Hi, Hi, When I am at the landing phase, it seems that I cannot stabilize the speed when I disconnect the AP. It seems that this AT only works with the AP switched ON. Is that true? If not how to do that?Coimbra

HI GUYS I JUST FLOWN A RETURN FLIGHT YBBN--YBCS,YBCS-YBBN. THIS BIRD FLIES FANTASTIC .I HAD THE MOST ENJOYMENT IN A LONG TIME FROM A ADDON AIRCRAFT IN SETTING THE FLIGHT UP THRU THE FMC AND THE SATISFACTION OF TAKEN OFF&LANDING SUSCESSFULLY BY THE NUMBERS EVEN IF I DO SAY MYSELF .HAD NO PROBLEMS LIKE I'VE HEARD WHAT I DID DO ,I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH FPS&STUTTERING SO I DID A FRESH INSTALL BUT DID NOT START FS9 UNTILL I HAD INSTALL ALL OF THE 600/700/800&900.IT RUNS AS SMOOTHES ASIT GONABE I ONLY FLY AUSTRALIA AT THE MOMENT.I HAVE LANDCLASS&MESH AND I GETTING BETWEEN 18-23FPS WITH EVERYTHING SET ON MEDUIM I'VE GOT IT LOCK AT 25FPS.ATHLON 2.4 ASUS/MB-768M…

With the quality of workmanship we have from PMDG, wouldn't it be nice if secretively they started building a triple 7 for FS9? The company that built the last one is really droping the ball finacially by making a Concorde instead. I bet the money will roll in to the company that makes a 777 first.Just a thought. LOL.:-) :-)

Hello, Please bare with me as I realise this is a flying question and not a PMDG technical question. It refers to the 737ng 600-700 and 800-900 series.You have obtained your approach speeds with the FMC which state the flap deployment at various speeds. Other flap settings 15/30/40 are determined by speed and the green numbers on the speed band. You also have your approach height/glideslope capture as determined by the approach plate (ie 3000 feet).QUESTION. What aircraft speed is appropiate for the distance from the airport? I seem to get variuos speeds verses distance when I search about the internet. How far should you be when you go flaps 30? The outer marker?F…

Hello Folks, I am experiencing trouble with a SID. I am getting 'DISCO INSRTD AFTER (500)' I have checked this using Terry Yingling's guide for this type of error, but still can't get it sorted. Here is the SID:SID MARUB3 RNW 34R KEEP HDG UNTIL 500 HDG 120 INTERCEPT RADIAL 075 FROM NAVAID SY FIX MARUBHeading for Rnw 34R is 335.I have got around this by creating and inserting a FIX after 500 which is placed within the arc of a turn to 120 degrees to ensure that you intercept the 075 radial. Dear Members, I Purchased the Pmdg 800/900 series and it reeally looks great..But unfortunately i have a problem...I noticed that the PMDG 600/700 panel came like the 800/900 series? is this normal? Everything was working ok before installing PMDG 800/900......should i re-install everything ?Pls help me!

I never updated to the 1.3 update with the 600/700, but had to for the 800/900 package. I've only flown a few times, but it seems as though the flight dynamics are very different in the smaller models. I feel as though my hand flying on approach and landing is pretty bad. Am I delusional or did something change? I was getting pretty good at manual landings.Also, I had to perform a go-around tonight when the FMC was unable to descend to 2000 on schedule at GATTO (ILS RWY-9 KSAN). It pretty much overshot even though I only changed that one altitude in the LEGS page. It didn't seem to like the downwind/base approach at all. When I setup for GA I set the AP to HDG and …

After installing the 8900 my framerates dropped to the floor, the planes are almost unflyable on the approaches as the frames drop parralel to the altimeter. I was just wondering as you said earlier that the new 8900 would improve framerates, are there enyone else experiencing this? Framerates have never been an issue for me before.BestsKevin

