HiIs there anyone at PMDG or anyone else out there with a knowledge of HTML know how to create a kneeboard checklist for FS2004. Explaining the procedures to set up the plane from a Cold Dark Start.Just thought it might be an idea to be able to see this whilst in flight.

A while ago a picture was posted on this forum of a primer/bare-metal 737-800 which was about to be added to the 800/900 Downloads section of the PMDG website.Haven't seen it listed there yet. Any ideas when it will be out??James Stevenson

Hi all, this has probably been asked by a few people, but I can't find it in any threads.Since add-ons like the 738/900 usually require some activation code, will it be possible to either intall the 737 NG on multiple computers, or download it on one computer, but install it on another? I am wondering this for a few reasons:1) I'm losing my 10 megabits/s connection in a week2) The computer I want to install it on is not built yet3) The promotional pricing is ending soonThanks for any info -Dan

There was an article in Airliner World about a Navy 737-800 with winglets that is to replace the P-3 Orion as Maritime Multi Mission Aircraft. The article had a artist rendering of what the aircraft might look like painted in low vis Gray with US Navy markings. Are there any painters out there that might want to tackle this. I figure you could us the P3 as an example. Here is a link I have no idea how to make the link smaller. Also a cool tail marking from Willow Grove JRB, PA. The failures are very random for me, I've only had three failures at V1 out of about twenty takeoffs, none of them consecutive. I always save my last flight and resume using my last flight as the default. I've had two occasions where I'd hear the engine failure when the flight is loading. Each time I have found that if I go into the Failures menu under Aircraft (not the PMDG menu) that the boxes are checked under failed for both engines. If I reset the failures I'm able to restart the engines and resume the flight without further problems. This may not work for everyone, but it's a lot better then the restarts and reboots that some folks are doing.Hope this helps,Brian…

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem:When using the PFD/ND format only, during flight, when I rotate the SPD REF knob through the WT position, the heading indicator, altimeter, and VSI disappear on the PFD, and then the sim crashes to the desktop.I had the following setup:737-700 in Alaska Airlines livery with 2D panel.Departing runway 1R out of SFO.85% of fuel in the wing tanks and 0% in the center tank.The MCP was set up to climb to 6000 ft at 250 kts on a 012 heading in Lvl Chg mode and HDG mode.Autopilot engaged in CMD A.Autothrottles on.While climbing out of SFO I rotate the SPD REF knob through the WT position and everything on the PFD disappears exce…

I live in Asia (China) and all of a sudden (last 2-3 days) can't access your main site.Is there any problem or is the Chinese and/or US Govt playing around again and blocking servers?If this carries on any suggestions how I will be able to get the NG maintenance release.I have no problem with any of my other flightsim sites.Paul Gardner

This is not a support issue, so I might be posting this in the wrong place, but.... I was watching a show on The History Channel last night called "From Tactical to Practical" and they got into the subject of simulators. Of course they showcased the high tech military simulators, but they also showed off a little bit of MSFS ACOF. They also interviewed a guy who has built a full cockpit Boeing 737 simulator designed around fs9. Naturally, I was watching with great interest. Low and behold, what should this gentleman be flying but the one and only PMDG 737NG! There's NO WAY to miss such a great looking plane with a very distinctive paint job. On last weekend I was flying to Frankurt/Main over VATSIM. On final, approaching 50 feet I idle the throttle, disconnect the autopilot and autothrottle and upon touchdown I hear "ENGINE FAILURE" and the two engines began to shutdown.Same thing happened on a similar flight.Aircraft was 737-800, no spoilers armed, flaps 40, speed about 150 knots, FS2004 just in case, the only unusual thing I see beginning descent was "AIR COND" on the warning annunciator lights.However on a third flight on same landing configuration, instead of idle the throttle, I have landed with 10% thrust and no engine failures were detected. I've just finished installing (flawlessly) the two products i've both.First impression: astonishingly wonderful!Everything user configurable, even colours!I did a fast roundrobin flight to check everything, and i had some glitches i'd like some explanations for:1) takeoff speeds: i have my 800 loaded to 136klbs ZFW (173klbs GW). Now what weight should i reference in the charts? GW or ZFW?2) during the approach, a light come on (did it twice and it came on twice) on the air conditioning panel, is it normal? it says "off (unreadable) descent"3) lower eicas: it is always blank (black), is it normal?For now: wonderfull aircraft!I even tried the engine fire, and it is awesome!

These are some replacement lights i came across on www.Flightsim.comIt is called "spotligh.zip"Just have a look, it looks really good at night. The author recommends that you set your contrast up quite a bit. I have a LCD screen using DVI, so i cannot set contrast unfortunately.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/74089.jpg

Just downloaded the new wing views for the 600/700 & 800/900 found in the Avsim Library? I backed up my panel.cfg file first though just in case. Worked fine after pasting the text into my panel.cfg "VIEW" section. Not a bad view of the wing and engines using the keyboard Ctrl 1, 3, 7, 9. I'll keep it for "view" variety and added enjoyment of the PMDG 737 series. Tom Stewart

I understand the new 800/900 understands SID/STAR files with soft altitude constraints. Does the 600/700 understand soft altitude constraints when written in a SID/STAR file?Roger

Hello,I have just purchased the PMDG 800 / 900. I am an existing PMDG owner (of the 600 / 700) which I bought in boxed version.When I installed The 800 / 900, after I restarted my PC and loaded up FS..FS just ended itself..with no error message or anything.I unistalled PMDG products, re-installed the 600 / 700, loaded FS and everything was fine. Then installed the 800 / 900 again, and same problem. I do not mean to be a bad customer, but I am quite angry at this, and this may or may not be any of your faults, its just I have been looking forward to fly the 800 / 900 series :(Please please give me a cure!Regards,Daryl Reilly

Heres something interesting that's happening to me. it all started earlier this week when i way flying my Alaska 739. I loaded up the FMC, put in my flight plan and got everything set up. then i went to the cruise page to view my computer calculated optimum cruise altitude. funny thing is that it was 200 feet above my maximum cruise altitude. like it said opt/max: 375/373. Now whenever i fly either the 738 or 739 i get this same opt/max altitude problem, always the same 200 foot difference. I dont know if anybody else has had this problem. its not terribly high up on the bug list if it is a bug. just something to take a look at. thanx in advance for any helpdavidinf…
