Hi to all felow PMDG pilots, I would like some help in knowing what the proper procedure is when using the autothrottle during a manually flown approach. is it left on until moments before the flare or is it at the pilots discretion when they want to disconnect it?

Hi,today I have installed PMDG 737-600I have this problem (only when I run PMDG 737):If I exit from FS2004 with CTRL+ESC (to look for a metar on Internet for example), when I come back into FS2004 "P" key (pause) doesn't work...so I'm not able to remove pause and I have to reload my flight...Any idea?ThanksLuca

Hello pilots,by now I am a proud owner of the boxed version of the 737 NG!All I want to know is, if I have to register my product at PMDG in order to be able to get the 800/900 update for the "special price".I read that you'll be able to buy the 800/900 upgrade for a lower price the first two weeks after release.Since the cd version had neither an online registration nor a serial I wonder how I will be able to proof that I am a PMDG customer and will be able to benefit from the lower price?ThanksHenrik

I've just ordered the boxed version from Aerosoft but am wondering about future updates etc with regard to compatibility.Is the boxed version as up to date as the download version (1.3?)...?Also, will airac downloads etc. be fully compatible.Apologies for any ignorance...Thanks!

Hi all,I bought 737NG boxed version at Aerosoft which came with 2 manuals - one describing the panel and one for FMC. But I'm missing a description about the Autopilot usage (CMD A; CWS A; CMD B and CWS :(.Right now I'm using CMD A only but I'd like to know / learn what the different autopilots are for. Unfortunately I couldn't find any description in my searches. The only "small" information I found in a forum was that CMD B is used for pitch & roll & NAV2 setting for ILS. Where can I find more information about the usage of those autopilots, especially the CWS A&B ?As "newbie" I do have also 2 other small questions...maybe you also have an answer for those: …

Hi,I'm currently writing a SID/STAR file for EGJJ - Jersey. I'm enjoying doing the short hop EGKK-EGJJ and back but I don't have any SIDS/STARS for the airport.The STARS for RWY 27 are fine, no problem. A problem develops with the STARS for RWY 09.All the STARS for 09 end holding over Jersey NDB (JW 329). No problem there, easy enough to write. So for example for Jersey 1G I wrote:STAR JW1G NAVAID ORTAC NAVAID ALD NAVAID SHARK HOLD AT NAVAID JW RIGHT TURN INBOUNDCOURSE 086 SPEED 180 LEGTIME 1 RNW 09The problem is the FMC seems to think that JW is over 3000 miles away. Hi All, With all these new releases comming out times are exiting. The 737-700-600 Aircraft by PMDG are superb and still enjoying flying it here. What really bugs me is the fmc in this product has not yet been completed before bringing out another product. The sids and stars are lacking and also runways for Major Airports to are missing eg(LSZH) only has runway 14 listed in fmc. I would like to know if PMDG are ever going to complete this product or is that it for the 600-700 series of planes.RegardsDavid Bowen

I'm seeking comments on how most of you fly IFR in FS9. Specifically, how do you handle ATC not vectoring via the STARS, and late with descent? Do you cancel IFR, ignore the vectors and STAR routing, or fly the ATC vectors, etc.. In other words, how do you use the great FMC to full advantage in FS9 - or do you simply go with the FS9 ATC/vectoring to your terminal area? Thanks for replies and suggestions!

Hi Guys,I'm curious about the realism aspects of the Beech 1900 you offer. I understand that it's an "express" model, and as such isn't packed with the same realism as your 737 series. I find the artwork of the aircraft stunning, so definite props to that. I'd like to know how comprehensive the aircraft systems are though.Is this aircraft along the lines of the default FS King Air, just flip some switches and go? I'm trusting it's not at the level of realism of the Fanda Dash 8, but, are the prop sounds, say, based on Prop RPM, not torque? Hey everyone: Quick question - just installed the 737 EXCELLENT PRODUCT!Only question is: When I clicked the AC in the menu it said version 1.2Then on the FMC it says ... hii would like to get more FPS with my FS2004 & PMDG 737NG. i thought of buying some more RAM. is that recommendable, or won't that increase performance?my specs: P4 2,5 - Radeon 9600 PRO 128 MB - currently 2x 256 MB RAM ----> would buy another 512 MB RAM chipset, but since i have only 2 slots, that would make it 786 MB RAM overall...any comments?thx, stu

Hello All,I am trying my hand at creating STARS and have come up against a problem that I can't quite grasp. When you have a STAR that serves multiple runways but contains different navaids within it for each runway, how are you supposed to enter it in the database? Do you have to make up new names to avoid duplication or am I missing something? I have Terry Yingling's excellent tutorial, but this one has me a little bewildered. Can anyone throw me a hint?Thanks,Chuck

Hello Everyone: About to go out and purchase my 737 NG (tomorrow!! :) -- already have a few add-on liveries ready to go!) Question is -- does the bird come with an up to date version of the SIDS / STARS? If not - where can I download them from?? Also, I have heard several people talk about missing Airports / Runways after they update their SIDS / STARS --- does anyone know which airports (Major US only...) have these problems - and how would I go about fixing them? Thanks - can't wait to take my first flight in the bird, any ideas for a nice quick (2 hrs max), easy one?Dan :) :+
