PMDG Team:I'm curious if you've looked at the VMax 742 and what your thoughts are. Summed up, my thought is it has tremendous potential and not to take anything away from the Vmax team (because I couldn't program a loop in basic nor draw a straight line) I think they are 1 developer and 1 artist away from a tremendous product.Comparing the 742 and the 744 is like comparing diesel and nuclear subs, but I was wondering if you think there's overlap in the market with your upcoming 744?Just to comment on my question... I'm wondering if you have anything that will be put in the package to incent those who may think there is overlap. For example - small aps such as load manager…

Hello and thanks for any help in advance.Performing an ILS landing with VOR and APP locked speed set to ref flaps 30 and I couldn't help but notice the line I think called the barbers pole fluctuating madly up and down from around 155 to 170 knots. Is this due to wind affect or is something else wrong?Landed fine but somewhat disturbed by thisregards Rob LInsell

  7. Hi all,Firstly, I purchased 737NG yesterday and I'm a convert. I spent a week or so trying to decide on the best payware small-to-medium airliner and the quality of this product completely validates my choice! If there's anyone reading this who is in the same position, trust me, this package is the one you want. Look no further.I have one question though, I am aware that the engines on the 300/400 models takes somewhere in the region of 3 minutes to spool down from idle to completely stoppped. The PMDG model comes to a stop rather more abruptly. Is that an accurate reflection of the CFM engine behaviour on the 600/700 or is it something that wasn't / couldn't be modelled …

Hi everyone,A couple of days ago i bought the PMDG 737NG, and at first i wanted to get familiar with automatic flight. I entered the flight route with a SID and a STAR for the arrival airport. After takeoff (after gear retraction) i engaged AP(A), LNAV and VNAV. Everything went ok, until the VNAV disengaged around 10000ft. When i tried to engage it again, i get the message "CHECK MCP ALTITUDE". What does this mean? The altitude for the next leg in the legs page was FL240. Yesterday i got more strange VNAV disengagements i don't know the cause of :S.I like your product very much btw!Cheers,Ian Udinga

Just purchased the B1900 Express - very nice aircraft! However, I have a problem with the engine sounds. The left engine, once started, sounds like the default jet engine (i.e. like the default MSFS B734), not a turbo prop! The right engine is fine. Both engines have appropriate startup and shutdown sounds.I have both FS2002 Pro and FS2004 and the behavior is identical in both. I've be using add-on aircraft on FS2002 Pro for the last 3 years without any sound trouble (i.e. it's not a driver/soundcard issue). Sound quality is set to high within each FS version.I found nothing related to this in the FAQ. Hope someone can help. Thanks in advance.Alan

Future Airline Pilot PMDG or any other helpers, can you help me and explain to me how to back up the files on the PMDG 737. Thanks, this would help. If you are going to answer my questions, please don't be rude about it like my previous replier before the PMDG developer. I am only asking for help. I did search the manual. Thanks PMDG for being kind in helping me. Thanks, Scott

Yesterday I uploaded my "Standart Operating Procedures" for use with PMDG's B737TNG to AVSIM. I took data from many different sources, including real manuals, cockpit videos and websites and put it all together to this document. Some "features" of this release :--> "Cold and Dark" to "Secure"--> Marked items that have to be redone before every flight segment--> Specially produced for use with PMDG's B737TNG--> Including Checklists --> File in .pdf for easy printing and reading on screen--> SOP's will be updated regulary to reflect current status of PMDG's aircraft (-800/-900)--> Current Revision V1.21 - First "Public Release" --> http://library.avs…

While I looked at the new 738/739 page I saw something that shocked (yes! ;)) me. Only compatible with Windows XP?!?!Is this just a way to secure yourself from any people that run other windows versions (as you probably develop on XP) or is it really likely that I need Windows XP (big Win2k fan here ;))?Secondly. Does the 747-400 also come in a Freight edition?Kind Regards,David Walschots