Hi to all Have just installed the 0404 database for the FMC. When I now try and load certain destinations eg LEMG,LEAL, I get an error message on the bottom line of the FMC. The Message for LEMG is Err at 40, line 73. Also there are no runway numbers displayed on the depp/arr page on the FMC for these airports and no SIDS/STARS though I know I have them in my SID/STAR folder. Has anyone else had this problem. My old database for the 600/700 used to work fine. Cheers Roger

How do I load any of the PMDG 737 series aircraft with engines running, ready to fly. Since downloading and installing the 800/900 series they load in the cold and dark configuration, including the 600/700 series. Please reply to [email protected]

Sometime ago I remember a post showing the B1900 in a BA livery. Can anyone tell me where I can get it from - please?Just as an after thought I have got the new 800/900 and it's OK. No really it's brilliant and I don'tknow what you some of you guys and Gals are doing but mine has worked from the first flight no problems (other than me). Oh and if someone is doing a BA livery for the 800/900 - hurry up - please.

Future Airline Pilot The liveries outside PMDG on the avsim website do not have the self-install like the ones on PMDG as many of you know. Can someone please tell me what to do. I will tell you how close i got. I got very close. :-) haha. Anyway, i had the texture.ua file. I copied those files into the PMDG texture file and pasted them. It worked wow, but i tried to rename that file back to texture.ua and it didn't show up in flightsim. Does this mean i can only have one aircraft repaint? I did the Aircraft.cfg also, but im not sure if im doing that right either. Thanks. Scott

HI all, since I have been flying the 737Ng I have noticed that the approach spesds seem unusually high regardless of the landing weight ogf the aircraft. For instance today i fly the -800 series and set the fuel so that I would land with about 2000 lbs in the tanks (not very realistic I realize but so what!) ZFW 126000 lbs set. the FMC calculated an approach speed of 141 knots with flaps 30 set. I do not doubt for a moment that these figures are correct but I am surprised at the high speed given the relative light weight of the aircraft vs. a 767 which if my memory serves me correct when I flew the PIC 767 would give approach speeds around 130 knots for a typical landing …

Hello guys and maybe from what I read a token girl (I'm not sure if its one of those pmdg guys in drag?). Here is my question/ Bought the 800/900 and not having the best vision in the world find the new radio stack harder to read than the old. Is it possible to install the 800/900 but keep the old radio stack for the 600/700. I have many of the issue on the forum (especially the frame rate) so I have removed the 800 for now but when I reinstall later I don't want to touch the 600/700. Any ideas? Hope this makes senseregards Robert

Hello,I've tried searching with no luck. How do I get the Vref speeds for approach to show on the PFD? I have selected flaps 30 in the APPROACH page and made them big, however they will never appear on the speed tape in the PFD. It's used to work on the 600/700, but after I upgraded to the 800/900 I am having problems. Thanks.

Hi Guys,I've downloaded textures for Alaska and Frontier for the -700. I've installed hundreds of textures before but these two are giving me grief. I've created new folders, copied the original textures then copied the new textures, overwriting the appropriate files then added the new aircraft to the confg file. The texture names match the folder names, so thats not the problem. For some reason these two aircraft aren't showing up. I've gone over the config file line by line but can't find an error. Hi captains,I bought the PMDG 600/700/800/900 a couple of weeks ago, but i still cant't figure out how to use the autoland function properly. I am first flying on VNAV/LNAV as i enter the approach. When i start extending the flaps, the FMC lowers the speed limit to just under the max flaps speed limit. When i reach this speed, i want to extend more flaps. Now the max flaps speed is lower and i get an overspeed disconnect, so the problem is that VNAV keeps my speed to high.When i'm finally in the desired configuration, i press VOR/LOC to capture the localizer. I usually takeoff with flaps 5 on the 737NG. After rotation, the only flap/speed indicators I see on the speed tape are "1" and "up". About 10 kt below "1", I raise the flaps to "2" and immmediately the "2" appears on the speed tape.Is this normal behavior or a glitch (PMDG or my installation)?Thanks.
