Can anybody help me determine what processes to save when using the 'End Process' function in the Task Manager? I've got about 32 processes running when I have the 737 NG running as an application. I'm wandering if I can improve my fps by closing some of these processes that are running. I looked at "End-it-all 2", but it doesn't state if it's OK to use running WinXP which is what I have.Any help would be appreciated.Regards,JackKGSP

Does anybody else have the GPWS screaming at them when they're perfectly on the glideslope?Like this fully manual landing at Shannon in the 737-700, why does the VASI show me as on the money, but the GS and the GPWS saying otherwise? I'm puzzled...http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/70616.jpgBen:-eek

Hi AllCan you please advise if the 737 800-900 package will update the panel on the 737 NG package and does it update the 737ng package in terms of general improvements etc etc, I see some improvements on the 2D panel in the new package particulary the cockpit frame across the top of the 2D panel, superb product but I think the 2D panel on the 737 NG does not look all that realistic compared to the quality of the Virtual Cockpit which is outstanding, just my opinion.RegardsWayne

Hi guys,PMDG staff - I apologize I'm posting this here but there are so many well informed folks in this forum I thought I would get good information.. (btw I do own your fantastic 737NG ;-) )I currently have a P4 2.4 gig running @533mHz, 512 RAM, NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4200 64 meg video. There seem to be alot of ATI fans here. Would any of their cards in the $200 range bring me an appreciable image quality and performance improvement over my GForce card? I see the 9800 pro 128 meg card is $200. Am I better off waiting for the price on the 9800 pro 256 meg card to come down? How much of a factor is the video RAM on performance or quality? Thanks for any information.

1/ i find my panel night lighning too bright: how can i reduce the intensity of the amber colour?2/ is it possible to enable the random failure without a fixed time? the yellow indication gives 28 seconds or such values, so it seems unpossible to enable all the failures in a really random way. am i wrong??3/ i would like to know the weather at the arrival airport at the moment where i fill up the FMC, to set the forecast values at the moment of departure. How is it possible to view the actual arrival weather, temperature, wind directions and speeds, and actual ATIS??i heard of the new tool of aerosoft FS Flight Keeper, but impossible to download it today as site is too bu…

Hello,Just wondering if PMDG would release the factory livery aswell, I mean the plain metal one, pre-paint, like we saw it in the first pictures released. It would be very cool if we could fly it like that as well !!! Could you consider please ? thx !regards,Thomas

I use four computers, four monitors and the Project Magenta glass cockpit with the Boeing CDU and GoFlight throttle and panels to fly the default 737, all under the control of Radar Contact. It's a great setup and makes flying realy fun. What I was wondering is, what would be the advantages of getting the PMDG 737NG, since I wouldnt be using the cockpit, 2d or vc, nor would I be stepping outside the plane much to admire it in flight???It would be nice, I guess, to have anohter monitor overhead to display the overhead panel and to go through all startup procedures.Any thoughts ont he subject, anyone???John WNewburgh, IN

My video card (Geforce FX 5900 Ultra 256mb), and my montior are capable of handling a high resolution. I currently fly at 1024x768 full screen. What's the optimum resolution for the 737-7? Is there an optimum for FS?Thanks in advance,John

Hi folks,Is there a formula or table that can be used to calculate the appropriate assumed temperature for thrust reduction? I realize there are a lot of variables considered (RWY, TEMP, GW, etc) but I would like to be performing this properly instead of just using a guess. Thanks,

Hello Everyone: Since FS ATC doesn't use SIDS / STARS -- how do you file your flight plan - so you can follow your own SID / STAR route? I am guessing file as VFR and then ask for Flight Following - the contact your landing airport when the time comes?? Let me know - thanks again!PS. Just got the 737 NG yesterday -- enjoying every minute of it...

During flights I'm noticing in the Navigation display that the heading pointer moves out of the "north" and that the current track value becomes incorrect. So for example when I set the autopilot to heading 125 and the real heading is correct (as checked using String-Z, in the navigation display it shows maybe "122" and the heading pointer not "at top". Such changes are mostly within +/- 5 degrees range from the real value. Is this correct? If yes, is there any way to either manually or automatically (like key "B" for the current altimeter setting) synchronize the magnetic and "real" values? Thanks much & Happy Easter to all of you- Andre

Hello All -First and Foremost, I love this plane. I've been waiting for a great 737 since DF737, this one takes the pie. I'm having just a lil' bit of an issue with the right engine. I can't seem to start it manually. I always have to use CTRL-E to autostart it. Now the left one I have no trouble with. I'm following the tutorial procedure and the left one starts A.OK. Fuel looks good, fuel pumps on, hydraulics on, and power good. Any ideas? Thanks!Rob

Sirs,Under GROSS WT, I can't change the weight value i.e. it is fixed. Is this true to real life operations for the NG? I know in the 767 this value is changed to the landing gross weight in the cruise so you can calculate Vref for landing.Cheers-Paul

Hi allI know lots have people have been asking about the airstairs key assignments for the PMDG737 so I apologise for my dumb question. My problem is that I have assigned the keys Ctrl+F10 to "Extend Concorde Nose/Visor Fully" and Ctrl+F9 to "Retract Concorde Nose/Visor Fully" as advised. Pressing Ctrl+F10 extends the stairs fully, no problems but Ctrl+F9 will not retract the airstairs. Absolutely nothing happens. I've tried different key assignments so I know it's not my keyboard playing up. Does anybody have any ideas? Wondering if some other FS-Addons that I installed could have fouled things up? Thanks guysNathan

Hey, man! I just wanted to ask you if the idea I proposed about a year ago of putting cabin row numbers fell through... It's OK if it did, I'm just wondering. :)Daniel P.
