I can not enter the SEL/OAT below 16C while at the gate, the FMC showed ___/012C but I was not allowed to put in 12 in lsk1. Is this an isolated problem that I am having because the manual makes it sound like it should be able to be done and the 600/700 used to be able to:SEL/OAT: Selected Outside Air Temperature and sensed Outside Air Temperature are displayed at the 1L LSK.Selected Outside Assumed Air Temperature: The 1L key provides the crew with the ability to enter an assumed air temperature (SEL). Valid entries are one or two digit entries from 0 to 99. This field cannot be changed once the aircraft exceeds sixty five knots, or after autothrottle engagement. The fie…

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone was having problems downloading the Cruise Performanc document on the PMDG site? I have tried off and on all day with no sucess. I 'reported' it, but I know that PMDG probably gets swamped with dozens of emails a day. I have been able to get all of the other documents, and so far, I have been very happy. Thanks to PMDG for a great product, plus all of the extras and support that come with it.ChuckAthlon XP 2800+ASUS A7N8X DeluxeAntec TruePower 480 PS1.0 gig DDR PC2700ATI Radeon 9800Pro 128 running Omega DriverSB Audigy 2WD 60 gig HDDWD 40 gig HDDCH Products USB YokeCH Products USB PedalsWindows XP Prohttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/i…

I know there is probably something I'm missing here but:I have tried to assign new keyboard commands to the pushback feature. "U" for straight back, "I" for tail left, and "O" for tail right. The "I" and "O" have worked fine, but not the "U". It apparently is used in a "panel switcher" command and pops up the radio stack when "U" is pressed. So, I went to the "panel switcher" menu and only found 1 item which used the "U". From memory (as I am not at home on the PMDG computer), it seems this command used Shift+U. Anyway, I deleted that command and then set up the "U" for straight pushback. Works for a while, but then reverts to popping up the radio stack on subsequent use …

Hi,does anyone know what it means? I get this message quite often in the last days. Everytime I load a 737NG aircraft. I have installed the latest AIRAC-Cycle from navdata.at.Does it mean it overwrites the current cycle with the old one? It's quite important for me to know if the cycle is getting modified or even overwritten, because I use FSNavigator and RadarContact and I need all AIRAC data to be at same version level.ThanksGreetingsConstantin

it's a week that I try to solve my problem without success:half of the times I try to land in a full autoland configuration, just a little bit before touching, the autopilot disconnects and the trim starts to work (I think it tries to mantain the glideslope...).I read a post few days ago about this problem; the user said that perhaps the problem was the imported flight plan...I tried making directly the flight plan in the FMC but it did'nt solve;...naturally, the setting of all the parameters for the autoland is right when the autopilot disconnection happens....soI hope that someone could help me!thank you very much albertoPS: is not possible to to set the gear in the …

My issues with this turned out to be associated with having two afcad .bgl files for this aiport (PANC). All other aircraft I had (payware and freeware) were be able to fly around this airport no problem.Only the PMDG line (all 4 models) would cause a repeatable CDT after 6-8 minutes in this area. I origianally had a PAI .bgl file and then several months later purchased the MyTraffic Product, which when just recently upgraded, added another .bgl file.they dont seem to like each other very much - eliminated the PAI and concluded 3 take offs and 5 approaches and landings for PANC - no problems.

I did some searching, but could find this topic, so i hope not to dig up a buried problem. The fact is simple: i'd really love to use some hardware with such a peace of software like the PMDG 737 NG.I have some suggestions for you PMDG guysfirst: just make it possible to configure any command (pretty much like PSS with the bus used to do) and link to keyb commands or the likes; and use some standard offset values, and some custom (just like mr Schiratti does for his PM soft)second: make an external module, purcheasable apart from the standard interface, that eighter reads default offsets, or the same PM custom offsets (they are public in the FSUIPC docs, so you could use t…

Hi folks,Generally I'm extremely impressed with the whole 737 series.Found a few new bugs.Just for confirmation and troubleshooting I unistalled everything and reinstalled it with the following results.PMDG 737-700 1.2 engine shutdown possible with the engine fire switch.PMDG 737-700 1.3 same as abovePMDG 737-700 with the 800/900 installed, engine fire switch does not shut down the engine. Also if you select engine fail at V1 or engine fail in e.g. 10sec, the failure panel states correctly that the engine HAS failed but it doesn't fail. Same for the engine driven and electric hydraulic pumps etc...RegardsBernt Stolle Capt 767

In the Tutorial for the NG, this is how they say to do it-when on course to intercept the localizer-1) When the needle starts moving, press LOC2) Press ALT HOLD, THEN press APP3) Press CMD 2In the CBT courseware they say simply-when on course to intercept-1) Press APP, then CMD 2I found things got screwy when I tried the first way. When I simply pressed APP, it worked fine. Which way is actually how it should be done?

Hi,I've downloaded the 800/900 and have been busy printing out the manuals, I read the TCAS mini tutorial and although it seems to be written for an experienced multiplayer/Online Pilot I think it should be made clear that when connecting your aircraft should be parked at a gate, not "materialise" on the runway then "Taxi or Slew" off it.I'm sure you understand that that practice is very naughty, and would upset a controller and/or other pilot if a plane suddenly appears in front.Sometimes planes do materialise on top of each other at gates, but, so long as pilots fly with crash disabled that should not cause a problem, merely a short slew to the nearest free gate.Cheer…

HiI'm using Wideview for flying. So I'm using 2x18 inch monitors for the undocked mainpanel. To do this I have to exclude the whiskey compas and the corresponding pedestal.Does anybody have a modification made like this? Can anyone help me to do this. In the PIC767 this was no problem because the mainpanel and the whiskeycompass/pedestal are two separate panels which can therefore be undocked separatly.Peter

Can anyone offer some helpful hints on how I can have the positions of PMDG 737NG pop-up panels "memorized" for saved flights.I know when loading a new aircraft, this is not possible. However, within a saved flight, panel positions and sizes should be able to be memorized. To make the matter even more curious, certain pop-up panel positions and sizes ARE memorized (specifically the CDU and Throttle panels). But the Radio Stack and Overhead (and Chronometer) pop-ups are not -- however, there sizing IS memorized.I have a two monitor set-up, so everytime I load a flight, I have to move over the Overhead and Radio Stack to the second monitor. But the Throttle and CDU are alw…

Hey everyone and PMDG,Today I had my first TCAS "traffic traffic" warning signal. It was totally cool, today in the middle of the day, not really many pilots online on VATSIM, I took a flight from Heathrow towards Manchester, UK, and so happened that me and this dude were flying almost the same FLs. I was FL100, and when he was reaching me, he was in the climb, and we were both on the same airway. Although, before there could even be resolution, I was already heading another direction. But I didn't notice him before the TCAS warned me, which was really awesome...Great stuff!
