I was wondering, does PMDG plan to put anymore failures into the 737NG series? I would like to see some engine fires and stuff like that. Are there any new special effects added for the failures there are already?Landon

Hello,You say that if I buy it +14 days after release, I will get with special price if I am PMDG customer. I dont know who you count as a customer, but I have bought your 1900D from download shop and I have the new boxed edition of 737NG series released by Aerosoft? Will this do the thing to get discount? Thanks!

If your looking for real Australian IFR routes that Air Services Australia recommend then I suggest you buy the EN ROUTE SUPPLEMENT AUSTRALIA ( ERSA ). This book is a must have! Its got details on every Australian airport and covers flight planning etc...It only cost $20.15 and comes with free shipping. http://vs6015.server-store.com/store/produ...em192.inetstoreYou can also view it online for free. Here is the IFR flight planning pages! You can enter these routes strait into the PMDG FMC!( the routes start at around page 10 of this PDF file. These routes also use high Alt Airways so you might need to lurn how to use the FMC before using them )http://www.airservices…

I really want to download the 737 from your website, however I'm not sure if I can do it yet. My parents have a Macintosh G3 which has the internet and a zip drive. Could I make the purchase from my G3, place it on the disk and load it onto the WinXP system in my room (without internet), unzip it and install successfully?Basically, can I download the 70MB zip file to my Mac and copy it to my Windows machine without any troubles installing? I have a feeling it will, I just want to make sure!If you could get back to me asap I would be most appreciative as I am very keen to start flying your awesome machine. Thanks in advance,Jeremy Soulsby.

Hi!I'm using a two monitor setup. I've got the main panel on the monitor in front of me, all other (overhead, throttle, radio and FMC) on the second one. I'm switching them on when I need them and off when not.One problem (has been reported here before) is that the main gauges don't "wake up" when the battery switch is flipped to on. Shift-2 and shift-2 again brings the panel back to life. No big deal, since you are switching on the battery only one time per flight :-)Now I've found another, similar, problem:When in-flight, I'm using shift-7 to bring up the overhead panel. Now the gauges on the main panel stop updating, they just keep showing what they displayed in then m…

Dear PMDG,with the new verions of NavData AIRAC 0403 with PMDG SIDSTARS 0403 I started to have problems in approaching London Heathrow airport. The 737, during the approach (e.g. EGLL via STAR OCK1G + DILS09R), misses the course. I had to go back to the previous NavData AIRAC 0313 with PMDG SIDSTARS 0401 to solve my problem.Andrea

Hello PMDG Team a Beta-T's!!Seems like you implemented trim sounds for the upcomming release...which is a caracteristic sound in the cockpit...May I suggest implementing the "also caracteristic sound" of the speedbreak lever when its move from armed to extended during landing...(you know, that "shwiiiish...":P ).Just an idea of course...and maybe you've already done it...:)

Hi,This is a question to PMDG. I apologize beforehand if this seems somewhat like a boring technical story, but for those that strive for realism and perfection it might be important. My question is related to the "Required takeoff field length" tables like the one on page 1-3 of the TAKEOFF section of the manual. I have the strong impression that this table means something different than what the explanation below the table describes. According to the description headwinds are indicated by a negative number and tailwinds by a positive number. I think it is the other way around. Why?1. The maximum allowed tailwind component for the B737NG is 15 kts, so why would you includ…

Hello Everyone: First off - would like to say that I've been flying the 737 NG for about 3 days now -- got the basics down (I think) -- except for what I'm about to ask... I can manage with the FMC up through takeoff - climb - and cruise. However, when we reach the time for descent - the problems arise. Question: If you look at the legs page - you see your position - and upcoming points --- to the right of the point name is a projected speed / altitude... If I were to use VNAV through the climb / cruise / descent - would the plane follow the speeds / altitudes listed in the legs page? Second - once I program the approach in, after clearing the DISCO, can I still use…

I've read a few posts about the AIRAC and SID/STARS procedures within the FMC. I have the AIRAC loaded with no problem, but my trouble is with the SID/STARS page. For any or all airports it never shows depatures or arrivals. I have loaded the SID/STARS file into the specified directory. Sorry if I sound clueless.. but I can't get it to work. Sometimes the FMC shows "error in approach line XXX". Am I missing something? Tried re-installing no luck. Any help would be great!Thanks,-Rob

Hi everyone,I am using the FSNAV to PMDG flight plan export module that I downloaded off of the PMDG site. I've been in contact with the author of it and he referred me to this forum to get a better answer for my troubles I'm having. Here are the steps I'm taking when exporting the plan into the FMC1. Plot out my FP in FSNAV and then save it. 2. Export that FP in the route format into the PMDG FP folder.3. Turn on the FMC and load up the Init. Ref, flap settings, speeds and everything else needed to take off including the FP itself.4. Start rolling down the runway and takeoff, then activate the AP, LNAV and VNAV buttons in the MCP5. Once I get in the air, the MCP has a spe…

I was just wondering if PMDG will be making a MMA version of the 737-800? If anyone doesn't know the MMA stands for Multi Mission Aircraft, basically a highly modified 737-800 for the US Navy, to replace the P-3C Orion. Here's some pics.http://boeingmedia.com/boeingmedia/img/R41a/R41as.jpghttp://mmaprogram.nawcad.navy.mil/docs/MMA...0SUB-1horiz.jpg

Hello,The following scenerio has occured twice now while flying online:- while climbing, I decide that I want to cruise 2000ft higher than filed, for wind reasons- after getting the clearance for this, I change the cruise level in the FMC, hit the EXEC button, and then change the cleared altitude on the MCP to the new cruise alt- Everything seems to work fine- I enter descend forecast winds into the FMC, and I'm in a hurry, so rather than using the standard descend, while cruising I select a 0.81/330 speed descend, so that the TOD is recalculated- I get descend clearance a couple of miles before I reach the TOD- I select the cleared alt on the MCP and on the FMC descend p…

Hi all,it seems I'm missing something, but somehow I'm not able to use communication over COM2 in my PMDG planes. I'm able to set the correct channel manually but nothing happens. Where to set COM2 as active port instead of COM1? First I thought in the overhead panel where you can set 1-both-2 for COM/Nav but it doesn't seem to work. Background: I'm using German airport additions from aerosoft with automatic docking systems. To set the system according to the plane, you need to set the frequency of COM1 (for example 127.37 for the 737). However (while my passengers are entering the plane) I for example want to receive the weather information in order to plan my flight (run…
