I HAVE A SITUATION WHICH HAS OCCURED A COUPLE OF TIMES NOW.NORMAL ENGINE START UP SEQUENCE- GO TO ADVANCE THROTTLES - RESULT NO RESPONSE.YOU CAN SEE THE EGT AND OTHER ENGINE GAUGES MOVE AND THEY THEN RETURN TO IDLE. F4 ALSO HAVE NO RESPONSE. THIS IS VERY ANNOYING ESPECTIALLY AFTER PUSHBACK IN ONLINE FYING. ANY IDEA WOULD BE GREATLY APRRIECIATED ALTHOUGH I SUSPECT THE ONLY SOLUTION IS A COMPLETE RESTARTTHANKS ROB LINSELL

Hi altogether! When performing an ILS-appr, the approach-page of the FMC gives you quite some info:ICAO RWYrwy length ft/mtrAPPR type RWY (e.g. ILS 15)freq /courseSo how does the info look like when you fly a non-precision approach? I assume the first stuff looks the same (airport, which rwy, rwy-info)? But in a NDB-appr, you will not have a freq (or is the NDB's freq. displayed?) nor is it an ILS (so it might show NDB 15?)...My UA737 manual wasn't that helpfull ;-)BTW: I know it's just a small detail, but the large details are already known *g*Best regards,Stefan Bergert

  3. HiI know this isn't strictly a PMDG issue but was wandering if anyone's got any ideas why my water textures have a "tiled" effect as shown below. I have the water effects setting set to high - the textures seem fine i just seem to get these large straight lined tiles appearing!!!Many thanksGaryhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/69674.jpg

  8. Maybe I am wrong (and according to my wife i usually am) it looks like the new models have been improved somewhat in terms of shape and such. Not that anything was wrong before but for some reason the 800/900 just looks better in this regards.Am I wrong?Thx and keep up the awesome work PMDG!!!

Hey,can someone tell me how long beta testing took for the base package the 737-600/700? Since Robert told us that we are looking forward to a shorter beta test period than some other products. This might be a good hint for us ;) although it might be just a couple of days away now. I just dont want to stress pmdg guys with the same question over and over again. A Beta status quo information would be appreciated. :) I hope It

I recently was on one of Southwest 737-700's from Islip, NY (KISP) to Baltimore-Washington (KBWI) and I thought some fellow PMDG pilots might appreciate some of the pictures I took (they are hosted on my own server, and severely cropped for size, so I hope I'm not breaking any rules).Flaps 5 and taxiing away from the gate:http://www.etftiming.com/storage/taxi.jpgLifting off into the murky skies over Islip:http://www.etftiming.com/storage/liftoff.jpgClimbing through 10,000 feet, New York's Fire Island is visible in the distance, along with some boats in the bay:http://www.etftiming.com/storage/climb.jpgFinal approach into KBWI. Hi Everyone,I'm in a dilema regarding a hardware upgrade. I've researched numberous articles and web sites and I figure that this forum would probably be the best place to get information regarding this since so many of you have upgraded or are running good hardware for PMDG on fs2004. I value the opinions of other experienced PMDG simmers.BTW: I just purchased the PMDG 600/700 product a couple weeks ago and it is absolutey an awesome product! Can't wait for the 800/900 product.I'm on a limited budget right now and not sure whether to upgrade my processor or video card to achieve better FPS in PMDG. Currently, PMDG is playable but not to the frame rate I'd like. I ha…

First of all, what a great plane! I recently purchased the CD version, and the best thing about that product are the printed manuals. My problem is that, when flying, cycling thru the views, SPOT view gives greatly distorted sound, bad static, etc. Sometimes cycling thru all the views multiple times, or soundoff/sound on, will clear this out, sometimes not. I have Soundblaster Live 5.1 (I think); I've tried Low, Medium, High setting in FS2004, and pretty much anything else I can think of. Cycling thru the views on the ground first does not seem to matter. It's almost like it's related to the sounds for a particular level of engine thrust (please don't tell me it's N1…

I thought I would thank 'Stockerharris'..(David).. for giving me the opportunity to run PMDG 737NG at double the FPS that I was getting before I read and implemented the instuctions contained in a previous post from Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 33796 that he referred me to the other day.I went from 12fps to 24+ by following this procedure and it has made all the difference in the world to me. The procedure is entitled: "Running FS2004 in clean boot mode" and can be found by doing a search on the 'MS General Discussion Forum'.Thanks again David for your inputs and thanks to R. Parker who provided the very detailed instructions on how to implement the clean boot mode pr…

Hi everyone - almost all the screenshots of the 800/900 have the PFD/MFD showing analog controls on the digital screens. I can't be the only one who finds it kind of amusing that we're using digital screens to emulate analog instruments!I know this isn't a PMDG issue per se as much as a systems issue; but can those screens be configured to show the traditional digital attitude indicator with everything on it?Steve

Hi Captains, today I wanted to fly to Schiphol, Amsterdam (EHAM) for my first time as I didn't visit this airport before. I'm using FS2004.Well, I created my IFR flight using FSNavigator and just use the airport itself as last entry (no runway defined)as I didn't know the weather data (flying using real weather settings). ATC informed me to land at ILS runway 19R. Well, no problem I thought and tried to use the FMC to set runway ILS19R in order to find the ILS frequency in the approach information... But whats that? No runway 19 at all, neither left or right. Instead some 18' runways. Using the original FS map I was finally able to find the information I needed to land. Af…
