 240kts below transition altitude. Once this is done everything goes fine until just prior to turning on final, where I have to disengage the FMS to slow it down from 240kts. I shouldn't be coming in at this speed surely?? Would I be doing the right thing disengaging the FMS at this stage? Should I be slowing down earlier?Basically, I need to know what should be done during descent, approach and landing in terms of the FMS, airspeed a…

Ok, Hadn't heard anything about the promised after the weekend fix for the dial up user. I hope this wasn't a plot to get us to keep quite. You said that after this weekend we would have info on what to do for dial up users and now it is Wednesday and still nothing. Now we are back to poor customer service. Why is it so hard to let us have our chance at this bird since we are paying customers. I have had no problems downloading other things for the last two weeks but when it comes to this program it wont work and not only do I get broken links but broken promises.David

I'm sure this has been posted before, but I couldn't find anything...I want to fly with ATC and SID/STARS. Is this the correct procedure:1) Using FSBUILD, build a flight plan for both PMDG FMC and MSFS.2) Open the flight plan in MSFS in IFR mode.3) Start up PMDG and load the rte into the FMC.4) Takeoff under IFR.5) Once established on the FMC route, cancel IFR.6) Fly with FMC to destination under VFR ATC.???Thanks,

Today, for the first time I really looked long enough at the text for the TAXI light to see that it doesn't say OFF and ON, but instead OFF and AUTO.That surprised me. I know of AUTO functions for the strobe, where it is always on when airborne and off on the ground, but this is new to me. What exactly does it do?Leo Bakker

Looking for some ideas here -- when climbing to altitude (and using correct FMC procedures) the aircraft speed and climb fpm vary plus/minus 50-60 knots and 0 to 4000 fpm. Cruise altitude varies plus/minus 300-500 feet, with corresponding swings in speed as the aircraft rides a sine wave above and below FMC cruise and panel altitude entry. This was very pronounced in v1.1 and is a little better in 1.2. Don't experience this with any of the stock FS9 acft or any other addon, so I conclude it is unique to the PMDG 737NG.Is there a fix?Jim Harnes
